If this is a smear then both sides are doing it all the time but you hear only one side from these people. Are conservatives really THIS stupid? I mean, I always knew they were stupid, but this is pretty unprecedented.
Obama was laughing because of the incongruity that more people favored bailing out the banking industry over the auto industry. The humor lies in the irony of the fact that the banking industry put us into this mess in the first place.
If this is all conservatives have to latch on to, then they really are more pathetic than I could have ever imagined.

"News" in the States are political Trojan Horses for softening up the American population (strong emotions such as fear are favoured) and then concluding with normative statements that are in line with the interest groups who own the respective "news" network.
