  • Soccer is hands down a better sport to play than basketball or football but i find football to be a better spectator sport.

  • Simple intellects need constant stimulation...

That's why American sports are overloaded with scores/points..

if you have an attention span of anything above a plankton molecule low scoring shouldn't be a problem to you.

  • im American...and i love football..the REAL football...(the one without helmets).

  • This guy's delivery is so boring.

A would-be TV presenter that just fails to engage attention.

    Viewing terminated at 0:41

  • after the u.s. bows out we stop paying attention? didn't the 2010 world cup keep getting better ratings in the u.s. up until the finals?

  • @Ktulusnightmare HONESTLY SINCE THEIRS SO MUCH IMMIGRANTS IN THE USA... ALOT OF THEM WATCH FUTBOL... ITS NOT SURPRISE WHEN MARKETS SOLD OUT FUTBOL GAMES IN LOS ANGELES, MIAMI, HOUSTON, NYC... ITS MOSTLY HISPANICS.. LOOK AT BARCELONA FC... ON A WEEKDAY.. IT SOLD OUT.. OTHER PRO TEAMS IN MIAMI CANT SELL OUT A GAME DURING THE WHOLE SEASON

  • Soccer has never caught on in this country? Who are you kidding besides yourself? What, you drive around your neighborhood without passing by a park or two? Look around, idiots!

  • Does this guy realise that most of the world finds American Football & Baseball boring which is why it they have never caught on outside the US. Or does he just think that Americans follow the best sports in the world ie American sports lol. This guy definitely needs a reality check.

  • @mromz89 NOO BASEBALL IS HUGE IN LATIN COUNTRIES... AND ASIA AS WELL... ITS AMERICAN FOOTBALL THATS NOT POPULAR.. HOCKEY IS MORE POPULAR WORLDWIDE THAN AMERICAN FOOTBALL

  • @eaglemonty05 Every grown ass man play sport dipshit your incredibly STUPID! Your FAT Grown ass men dive to each other and didn't FAT LEAGUE play NFL since they were little kids. Your comment is PURE INCOMPETENT AND STUPID comment!

  • Eggball players spend half the game on the ground and that is legit true because they just throw themselves around like idiots. And diving doesn't even happen that much, and it only happens when a player wants to get a cheap foul. You don't understand the game because you have the attention span of a squirrel and can only watch 5 minutes segments of anything.

  • hey Matt Straq if you don't think soccer is violent how about you play a game against some of the hispanics that play in leagues I can guarantee you that they would have you on the floor crying because the hit you in the ribs and they are so sneaky that nobody would have seen the guy do it... they would only see you rolling on the floor gasping for air and crying like a little bitch and if you don't believe it.... try it

  • @DarthMex1991 HEY... THEIR WAS A MATCH IN PERU UNIVERSTARIO VS ALIANZA DE LIMA... A FAN PUSH ANOTHER FAN 20 FEET FROM THE UPPER DECK DURING A RIOT... IM MEXICAN... ITS CRAZY... ALOT OF AMERICANS DONT UNDERSTAND BECUASE THEY KNOW THEY WILL GET THEIR ASS WHOOP

  • @Kemiztri yeah Im just saying that the only people who dont like football... ARE THE PEOPLE THAT SUCK AT IT!

  • @DarthMex1991 people who dont like football are ususally the ones who dont know about the world

  • @Kemiztri that's true man... I can believe that this guy would actually make a show called That Sports Show he should be ashamed

  • @DarthMex1991 USA talks about sports that most people worldwide dont care... Americans are so shunned from the rest of the world... i have a friend from mexico and he is real madrid fan... we were talking and these americans were puzzled and didnt even know what was real madrid??? one of the biggest clubs in the world.. they didnt know madrid was in spain??? its amazing how dumb downed americans,,, worst one was when black guy told me that he didnt know mexico had their own states????

  • YOU

    DON'T

    UNDERSTAND

    FOOTBALL (SOCCER)

    SIMPLE

  • I don't get why the americans always complain about the low scoring in football (soccer) games. I've seen games end with a 0-0 draw that were more entertaining and suspenseful than games with high scores. Anyone who brings up that argument has never watched a good game. A real football fan knows what I mean.

