  • @goarmy48 You are stupid.

  • Hahahahahah so fake the plane explodes before the whole thing even hits the ground. The nose touches and it just turns into a fireball....CGI

  • There goes $40 Million taxpayer dollars up in flames.

  • @fsxexpert Maybe if you send them a letter they can refund you the loonie.

  • Riderpoet- pitching the nose with what elevator authority at that speed?

  • Yiiiikes!!! ... and I'm not talking about the aircraft crash either! :)

  • Low altitude aerobatic demonstrations are just about the most dangerous form of flying short of actual combat. Having said that, I wonder why he didn't immediately lower the nose? The crash was caused in part by being at an ultra-low airspeed, a high angle of attack at a low altitude, and being below single-engine maneuvering speed when the engine failure occurred. The correct response would have begun with an immediate reduction of angle of attack.

  • how the hell is it a cf-18???? what kind off cargo can it carry? or do they mean canadian f-18?

  • @carbongecko A CF-18 is the same as the F/A-18 . Its the Canadian version with some modifications.

  • I was looking for an 18 inch Crash cymbal .. Whatever ..

  • @pierrevogt67 then why did you click on the picture of a plane?

  • @k2477456 I just was interested lol :)

  • ale urwał!! :D

  • The Flight Safety investigation continues to examine the loss of thrust in one of the aircraft's engines, factors that prevented safe in-flight recovery of the aircraft, and training for demonstration pilots.. “It started to slide to one side and the nose started to drop… so I knew my only chance of survival was to pull the ejection handle,” he said. “My training kicked in. I knew I had to do it. It’s something that we train to do, but it’s rare to actually have to do it.”

  • Interesting comments any of you people work with those guys the maneuver he was doing was a High Alpha Pass it seems to be a left turbine compression stall on the right engine and it leaves you with no maneuvers possible at that low-speed ejection is the only solution these are all professional pilots and you saw the proof right in front of your eyes. For the comment it was just a hornet it shows what you know.

  • The viper maneouver haha i got a good laugh

  • Meh it was just a hornet .... should have it been a SUPER HORNET .... OH GOD!!!!!

  • 1:48 epic uglyness

  • @lucianmop its people like you that make people take their own lives. just because shes not the prettiest girl in the world doesnt give you the right to make fun of her.

  • Stall fail

  • you should not fart in the middle of so much electronics

  • this is what u get when u use american technology, canada would be better off unretiring the cf100 clunk

  • it was probaly windshear

  • On the positive side, that newswoman is hot

  • @piskapiskapiska

    and underfunded

  • cool!

  • Miranda Turuk looks like the plane crashed on her face...

  • Did they ever disclose the cause of this accident? It looks similar to a few other accidents Ive seen that were caused by pitot tubes giving a bad airspeed to the computers.

  • we where flying in 50 y/o P-3s... They are upgrading a 30 y/o fighter? how old was the F-14 b4 they "retired it?

  • too much stalling lol

  • うわああ

  • The same situation we had the Colonel. Anatoly Kvochur in 1989 in Paris, the MiG-29

    watch?v=YL1FblthxQ0

  • PIMPLES!!!1 1:46

  • themattwish dumy haves to think! piloits dont know what they need to no to fight an F-18 fighter jet, This i now because i am in the Air Force qnd used to operate the aresster system for the f-18s in inuvik!

they learn and do what they can with the plan in order to be prepared for that little extra bi that they may have ask for when in a combat situation!

that being said there is a new war starting as we speak if you read the news

  • @piskapiskapiska its called humour bro, and that wasnt funny... atleast my country isnt 10 trillion dollars in debt

  • that really sucks..i give the pilot credit he did not eject until the last moment. buy the F-35!

  • The crash was due to a fly smocking crack on the combustion chamber in the left engine...

  • He got 20g's n'y being ejected wow

  • @carriere777 ny?

  • @mikel1982 probably mean "by" ^^

  • @carriere777 no ny as in lateral acceleration

  • damn, i wana bang her

  • He didn't 'loose control' he lost a engine.

  • This happend like 20 kilometeres from my house.

  • wow we only had 80 of those to beggin with.

  • What a moron of a pilot. I hope he gets to pay for that aircraft he jusr wrecked.

  • @TirianB You are an idiot

  • @hewittdj1 I am an idiot? How about the pilot who flies a million dollar plane at stall speed just to show off and crashes it into the ground? He is not an idiot?

