  • fixing pakiss

  • Pakis just stfu ! And watch the video. No one here wants to know how Waqar and Wasim bowled.

  • @SLICKR392 you learn it from us and now tell us to shut up, When we use to do it its ball tempering you made us tell the whole world what it is and how is it we do it, now you know it so its and art called reverse swing!! Shame on you!

  • @Hajumula

    England made cricket.

Now go to that corner and shut up.

  • @SLICKR392 True, but you still suck at it !! must be very hard on you guys!

  • @Hajumula

Last time I remember weren't the English side who whitewashed you on your pitch!

  • @SLICKR392 ha ha .. you really want go in the record Pak vs Eng have a feeling this might not be your strong suit! but england played well in the One dayers .. credit must be given where due

  • @Hajumula

I don't care if England plays well or Pak plays well.

All I had to say was..credit someone on their bowling rather than where you see someone bowling a reverse swing..you compare them to the 2 W's and criticize em.

  • @SLICKR392 England didn't make cricket. When they ruled India, they learnt it of the Indians and just copied it.

  • @jammydounut26

Am an Indian mate. I wouldn't deny to that :P

  • @SLICKR392 Im a Paki. First time theres no swearing or anything :)

  • Pakistanis invented Reverse Sweep, Reverse Swing, Doosra have given so much to cricket!

  • Comment removed

  • @Hajumula

Reverse Sweep and Doosra...wasn't by Pakistanis you noob. WG Grace used to reverse sweep.

  • @SLICKR392 I never saw Mr. Grace may be you are right or may be not I dont know! BUT DOOSRA you are definitely wrong I guess in next 10 years you guys will start saying Reverse swing was also your invention. Rest of the world aint that creative, just have to stomach for that, there are only a few things that we do right so please dont ruin it for us

  • hats off for KING OF SWING WASIM AKRAM...

  • Flintoff Bowl - Bold em!

Jones Bowl - that is very good~!

    THE SWING WORKs!

  • @rennappu go fuck ur mother asshole

  • Lasith Malinga is the master of reverse swing.

Check out his toe crushing yorkers if ya want.

  • Lasith Malinga is the master of reverse swing.

  • That is reverse swing? The two Ws (waqar & wasim) will laugh at it.

  • @TheHybridlogic how did this comment get soo many likes?? oh thats right indian and paki's have internet too :/

  • English and Australians think reverse swing is an art now. Not long ago they convicted Sarfaraz Nawaz, Wasin, Imran and Waqar to ball tampering when they ransacked their batsmen with pure talent in swing bowling.

    Double standards yeah...

  • It was pakistani player who invented reverse swing- the pioneers.

These reverse swings were good but yeah- waqar and wasim duo bowled these deliveries every now and then.

I am an INDIAN but i stay fair when it comes to cricket- REVERSE SWINGS IN THIS VIDEO EPIC!

But yeah-it were PAKISTAN who invented REVERSE SWING AND DOOSRA- thanks a lot pakistan!

  • simon jones's swing is a screamer.. gotta love it

  • RIGHT.ON.THE.MONEY.

  • When, Waqar n Wasim, used Reverse Swing, English Said its a Cheat, but when England's players used, its an ART, double standard.......

  • @mtahir21 It´s racism. That´s why Pakistan is banned from playing the Ashes series without any good reason for their exclusion

  • So the bottom lines is when english does it, its Art

  • Seen this video many times but it still gives me shivers

  • first ball, a 'reverse swing' off the pitch

    holy mackerel

the person who has compiled this video is really DUMB!

  • @dadvoc666 and so is the commentator... just realized it!

  • Welcome back Simon!

  • Straight out of the Australian textbook of how to leave deliveries

  • fuck cricket

  • @Xxjuanitoperez305xX why did u look up this video then ?

  • @Xxjuanitoperez305xX , I think cricket is his mom's alias

  • Textbook

  • 10 Australians dislikes this

  • maan wasim and waqar used to bowl those day in and day out...they were the true kings of swing

  • @majesticmaniac ...because it's impossible to appreciate all of them?

  • awesome swing

  • Ha ha Those re not deleveries.....those re death sentences

  • So what happened to this Simon Jones?

