Your driving needs a bit of work. You had quite a bit of trouble staying on the road. Too much Grip Tires & too many collisions. At 3:09 the Deflector somehow opened while still underwater.

But still a nice finish. Duggery is hard to beat.

I must admit, this game is fun. It took me a while to get used to the concept of it all, but I've come close to actually winning 7 times. I just can't beat Racer X. I tried using a homing robot on him and it didn't even slow him down, and the game never lets you stay past him. He always finds some way to get ahead.

If you do a YouTube search for "The Weekly Reporter" (slightly misspelled, though), you'll find a WWII Warner Bros. cartoon, "The Weakly Reporter", from 1943.

Near the end of that cartoon, there's a factory worker whose machine breaks down. He looks just like Pops Racer, and that cartoon came out 23 years before Speed Racer!
