That's wrong !! Ariete has a cute fire control system and the screen to manage the unit on the battlefield is a prerogative of the tank commander location and of course it has on board .
The Leclerc's autoloader is a crap ,offline for the 70% of the time .
I don't know how can you make a comparison seeing that Leclerc has never faced a war theatre like Ariete,Leopard and the others did .

comunque l'ariete viene definito come sub-standard rispetto agli mbt come l'abrams, il leopard 2 o il t-80 o 90, infatti é stato progettato negli anni '80, ma solo alla fine degli anni '90 é uscito dalle linee di produzione.
é vero, ma quello che volevo dire é che alla fine degli anni 90 gli altri carri avevano giá avuto numerosi update, per non parlare di oggi. praticamente dei carri di allora é rimasta la base, corazza, cannone, sistemi di tiro e i vari sistemi optronici sono stati cambiati. invece l'ariete praticamente é ancora nello standard di 20 anni fa, cioé é un leopard 1, un po' meglio corazzato e dotato di un po' di piú di mobilitá.
Non è proprio cosi ,anche l'ariete ha gli stessi sistemi a livello del challenger2 ad ed leo2 anche le corazze sono state aggiornate con un kit aggiuntivo utilizzato per la prima volta in Iraq .
E' anche tempo di sfatare il mito del motore non adeguato visto che il challenger 2 con la stessa massa dell'ariete impiega un motore della stessa potenza e cilindrata .
Diciamo pure che sull'Ariete si sparla un pochino troppo .
diciamo che sul leo 2 attualmente in linea, il cannone é di lunghezza superiore e puó usare munizioni migliorate (cariche potenziate) quindi ha una potenza di fuoco superiore, inoltre la torretta é totalmente elettrica, con IR indipendete per il capocarro, telecamera posteriore per il pilota, etc.
l'ariete non ha nessuna di queste cose. il leo2, il leclerc e l'ambrams sparano con precisione fino a 40km/h, l'ariete fino a 20km/h... l'ariete é sotto gli standard attuali.
ero capocarro in un battaglione da ricognizione armata a lungo raggio (non in italia, sono mezzo italiano), sicché queste cose le ho studiate, oltreché viste dal vero. adesso vorrei sapere quali sono le boiate.

Adesso ti vai a buttare sui particolari , io ti sto dicendo che l'ariete non è il ferro vecchio che credete dalle tue parti ,e mi stupisce che siate ancora aggiornati al progetto base . Oltre il refit effettuato per l'impiego in iraq penso non andranno visto che per i teatri asimmetrici attiali gli mbt non sono efficaci . Per questo ci siamo orientati sulla realizzazione di VBC ,VBM ed IFV molto più utili nell'attuale guerra .

L'Ariete ha avuto un upgrade per l'impiego in iraq ma oltre quello la difesa ritiene inutile andare visto che sia in afghanistan ,come in iraq ,libano e balcani facciamo un uso massiccio di VBLedIFV.Il centauro è un ottimo cacciacarri e tra poco entrerà in servizio il nuovo da120mm
il leclerc é il piú nuovo di tutti. lo si vede anche da come é fatto. ovvio che in 10 anni di migliorie visibili non ce ne sono. visto che sei un super esperto, tu sai bene che qualsiasi sistema d'arma nuovo che entra in linea, é affetto da difetti e da errori di progettazione. questo a causa dell'ormai (sempre più) estrema complessità. vedrai che tra qualche anno il leclerc non avrá piú problemi.

And it is battle tested, having survived 14 rpg hits and a milan missile hit in one engagment, with only superficial damage to the tank, that was repaired in 24 hours.
Most tanks are on an equal footing however the ariete is a peice of junk.

Gli unici che vengono aggiornati spesso ,per ovvi interessi economici visto che si contendono il mercato mondiale ,sono Leo2 e Abrams . Gli altri sono messi tutti più o meno allo stesso livello ,anzi come ti ripeto alcuni paesi non hanno mai utilizzato i propri MBT all'estero quindi figuriamoci .
il fatto é che la conformazione territoriale dell'italia non consente operazioni di carri armati su larga scala (a parte la pianura padana), per questo é sempre mancata un po' la "cultura" del mbt. é giusto che le forze armate abbiano un carro armato, ma forse sarebbe stato piú economico comperarlo all'estero (e in minor numero), viste anche le difficoltá che il progetto ha avuto all'inizio (non c'era anche una storia di spionaggio?).
Le difficoltà sono state di tipo politico/economiche non di certo tecniche . Non vedo perchè se abbiamo un alto livello di Know-how da vendere tecnologia in tutto il mondo dovremmo comprare all'estero ,dato che tutti hanno raggionato come noi piuttosto che fare un carro europeo .Rifletti ,abbiamo un carro diverso per ogni nazione europea ,tutti interessi economici ,tutti vogliono mangiare .
un carro europeo? non ha mai funzionato (vedi mbt 70).
pochi programmi militari multinazionali hanno funzionato, piuttosto falliscono oppure diventano s costosissimi e accumulano enormi ritardi vedi EFA, Tiger (per fortuna l'italia ha il mangusta), NH90 o A400M. dio ce ne scampi da progetti multinazionali.
E pure sono convinto che se l'MBT non è morto (come alcuni agli alti livelli pensa ed i teatri della guerra moderna ci dimostra ) la prossima generazione sarà comune per tutti .