  • @XPil3s serious knee injury finished his career not long after this match.

  • @auckland37 he's hoping to be fit for the new season at hampshire actually

  • @racewalkingrules That is really good to hear. I hope he makes it at least enough to do a good job for Hampshire. But as for Test cricket -I think those days are gone. Wrong side of 30 and too many years of injury but I would be happy to be proved wrong. That was the ball of the series.

  • @auckland37 he signed up at the beginning of last season but he has been dogged by injuries most of the year. sad that so much of his career has been like that, but fingers crossed he'll be on top form for the royals next season!

  • @XPil3s Not to mention destroyed the balance of the English attack. Unfortunately, Jones' injury coincided with the collapse of Jimmy Anderson's form, brought about largely by attempts to restructure his technique, attempts that were designed to avoid back-injury. Just two of the reasons for why we were brutalised in Oz in '06-07, along with Vaughan's injury, Trescothick's breakdown and Freddie's lack of discipline.

  • Great series, unfortunately tainted by Murray Mints and Rudi Koertzen.

But great series, even though Australia lost, just. England had to win one eventually!

  • The Simon Jones delivery was reverse swing perfection. Doesn't get any better than that.

  • what a sound, beautiful peace of bowling by england

  • The summer of 2005. GOOD TIMES.

  • BALL TEMPORING

  • k, i'm just off to doctor the wicket and use cough lollies.... where's the honor in that.

  • Why are the Aussie batsmen leaving the ball?

  • @pinsnpies Because they were expecting away swing and got nailed by a reverse swinging ball.

  • @pinsnpies

because the balls prior to them were moving away from the batsman so they thought it was another one like that, but then the reverse swing comes back in very late and bowls them. Tremendous stuff.

  • best test series

  • Reverse swing is an art but i remember when all the English and Australian cricketers blaming pakistani players for ball tempering.....Nowadays every fast or medium pace bowler try to swung the ball both ways....It's an Art HOW LAME THAT IS

  • It has since been found out these bastards ball tampered, not saying they weren't the better team, they clearly were, but no wonder the ball swung like this.

  • @lordtaverner ..........bitter aussie muppet!

Ricky...two series in England against the mother country....two defeats!!

    Enjoy!

  • @lordtaverner mate spit from lollies the players where chewing on dosent make the ball swing like that typical aussie if they lose at some thing they have to make a excuse on why the lost they cant accept the fat they lost p.s amazing bowling!!!!

  • @Stephend83 Actually it does which is why there banned, it gets into their saliva, and allows them to make the ball shinier and smoother which = more swing. And lets be honest, the only reason England won this series is because they were able to swing the ball so its clearly a legitimate claim that Australia was cheated. Im surprised there hasnt been much fuss about it tbh, imagine if it was Australia, the Poms would probly still be whining about 'cheating australia'

  • Man its look to me as if England took training from Pakistanis in that Ashes ;-) Just two "W s"of Pakistan were better in reverse swing then that..!!

  • orgasmic noise when the ball hits that stump

  • thats just superb bowling, its a shame we wont see simon jones bowling at test level again because he was a real handful.

  • In the summer of 1992,the two Ws,Wasim and Waqar totally bamboozled England batsmen, doing the major damage on the english batting by bowling the same reverse swingers you see here............Yet they were labelled as 'cheats' by the British tabloid and acused of 'ball tampering'........How hypocritical.

  • @Mus24 Exactly. The same reason why Pakistan can´t play the Ashes. Rascist and they know we are better.

  • @Mus24 No they were labeled cheats when everyone saw the videos of them digging their nails into the ball as they were walking back to ball, Richie Beneud is commentating at the time and when he sees what they are doing he says 'Crickey steady on'. Infact the video is on youtube somewhere look it up.

  • @REVRAC74 Its simple: whats good for the poms is cheating for the Pakis.Reverse swing for Wasim and Waqar was a cheating act but was perfectly fair for Flintoff to do so.

Btw what do you say about Michael Atherton pulling out dirt from his pockets and rubbing it on the ball to get it to look rougher...ofcourse Mike is a 'respectable' English commentator for Sky Sports and the tabloid has all but forgotten that.