  • @Danilo2moon a 0-0 draw with many chances is exciting, I think it's boring when there are only a few chances and no goals, that can be boring, but I agree if it's end to end with alot of shots and chances it can still be entertaining with no goals.

  • @stubs96 IT DEPENDS ON WHO IS PLAYING... IF ITS WOLVEHAMPTON VS WIGAN?? OF COURSE ITS BORING BUT WHEN ITS MANCHESTER CITY VS CHELESA.. THATS DIFFERENT ITS EXCITING... IT DEPENDS ON WHO IS PLAYING

  • @Kemiztri MANCHESTER CITY SUCKS, MANCHESTER UNITED IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD!

  • @isaaccontractor nooooo its barcelona fc

  • Of course when Kobe Or Lebron dive to draw a foul it's perfectly okay. I hate how my country is so hypocritical. Real football is creative and one of the most exciting sports to watch, while american football has a stoppage in play every four seconds and lets not forget that baseball is as boring as watching paint dry. I'll take rugby and football over american sports any day.

  • you seriously dont understand football. its not only about scoring goals, its about team play, making a good attack at the opposite team. its about individual player skills.

  • Comment removed

  • @NoFlowButStillaBro I meant the whole damn team.

  • @NoFlowButStillaBro sure they do. All I ever see them do is see dive cause they're out of shape pussies.

  • Fuck this guy

  • @NoFlowButStillaBro They either dive to the ground or run off the field all the time. If they're so manly then take the hit.

  • American football players dive to the ground more than football players. They say they're manly but hit the grond as fast as they can so they won't get hit

  • If American football is so great then why isn't there a world cup? Football has it, Rugby has, maybe not Tennis but even cricket has a world cup!!

  • but the funny thing is that every county apart from the US couldn't give a shit about Handegg

  • America hates football, because they have not the best national team ;)

  • @HironobuIsolation

ironically - the US team is much better than England, the home of proper football.

  • @jazzx251 what are you smoking? usa sucks England is one of the best teams!

  • Nothing is yours!! Even English is not ''your'' language !!

  • SOCCER IS THE BEST AND AMERICA SUCKS.

  • Silly Yanks, football is good BECAUSE its so low scoring. Thats why its so epic and tense and goals are so special when they arrive. Watching the build up play and creation of chances is fun on its own. Thats why they call it the beautiful game. I guess Americans with their dumbed down fast food culture just arent able to follow or appreciate it. Basketball is boring as fuck to me because you just take turns running across the court and scoring every 5 seconds. Whats so exciting about that.

  • You know he's american when he says 'He doesn't like soccer'

  • LOL Why do you Europeans care so much about why we dont watch soccer? Its like our lives revolve around you guys. WE DONT GIVE A SHIT!

  • @kemoblue4u We don't either. You American.

  • @MultiObligation Yeah im sure thats why there are no anti-american football vids right? LMAO our lives revolve around your sub-continent.

  • its cause soccer isnt an american sport so the media portrays soccer in an unbelievably negative light to protect its own precious sports. but hey i personally enjoy soccer haters. i enjoy laughing at pathetic ignorant xenophobes who just repeat whatever people tell them about soccer so they fit in and are cool. and yes, the fact that MLS isnt the best in the world is another reason. we only care about the best.

  • why americans don't watch football????????????FUCKING WE DON'T CAREEEE

  • american football is rugby for sissies

  • It's fair enough, America are shit at football, so why would they care about it?

  • The idea that even at its highest level there are only 1 or 2 goals per game is another proof of the american ignorance on the subject: in football (soccer) there are more goals at a lower level because of poor team organization and sloppy defense. But Americans can't understand this because even at the highest level in the NBA, NHL, NFL, MLB etc.. teams are often not organized and rely more on the individual strength and skill than anything else

  • @m33plays ...and your point is...

  • fucking assholes ignorants who love sport of fat people

  • Also, he says they like hockey more because its fast paced and "violent".

That shows the world what the USA is really like..

  • I bet if the USA invented football, they would defend the diving at all costs..

    Fucking hypocrites.

