I am an atheist egyptian ex muslim.I recently watched this movie and I must admit I the animation and visuals are AMAZING and I loved them.I used to be a muslim and the story of Moses in islam is almost COMPLETELY different than the story in this movie.Am I the only one who felt sympathy for Ramses? His own damn son dies and hell I'd go batshit crazy if someone was the cause of my first son's death.Did I mention how the "loving" god caused mass genocide on all the first borns of Egypt? "loving"
The main cause of divide between Ramses and Moses comes from the fact that Ramses father constantly demanded nothing but perfection from him. The line where Seti mentions about a weak link bringing everything down makes things hard for Ramses.
In a way, there's a bit of irony in that phrase. Ramses thought him showing leniency would make him the weak link, where it was his own pride and stubbornness that did it.
This behavior later led the "breaking of the mighty dynasty" as Seti put it
@ShamrocksRLucky No they did not. Val Kilmer (Moses) did not and I know that for sure. In the words of a wiser person, "READ THE 'MEN WHO WOULD BE KING' MORON!"
This was one of my favorite movies when I was five, and I am also a Christian, and I can say I like this movie a lot more than most other movies based on Exodus, because of it's theatricalities, and that it's realism, which most often Disney tries to avoid Realism in every way possible.
In all honesty, I think the Characters had more too them than stated in the video, but otherwise a good review.
You forgot to mention the same person who voiced rameses also played lord voldemort

Would you ever consider reviewing "Joseph: King of Dreams"?

Stephen Schwartz wrote the songs in the film. Not Hans Zimmer. Hans Zimmer wrote the score. Love this film and the music it it!

Your reviewing style is like plinketts. Yet you lack the old voice.