  • @TirianB No hes not an idiot Canadian fighter pilots are actually highly educated people...

  • @TirianB WHY is he an idiot bud?

  • @MagnesiumAlloy I believe I have said why. Read my previous post again.

  • @TirianB You can not tell the cause of the accident from this video and fact is it is pretentious of you to do so. Did you see the interview with the pilot who said he encountered some turbulence and gave the plane power to pull out? Perhaps his plane went into an aggravated stall as a result of a down draft... 0_0

  • @TirianB Sorry Dumbass...but that pilot is not a moron. He was excecuting a well-known airshow manuever called a "High-Alpha Pass" in preperation for an airshow he was to perform in soon. One of the engines ingested some foreign debris and shut off...at the same time he cranked the throttle to pull out of the manuever. This caused a difference in Yaw that could not be recovered from, even with rudder applied fully in the opposite direction.

    Fucktard

  • @gruntloverdx Yes, he is a moron for doing a "High-Alpha Pass" 10 feet off the ground. Why the heck does everybody defend this guy? If people would fly aircrafts like they are supposed to be flown, from one place to another in a safe height above the ground, no one would be hurt. People who crash aircrafts by doing airshow maneuvers are indeed morons in my book. They can just fly properly and stop with their showing off.

  • @TirianB By the looks of it he was more like 100 feet off the ground. And by the way, this is very well known maneuver and had executed it multiple times (22 I think) this season alone. BTW, this is his job, and his aircrafts purpose, so don't talk shit about someone doing their job. Fuck off, you under educated loser.

  • @gruntloverdx I don't care what his job is. That is not a way to fly an aircraft.

  • @TirianB That was absolutely the way to fly combat maneuvers in a combat aircraft that was never meant for point a to point b flying, its not a bloody cessna.

  • @TirianB I would ageree with you if he was flying a Boeing, but not when your flying a high-performance fighter jet. Your wrong. Deal with your obvious failure and drop it.

  • @TirianB You do realize it had an engine failure?

  • @SuperColossal33 So what? It's the wings that keep a plane in the air, not the engine. If you fly in a way that causes you to crash if you lose the engine, then you are a moron, just like the guy in this video.

  • @TirianB Wings do not keep a fighter jet in the air.

  • @SuperColossal33 Of course they do. It is a plane, not a rocket.

  • @TirianB without the engine though, jets can hardly glide, so yeah, wings dont really keep the plane in the air

  • @TirianB

    Stop with their showing off?

Its a good damn AIRSHOW, they are paid to "showoff".

Wings don't keep a plane in the air, the engine plays a MAJOR role. Rockets (the example you used) don't use wings but they remain in the air!

You an idoit who should just stop commenting on videos.

  • @TheMattswish If people are paid to show off, and risk being killed, why the heck is it always oh so sad when they do get killed? That is exactly why they do it. They don't fly planes like they are meant to be flown, they fly them in a way which increases their risk of being killed, just for the thrill of it. In my opinion they are nothing but suicidal idiots, and people should stop feeling sorry for them when they get killed. They can just stop doing what they are doing.

  • @TirianB

If they stop doing it, will anyone watch airshows? Probably not, because those tricks are what excite people.

Anyways, why are we talking about death when the pilot in this video lives?

  • @TirianB thats a funny way to put it, if everyone was afraid to do this job and not do it so what do we do when shit happens? throw rocks at incoming aircraft? They are not crazy or suicidal, they are fighter pilots, people who fly aircraft have a passion for it, they are living their dream. I'll ask you a question, would you rather live 200 years in a straight jacket staring at a white wall or live 2 years living a full and exciting life? now replace the white wall with an office cubicle.

  • @ 1:09 Martin Baker was the major attraction. They sure know how to make good ejection seats. lol.

  • His fault,it's called paying attention to your Alpha and your airspeed.Too high alpha, low speed, equals what happened here. The pilot SHOULD have known that.

  • That anchor is smoking hot.

  • Chuck Norris should'a been there to lift up that droopy wing!

  • So do we know why it happen like was it a engine faillure or what happen?

  • Damn half our airforce gone just like that

  • @awsomeman192 Is there was less faggots like you that governed b4 harper, we would probably have a decent military....

