I love this temple. I grew up in Northern Virginia and I remember being there at the groundbreaking. I also helped with the open house before the dedication and went to the dedication. My brother and his wife were the very first couple married in the DC Temple, Dec 17, 1974. There was another couple from Africa that can make the same claim as both, I believe began at 9am. Anyways, lots of great memories. I am now in Portland , Oregon, and love our temple here as well.