  • I said it before and I´ll say it again. It´s obviously racism that Pakistan can´t play the ashes. If it wasn´t racism, then we would see teams relegated from the ashes to give other countries a chance. But England and Australia always discriminate against the Asian teams. Especially Pakistan. Aussies are rude and English are cheaters as shown by ball tampering in this video. Good night

  • @porkerdude It doesn even deserve this reply

  • @porkerdude Youve got to be kidding right? The ashes is a test series played between australia and england, its just like any other series between nations but we take it more seriously because it is a historic series. Thats like saying its racist that australia isnt allowed in the asia cup, its just stupid. And how can a pakistani call anyone cheats, when they have afridi, wasim and waqar allegedly, and are match fixers?

  • @norths8 Australia now qualifies for football world cup through Asian qualification. I am sure if Aussies wanted to play in Asia cup cricket they could. Pakistan can´t play in Ashes. It´s racist. End of story. England and Australia will go down. Pakistan andSri Lanka are Kings.

  • where did simon jones go? :(

  • @chandlereen

I think he got injured again so couldn't play. If I recall, he topped the county bowling figures leading up to the 2009 Ashes, but the selectors overlooked him. He's another example of an English seamer who suffered injury after injury, Shame, as he is one brute of a bowler.

  • @lukequixotesanjose Simon Jones only played 14 first class games after 2005 Ashes up 2008. Then he took 42 first-class wickets at 18 apiece in 2008,then got injured again, didn't bowl a ball in 2009 because of injury. But this last season he has played a few games for Hampshire, but has been used sparingly, but seems to have got through the season without too many problems. Still bowls well when fit and hopefully next year will be a full season.

  • @REVRAC74

    Thanks, that rings some bells.

  • Great quality. Both the video and the bowling...

  • if the same kind of ball is bowled by any asian then it ll b called ball tempering

  • @pathanrg8 goddamn racists , i am a paki, we INVENTED the reverse swing

  • @pathanrg8 Thats bullshit, everytime anyone reverses it ball tampering accusations are made, they were made after this series, they were made when wasim and waqar bowled and when steyn destroyed india recently, infact pakistanis are usually the ones doing it because they seem to think since they apparently invented it that noone else can do it except them

  • @pathanrg8 Waquar and Aquib Javed were both caught clearly on camera using their fingernails on the ball in England. Neither got punished, it was swept under the carpet.

Waquar was actually caught and fined the year before in Sri Lanka. In England they didn't want to deal with the fallout and ignored it.

  • @pathanrg8 Lol that's over the top don't you think.

  • @pathanrg8 actually, the England team in this series did tamper with the ball, they used saliva with chewing gum to rub on the ball which makes it reverse more. It came out a few years ago in Marcus Trescothik's auto-biography.

  • @pathanrg8 ur absolutely right bro, haha they think that they lost 92 cup only due to double W's deadly reverse swing..and thats why they considered reverse swing to be illegal...but whats flintoff doing here???huh

  • @pathanrg8 so true^^

  • @pathanrg8 That's probably because they are ball tampering!

  • @pathanrg8 pakistan are the best at cheating.

  • @pathanrg8 exactly u r right

  • @pathanrg8 : yes buddy you are right, when an asian do it, is ball tempering and when an english man do it , then it is " that is very good"....

  • got to love how the english called reverse swing an art after 05. but when the 2 Ws used to do it, it was ball tampering. filthy little hypocrites

  • yes but the pakis did ball tamper you douchnozzle.

  • @MrCricket90 its a well known fact you stupid pom that all these little experiments to tweak the ball to generate reverse swing originated in english county cricket. but you stink of hypocrisy every time you act like a purist when pakistani bowlers had the measure of your batsmen using your own medicine.

  • When Pakistani 2 W's (Wasim and Waqar) used to do reverse swing, English media used to say that ball tempering. Now, when English/Australian bowlers have learned reverse swing, it is an ART.

  • Can someone tell me the difference between reverse swing and inside swing? Because it seems that inside swing is similar to reverse swing in that the ball bounces and swings into the batsman's range?