  • @QuoVadis696 one i dont run the country u fucking idiot, 2 canada uset to have one of the top militarys in the world, 3 i prob know 1000 times more about canada's military then u so stfu kid

  • @awsomeman192 lolololololo

  • @awsomeman192 LOL

  • The Canadian government originally purchased 138, of the CF 18's. So I think they still have a few spares.

  • @TheFreeExile of which 76 of are still in service -,-

  • @awsomeman192 fuck you

  • @cdnparatrooper haha is there a problem tough guy?

  • @awsomeman192 yeah there is the canada is in the top 10 of the world best militarys

  • @cdnparatrooper thats nice...? im canadian to dude, im just saying that canada's air force is terrible we only have 76 usable fighters from the 1980's, calm down

  • @awsomeman192 we are getting new f-35 jets so quit bashing the military

  • @cdnparatrooper im not bashing the military im bashing our air force theres a difference, and we only ordered 65 of them and will not be recieving them untill 2016-2018....

  • @awsomeman192 air force is apart of the military the defenition of military is army navy and airforce put together

  • @cdnparatrooper yea but im not bashing our army or navy now am i....lol?

  • @awsomeman192 its still military i i have family members in the military some in airforce

  • @cdnparatrooper my brother is in the land force command....

  • @awsomeman192 lol no wtf ur talking about

  • @awsomeman192 ahhaha

  • @awsomeman192 nope we have 550 + aircraft in the AF.

  • @Toronto324 we have 391 aircraft

  • @awsomeman192 in 2011 we have 550 + aircraft and over 201 helicopters. 391 was a few years ago.

  • @awsomeman192 check out the website ''globalfirepower''

  • @Toronto324 that site is un realistic it counts like every plane we have bought that is still in service tons of them have been scrapped, ex 138 hornets were bought only about 78-100 remian in service

  • @awsomeman192 well before it was updated, it did say 391 but now it says 550, in 2011. The AF did buy aircrafts in 2011.

  • @awsomeman192 Wow, 65 jsf?? why is your airforce getting only 65?!? i mean you are canada! we in Holland ( like one of the smallest countries ) is even getting more! we even used to have around 140 F16s

  • @reindenaab Sorry but we only need 65 to save you guys again when you are invaded, like ww2

  • @reindenaab Sorry but we only need 65 to save you guys again when you are invaded, like ww2 no need to thank us again. MANY Canadians were killed liberating Holland

  • @gphodgins1 At times Canada was a strong-armed force.. today we'd be saving you as it seems! ;(

  • @reindenaab 65 is the current amount being bought, they will more then likely buy more later on, but as you said 160 f16's.. 25 JSF could take out all 160 of those.

  • @Outlawpimp101 Yes but we are getting 80 Jsf's aswell, all our F16s will be sold by then

  • tis is what happens when you buy american

  • @Love4SK go buy it elsewhere plzzz

  • wollongongrx, you are such an asshole...your such a prick

  • see that coward bail out.....grow some balls

  • all of the f-series planes are junk, by migs or sukhois

  • Lmao, the guy at (2:24) looks exactly like the pilot. If you told me he was his brother i would have believed you.

  • this year? no way. looks like really old footage.

  • @Milkshakman it happen I remember hearing about it

  • @78720 yeah I guess based on the date. but damn.

  • @Milkshakman Yea its very sad

Thats awesome he survie tell the tail!

  • @Milkshakman becasue its not profexxional most liekly taken with a home camera or maybe even a celphone or duigital camera

  • i read that in the paper the day after it was exactly 10 28 am at a restourant near the trans canada

  • Well, there goes Canada's air force.

  • I do believe you initiated the insults when you called me a dumbass.

  • lucky he managed to get out and was quick enough to think on his feet and ejected when was this july things like this are very rare and very serious coz it dosent happen often

  • Cool! I love plane crash vids where no one dies

  • This piolet was actually a very good friend of mine and we visit with him when he comes for the airshows in lethbridge all the time! and the problem was an engine failure! not feul. thats the stupidist thing i have ever heard! and the Canadian military is awesome! who ever put them down you guys are fucking morons!

  • carolyn jarvis is smokin' hot

  • Awesome response time to the ejection button. wowzer!

  • @cloudsifter11 i know they were just some thoughts that i came up with

  • Who needs terrorists to shoot our planes down, we fuck our own shit up haha..