The Leclerc's autoloader is a crap ,offline for the 70% of the time .

é vero, ma quello che volevo dire é che alla fine degli anni 90 gli altri carri avevano giá avuto numerosi update, per non parlare di oggi. praticamente dei carri di allora é rimasta la base, corazza, cannone, sistemi di tiro e i vari sistemi optronici sono stati cambiati. invece l'ariete praticamente é ancora nello standard di 20 anni fa, cioé é un leopard 1, un po' meglio corazzato e dotato di un po' di piú di mobilitá.
il tutto per mancanza di fondi.

Non è proprio cosi ,anche l'ariete ha gli stessi sistemi a livello del challenger2 ad ed leo2 anche le corazze sono state aggiornate con un kit aggiuntivo utilizzato per la prima volta in Iraq .
E' anche tempo di sfatare il mito del motore non adeguato visto che il challenger 2 con la stessa massa dell'ariete impiega un motore della stessa potenza e cilindrata .
Diciamo pure che sull'Ariete si sparla un pochino troppo .

diciamo che sul leo 2 attualmente in linea, il cannone é di lunghezza superiore e puó usare munizioni migliorate (cariche potenziate) quindi ha una potenza di fuoco superiore, inoltre la torretta é totalmente elettrica, con IR indipendete per il capocarro, telecamera posteriore per il pilota, etc.
l'ariete non ha nessuna di queste cose. il leo2, il leclerc e l'ambrams sparano con precisione fino a 40km/h, l'ariete fino a 20km/h... l'ariete é sotto gli standard attuali.

L'ariete ha una gittata utile che va dai 21 ai 40 km ,telemetro laser e visori termici separati sono lo standard per tutti i carri occidentali .

il merkava non lo vendono a nessuno, il leclerc lo hanno comprato l'arabia saudita e gli emirati arabi uniti, e stanno contrattando altri.

l'ariete é un carro da battaglia, non un pezzo d'artiglieria come il PZH2000. non parlare di gittata utile per favore. per i carri armati esiste una distanza da combattimento. se vai a leggere il leopard 2A6 ha il cannone L55, non piú L44, e ció gli consente un velocitá del proiettile di 1750m/s con una distanza di combattimento fino a 5000m...

Adesso ti vai a buttare sui particolari , io ti sto dicendo che l'ariete non è il ferro vecchio che credete dalle tue parti ,e mi stupisce che siate ancora aggiornati al progetto base . Oltre il refit effettuato per l'impiego in iraq penso non andranno visto che per i teatri asimmetrici attiali gli mbt non sono efficaci . Per questo ci siamo orientati sulla realizzazione di VBC ,VBM ed IFV molto più utili nell'attuale guerra .

io non sto dicendo che l'ariete é un carro armato di merda. il fatto é che il leo 2A6, il leclerc e l'abrams sono migliori. sul challenger2 non sono sicuro. l'ariete rimane sotto lo standard attuale, perché anche gli altri migliorano continuamente i loro carri. praticamente é indietro di 10 anni.
ho visto il centauro, e mi é piaciuto un sacco, anche se devo ancora capire come fanno a considerarlo un cacciacarri con un 105mm...

Il chellenger2 non lo aggiornano da secoli ,il leclerc lo hanno lasciato cosi come lo hanno comprato visto che non ha mai visto un teatro operativo estero (i generali dicono che è troppo delicato) .
L'Ariete ha avuto un upgrade per l'impiego in iraq ma oltre quello la difesa ritiene inutile andare visto che sia in afghanistan ,come in iraq ,libano e balcani facciamo un uso massiccio di VBLedIFV.Il centauro è un ottimo cacciacarri e tra poco entrerà in servizio il nuovo da120mm

il leclerc é il piú nuovo di tutti. lo si vede anche da come é fatto. ovvio che in 10 anni di migliorie visibili non ce ne sono. visto che sei un super esperto, tu sai bene che qualsiasi sistema d'arma nuovo che entra in linea, é affetto da difetti e da errori di progettazione. questo a causa dell'ormai (sempre più) estrema complessità. vedrai che tra qualche anno il leclerc non avrá piú problemi.

They have the same weight ,same armor system and almost similar engines (1200hp for the Challenger ,1247hp for the Ariete) .But the Ariete is equiped with a Rheinmetall cannon (Leo2) .

@ROMACAPVTMVNDl The fact is that the Challenger 2 is a far better tank than the Ariete. With superior armour, far more accurate gun which has the longest range tank kil in the world.
And it is battle tested, having survived 14 rpg hits and a milan missile hit in one engagment, with only superficial damage to the tank, that was repaired in 24 hours.
Most tanks are on an equal footing however the ariete is a peice of junk.

If you look at a skin and eye colour chart of the world you will see there is a cleaer seperation between northern/central europeans and southern Europeans.

Infact when Australia had a only-whites immigraiton policy into their country, Italisn, Greeks and spanish were excluded. And even still they are called wogs along with indians and middle easterns. il fatto é che la conformazione territoriale dell'italia non consente operazioni di carri armati su larga scala (a parte la pianura padana), per questo é sempre mancata un po' la "cultura" del mbt. é giusto che le forze armate abbiano un carro armato, ma forse sarebbe stato piú economico comperarlo all'estero (e in minor numero), viste anche le difficoltá che il progetto ha avuto all'inizio (non c'era anche una storia di spionaggio?).