  • @pistolpete58

his action, shiny side of the ball etc is done in a way that would normally give you outswing but with an old ball(?) it starts to do the opposite. also at the very beginning of the delivery (in real time) the ball sort of seems to wants to swing outwards but then changes mid way through...i think lol.

  • Simon Jones would had been a legend if he hadn't had got all them injuries.

  • where did reverse swing go in australia . let me tell you what was the difference there . the only thing which made the difference was that channel 9 was covering the series not the sky sport .

  • real talk reverse swing is a faggit if u dont read the ball it will fuck you....what i always find funny tho is how ppl always think back to ashes 05 and fail to mention ashes 07 wat so ever...

  • how do you know ? what because it isn't documented on youtube ... thats something australians can look back in fondness. and the video is something us english look back in fondness. not everyone shares the same memories.

  • beautiful.

  • @were455

    exactly beautiful

  • the 2nd ball wasnt a reverse swing....it came in after the seam touched the pitch

  • @123shaheer123 If you look carefully at real time shot you will see it did swing in the air when batsman was expecting it not to as was watching which side of ball was where shiny/rough side in bowlers hand.Based on that he did not offer a shot as thought it was missing his stumps by a good 8 inches. I agree it moved more towards leg side off seam when it hit ground but first movement was in the air.

  • Shut up Andrew Flintoff you tool

  • hmmmm now the english call it reverse swing.

when waqar younis and his fellow pakistani bowelers figured out how to reverse swing before anyone in the world it was called ' ball tampering' - interesting indeed... but going through propagandas of hate is usual for pakistanis.

  • *cough* ball tampering *cough* and guess who was doing it this time around Ian botham's lil butt buddy freddy flintoff. Amazing how no one actually raised any suspicions this time around huh?

  • Amazing how accusations of ball tampering hardly appeared after the 2005 ashes. I guess you need to be non-white and preferably from Pakistan to get put under scrutiny.

  • @sonofthedestroyer no acusations of ball tampering occured because there is zero evidence to say it went on. There is a wealth of evidence, including admissions of guilt, to say the Pakistanies were involved in ball tampering. Those who did it for Pakistan were also found guilty of ball tampering in county cricket, even when they played against each other.

  • @moggoon,

Dont play mind games. Everyone knew it was going on. Fans were boasting about the Murray mints. Its just a case of people operating the cameras, turning them away to protect the players on the field. Biased media coverage. On the rare occasion that a white cheat like Stuart Broad or Anderson get caught, the semantics begin and they are let off. Ofcourse it helps to have Daddy in the authorities also

  • Is anyone in england follow cricket seriously other than the ashes

  • Did Simon Jones get injured or did he retire? Never heard of him after the ashes : /

  • You can't bat agains that, comes back in a foot.

  • Simon Jones's delivery makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck, no matter how many times I see it.

  • who is commenting along with mark nicholas?

  • @Naveen29naveen flintoff's delivery it's michael slater & simon jones' delivery is richie benaud

  • Comment removed

  • when's the next series?

  • this year .. 2010-2011 ashes down under :)

  • @Blisworthboi ok thanks!

  • ya sure you fucking ass holes ..when you morons do it ,you call it reverse swing

when we do it ,it's called ball tampering you all are fucking hypocrites

  • i doubt we'll lose 5-0 this time round, im not sure the aussies have the bowling theyve had over the last 2 decades.

if swanns fit and on form i think he will be the key player, as long as england bat to at least a decent standard, cant wait for the series

  • well done katich you pigeon-toed weakling

  • best series of cricket ever

  • @andyhub09 i think the india-australia series in 2001 was better though. but this was definitely one of the best.

  • @andyhub09 na the best is 06/07 5-0

  • Whatever happened to Simon Jones?

  • What a little ripper! Seriously cant wait to watch this yrs ashes series- Lets hope we'll give you boys more of a challenge at home eh!

  • it wasnt godd enough to win the ashes. im pretty sure they lost 5-0!

  • @conidi1 Not in England they didn't. The grounds in Aus do not lend themselves to reverse swing but they do in England.

  • i never said they could do it in aus but im just saying that england lost 5 - 0

  • yay go freddie!!!!

