Oh that's obvious. What surprised me was that where was such a large established community, it is particularly odd (to me) since its Chinatown and China is next door. Also the Japanese have a reputation of not been too accepting of non-Japanese. China and Japan have a bit of a rough history between them so that added to my surprise of finding a Chinatown in Japan.
I ate in a Korean restaurant, in Chinatown, in Japan. lol

I don't know why that should be surprising, but it seems to catch people off guard. America is not the only country that gets immigrants.
