@charlesruiz2000 Calm yourself quasimoto. That isn't a source or a fact. You can't tell someone they're wrong because you've been playing bass/guitar for however many years. When you play string instruments, there will be some scales and different strategies you should know, but overall, you don't need to really know or memorize any of those methods. I know shit about music theory and scales with the exception of the very basic pentatonic scale and I've been playing guitar by ear for 7 years.

should check out some tech rhythm. I'm going to suspect that you probably don't appreciate death metal, however there are plenty of really technical talent in brutal death metal rhythms. Basically what I'm saying is that it's too hard to judge talent in such a simple form as a solo. There are also extremely simple solos that many would argue are full of talent solely based on the fact that they are full of emotion and plenty of "feel". I ramble, so I don't know if that made sense. I hope it did.
