I love those blankets because they were easy to make and came out great, but your right about the hand hurting lol. They share a room because our upstairs of our house is unfinished. Eventually our room will be built upstairs and our daughter will get our room, dunno when they will be though. Don't have any problems with them sharing though, thank goodness =)
I love it all! I've been wanting to make a fleece blanket like that but haven't done so yet! I heard the hardest part was just cutting the slits because your hand starts to hurt! I also love the "fabric picture"! Your kids share the same room? My 3.5 yr old son loves to sleep by his sister and is wanting to share a room with her when she's a little older. How old do you think you will continue the room sharing? We are getting 2 twin beds in his room so they can share!
one question on the fleece blanket...can use faux fur?

@littlechickmunk not sure, I use fleece because it doesn't frey so they ends can just be cut and not have to be hemmed