Shitty deal, we don't have many of those around to crash..

  • 9 Billion and were pulling out in 2011?

What the FUCK! I guess they'll push more taxes/fees to pay it off.

Canada = Over taxation to the extreme.

  • Pretty sure he lost an engine. In still photos of the ejection you can see the variation in engine nozzles. A classic low-speed, asymetric thrust issue. Same thing that happened to the MiG-29 at the Paris air show in 1989. This pilot looked like he was much lower than the MiG, though still having an open parachute higher after ejecting much earlier in the rotation.

  • dunno about pilot error... he might've lost an engine on a high alpha pass (our pilots do fly low and slow, and they're good at it)

  • It was probably Tim Hortons.

  • how convenient. first the government jams a $9 bil bill with a $12 bil more for maintenance. when we complain, suddenly a plane crashes to shut us up. the funny thing is that it happened in southern Alberta, where people give their lives for Harper to be right. I suspect sabotage by the government and military contractors to shut opposition. this is the same as terrorist attacks in Toronto right after people complained about the lumber deal Harper made. don't complain or bad thing happen to us

  • i was ending my epic road trip on that day. i was driving just north of lethbridge around the time of the accident. we did see some smoke. i didnt even knew this happened until yesterday. ill glady take those cf 18's off the governments hands when they are replaced.

  • @bobfish0013 It was a stall. This was not a vertical climb. It was a slow speed pass sometimes called minimum controllable airspeed. The F-18 does not have "thrusters". What likely happened was while increasing throttle to maintain altitude the R. engine failed for whatever reason. It could be a compressor stall. Because the airspeed is so slow, this can causes a wing tip stall and the plane will spiral into that direction. No matter the cause, the end result is that there was a stall.

  • kaBOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM

  • The plane probably went into a stall, because that 45* angle is quite a dangerous angle which in confirmed by this vid.

  • 1:50 : she is so ugly..

omfg look those craters on her forehead!

WTF! smoke crack or take meth often? LOL

  • LOVE THE GUY THE INTERVIEWED

  • What's this all aboot?!

  • There's no such thing as a perfect woman...........but Caroline Jarvis is as close as I've ever seen.

  • @Turvein amen

  • only thing more spectacular than this footage is the retard pilot wanna-be expert comments....

thanks for sharing and giving me a good laugh.

  • the pilot looks like an armature

  • @MrStephensmitty the pilot looks like the witness...anyone else notice that?

  • man i just saw this guy in dawson creek on wednesday that is crazy!!

  • Global news ftw?

  • God, I don't want to be a conspiracy nut, but this is really convenient for a government that's been under criticism for spending a lot of money on replacing those planes.

  • The pilot was really a women...they just don't want to admit it lol.

  • In America you grow up fight in a war, you die for America.

In Canada you grow up fight in a war, you die for America.

  • @sheldon4life In Canada , you work to live and help the other , in america , you work to look good and beg everyone for help

  • @RockMuppets If you didn't get me joke it was meaning America can't find their own damn war and killing our innocent people.

  • WTF we only had like 200 jets to start with -1 now were at 199 ouch LOL

  • @Bcboi92

no we have like 70 something sadely

  • stalling fagget wasting tax dollars

  • probably just spilled coffee on the controls and was to much of a dick to say so he caused this giant conspiracy of investigation. to my opinion xD

  • @bobojeff123 I do it in my car all the time! Stupid Tims Coffee Cup lids!

  • DESTROYED IN SECONDS

  • @DamonNicholl

lol that guy cracks me up.

  • Probably one of those jets I keep hearing overhead lately

  • Also, its great to see Canadians using feet instead of meters. Great.

  • @HugeJasFilms Why exactly? The base 12 system makes very little sense for measurements.

  • Well shit, Alberta is fucking flat. How did this happen?

  • @HugeJasFilms You think Alberta's flat, wait to you see Saskatchewan, us Albertians make fun of how flat that place is

  • Canada -- the only country on earth where they use "heck" in the news.

  • Canada....sh*t happens.

  • lol why do Albertans talk weirdly

  • $18 billion dollars to go...

  • yay, there goes 1 billion dollars

  • Why can't they write Alberta instead of AB? Do the extra letters cost them money? Is the operator focused on her ABs? Or maybe, it didn't happen in Alberta...

  • purchased back in 1982? oh, u got to be kidding me...