  • @Joricky12 probably the one thing we would never defend.... we complain about our sports doing it, and in soccer it happens so often its like the sport is like professional wrestling (fake and filled with drama) mexicans love that.

  • @eddieisfiction Theres nothing fake about the most watched sport in the world and theres something very boring about 5 seconds of gameplay that your sport produces. Comparing these 2 is laughable because real football is much superior than American football you rely on skill not strength. Anyone can get fat and hug other men in our sport you're either born with it or you're not.

  • @Joricky12 no. happened in a giants game everyone started calling them assholes and people wanted the NFL to implement fines against the players and implement rules against that

  • @MIXEDUPTHROWNTOGETHR American Football = not real Football...

  • @Joricky12 i honestly don't care what its called

  • @Joricky12 That's not being hypocritical at all. Do you even know what that word means? Also, we didn't invent it, so who cares? Your point is invalid.

  • @ThePoonerBooner I know what hypocritical means. All Im saying is that most, but not all Americans always defend the stuff they invented, and hate things they didnt invent.

  • @Joricky12 That still doesn't make what you said hypocrisy.

  • @ThePoonerBooner No but I would bet that most american who hate football would defend it if the USA invented it, which would make them hypocrites. I said most Americans are hypocrites, but that doesnt mean its true..

  • @Joricky12 That's all hypothetical though. You could believe that all you want sure. You own't ever find out though because Americans didn't invent football so you can't even begin to say that they would love it if they had. They didn't invent it, so you can't say that they would love it if they had.

  • @ThePoonerBooner No, I can't, but I'm pretty sure they wouldve.

  • all FOOTBALL fans agree with diving and bad referee'ing, the fifa is to corrupt to put in video cameras because that would make the game fair and uninfluencable.

    It's the damn corruption

  • It's futbol

  • @TheMagicBolt dude don't embaress Mexico and other CONCACAF teams

  • I only watch association football when the US is playing, other than that i have no interest.

  • Its not soccer... Its FOOTBALL

  • To those who don´t like football: who cares?!!! Why is this such un important subject? No one is forcing you to love it, so drop it.

  • Americans just like seeing goals, goals, goals, which is why they dont like sports like hockey or real FOOTBALL. Football is more than just goals. Some matches could end goaless and could still end up being a fantastic match due to the brilliant defending and talent of both temas. Ive seen football matches that have ended 3-3 and found the match very boring.

  • Why does this have such a low rating? This nails the main reasons why soccer is not a mainstream sport in the US. I love soccer, but u also have to realize that this dude has a point when he talks about flopping, bad refereeing (especially bad refereeing), and lack of scoring. People who do not see his point and love soccer are just as ignorant as the people who love American football.

  • Fuck u, its called STRATEGY

  • It's not soccer. not futbol, it's just football. Well, maybe soccer, but not futbol! And for fuck sake, if you don't like football just go watch the NFL, I do the same thing with football don't I? Well, Madden is kinda fun, but that's beside the point... Don't be like monkeys throwing crap at each other and just like or dislike it without hurting anybody. I love to see our Van Bronckhorst make a beautiful goal, you like that one dude score a field goal or touchdown... So be it!

  • It seems to me that the rest of the world obsesses over the fact that Americans don't like futbol more than Americans obsess over hating futbol.

  • @TheGreaterGood80

The rest of the world? But the dude in this video is American....

It's not the fact you don't like it, America isn't the only place in the world that hasn't embraced football (soccer), but i have noticed that most of you non-soccer playing countries are all weird/eccentric in some way.....

  • That's like a 5 year old playing "I don't wanna play anymore because I lose". Grow a fucking pair.

PS: The sniper thing was funnt though, I hate faking injuries in football.

  • You don't watch soccer because commercials cannot be in a Soccer game.

You would be hard pressed to find any American media corporation that shows a full soccer match simply because there is not enough money in it.

    1. I agree with football players moaning and whining and cheating. I suggest people check out the Gana match between uragry (however its spelt) horrid match.

    2. Commericals imo is a huge reason.

  • You look a lot like Tony Plana, the famous Cuban-American actor.

  • What homegrown sports? All you've done is taken British sports and added slightly more unnecessarily fancy costumes (baseball, American football).

