There are shorter games from earlier eras -- Freeway for the Atari 2600 could be completed in under 30 seconds. The idea there was just to see who could complete it more times within a given time period, player 1 or player 2.

There's a Robin Hood game on the Amiga where you are supposed to build up your merry men and take out the Sheriff Of Notingham. Normaly it's a long game.

However the game starts in the castle with the Sherrif throwing you (Robbin) out. But you can actually kill him right there.

It's possible to finish this game in less than 2 seconds. Must be a record.

This compilation is nice indeed (btw well played that MarbleMadness), but these aren´t the shortest videogames ever, sorry. At Least Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong jr. (with the first appearance of Mario) are one or four screen games. Marble Madness was one of the most improved Arcade games in the mid 80ies and "far more complex" than dozens of games people played on the c64, Sinclair Spectrum etc...

But it is as i said, a nice compilation nevertheless.