  • @MadOldPete do you think soccer is a European sport by nature? Furthermore, do you mock the Australians and Irish since they have modified forms of rugby as well?

  • @TheGreaterGood80 Well, the Australians and Irish have at least kept their versions manly. Also, what do you mean with your first question?

  • @TheGreaterGood80 You seemed to assert that our sports are "British" yet soccer/futbol has roots in non-European cultures. Care to point out what British sport basketball derives from?

  • @MadOldPete You have no clue what you are talking about. American Football is a completely different sport than Rugby with or without pads. And guess what you didnt invent soccer soccer has its roots in other countries, so if you wanna play it that way, Your form of football isnt a homegrown sport.

  • @TheMagicBolt well, it has different rules, but there's no doubt at all that American football is derived from rugby. as for association football, I'd like to know where it came from if not from Britain. if you're talking about that Chinese training exercise from thousands of years ago, do you think that's in any way relevant? football in Britain evolved entirely independently.

  • @MadOldPete It came from a game played by the ancient greeks and aztecs. Then It was changed, yes it was changed in Britain. Just how Rugby was changed into American Football in the US.

  • @TheMagicBolt lol, how do you think an aztec sport would've been brought to Britain when the two cultures had no contact? there have been variants of games played with round balls for thousands of years, and essentially none of them even vaguely resemble modern football. there was no obvious precursor, unlike American football.

  • @MadOldPete You are mistaken. Ancient games played by the aztecs could of been recreated in Britain hundreds of years after the aztecs. The Greeks also played a similar game.

  • @TheMagicBolt wrong. early forms of football appeared in Britain well before they knew the Aztecs existed. in any case, various ball sports evolved over hundreds of years in various countries. doesn't mean their rules were at all close to modern football.

  • @MadOldPete exactly my point. THe MODERN day game was ORGANIZED in Britain and was modified to its modern version over years. Just as AMerican football was modified to what it is today.

  • @MadOldPete believe it or not, american football is not derived from british rugby... but rather irish football... the sport was officially invented when yale took on a canadian rugby team at irish football... and then a rugby match... and then at that point added a little bit of rugby rules to it and then the sport was on its own.

  • @MadOldPete Ti's is the history of America mate. Look at what the British have done and do it better. Democracy, freedom, capitalism, sports, military, science, innovation, art, music, you name it, the British have done it and the Americans have done it better. The student becomes the teacher or something along those lines. You should be proud that there is one thing that the Brits can do better than the Americans(football), not mad because they don't like it as much as you do.

  • @TheFatboy1800 while you no doubt think you're being patriotic by spouting the propaganda you've picked up from somewhere, it would probably be better if you learnt a bit about the areas you've just reeled off, rather than just sticking your fingers in your ears and humming your national anthem.

  • @MadOldPete Well educate me sir. We certainly have a freer market (for better or worse), fared better in the Olympics, much larger and advanced military, Patented a large majority of modern inventions, our music and dance is spread across the globe and copied. I study international relations, lived in Europe for a year, and spent a couple weeks in London. I absolutely love England/Europe. Just telling the truth, and if you Brits weren't so hard on us, we wouldn't have to be so arrogant.

  • @TheFatboy1800 I'm sorry, but pretty much all of what you'd just said doesn't look so good for the US when you consider what an enormous country it is. per capita, the UK fared better at the last Olympics, has a more illustrious military history, and has punched well above its weight regarding innovation and music. I wouldn't try to tell you the UK is better than the US, so why try to force me to concede the reverse?

  • @MadOldPete Football= simple jersey with numbers and possibly name. Baseball= 3 button shirt. Didn't know that was considered fancy.

  • @Fallout3Follower seriously? it's like those are the only sports you've watched. let's not mention the tight, shiny leggings worn in American football, or the helmet and comedy shoulder pads. and in baseball, it's perfectly functional to tuck your trousers into your socks, and wear a cap literally all the time. in summation, the shirt isn't the only item of uniform. you need to use your peripheral vision more.

  • @MadOldPete Paddings are for safety, nothing wrong with wearing a baseball hat. And for football you don't want someone to grab hold of your pants.