  • Ricky Ponting the best batsman in the world at the time has never faced a better ball. He's thinking 6-8inches outside off stump no problem let it go through no problem don't risk the snick to slips then its good night Vienna. Reverse swing has won us the Ashes both times.

  • Great bowling. But you should see Brett Lee and Glenn Mcgrath knock over the stumps with sheer pace, and no swing. Just proves that the Aussie bowlers really can't use the Duke balls that well.

  • It's true. The aussies like playing with the English balls much more than we like playing with theirs.

  • Wow, that sounds sexual. But yeah, the kookaburras are much harder to swing, especially on our pitches.

  • @dirtyfilthytart that was the most messed up double entendre i ever heard

  • Brett Lee is fast, I grant you - but Glenn McGrath "sheer pace"? You must be kidding. McGrath is a great bowler, but pace is not part of his arsenal, as McGrath himself allows: "I bore the batsmen out."

BTW, I'm an Englishan and McGrath comes across as anice bloke; competitive to be sure, but a nice chap.

The loss of his wife must have been devastating.

  • No that is true, I was more talking about guys like Brett Lee and Shaun Tait when mentioning 'sheer pace'. Yeah McGrath is a national hero over here, and Day 3 of the Sydney Test match is now annually 'Jane McGrath day', and everyone wears pink. You guys will love it when you come over this year.

  • Glenn Mcgrath sheer pace!? Maybe in his early days, but in that series he was bowling 80-82.......not exactly express in todays test arena

  • Simon Jones' ball. The best by a fast bowler in post Wasim/Waqar.

  • @ColourDeficient i think mohammad asif is the best fast bowler right now....simon is good but not better than him

fkin pakis keep gettin better and better fast bowlers everyday

  • 1) He was talking about the 2001 Ashes series.

    2) It's spelt laquer.

    3) Sorry? Who won the 2009 Ashes?

  • Really sad that Simon Jones knees finally gave up the ghost during this series and he never played Test cricket again. A great bowler. You can bowl this kind of ball when you have real talent and you have bowled it tens of thousands of times in the nets.

  • I love the sound of the ball hitting the timber of the stumps and sending it flying.

Lol at Tony Greig at the end "Well if your a batsmen that sort of thing is enough to drive you round the bend"

  • Essex boy Kaneria will rip the Aussies apart!

  • Didn't Happen.

  • were is simon jones???havent seen him after that series!!!!!

  • Man the Pakistanis are going to have a field day in Australia

  • @randikajamai pakistanis got aussies out 4 130.lol!!wat prediction!!

  • yeah i know man... Asif was making the Ball talk or rather sledge . Now if only the top 5 Pakistanis can make runs, we will finally have a match on.

  • @randikajamai

    What was that bout pakistan???

    CHOKE!!!

GO AUSSIES BRING ON THE POMS!!

  • where are they now?? i mean they put aussies in a lot of trouble. At that time England seemed to have the best attack after several years.

flintoff, jones and harmison bowled really well.

  • @mubashir20 After the Ashes Flintoff was pressued into playing too much and it took it's toll on his body, Jones has been plagued by injury and while still good he's not as great as he was... as for Harmison, the selectors picked up on the fact that he sometimes has a real pig of a tour and only pick him now as a last measure, constant picking and dropping has ruined him further.

  • Simon Jones bowled the best bal of the series. What a beautiful delivery!

  • Crazy curry90 the reason our seamers didnt produce swing in the previous series is because of the weather- it plays a huge part in the art of swing bowling. There needs to be moisture in the air and sunshine for the ball to swing, Also England now only have two bowlers that can bowl swing Anderson and Flintoff. Ball tampering is rubbish, Trescothick wrote that in his book to get sales. How often do you see Ponting chewing gum and shining the ball? Eng deserved to win as did the aussies in 06

  • what i wanna know is why and how they havent repeated those deliveries during the 4 years after that ashes...

but ball tampering or not - those leaves from clarke and katich were horrible - even without the swing the ball was clearly angling in anyway - england did play better cricket during that series

  • @crazycurry90 : thats like asking why the Indian bowlers couldn't repeat the reverse swing they got at the 2nd test in Mohali vs Aus 2008 in the remainder of the series.

reverse swing is an art and depends a lot of external factors.

  • munkeymobile ur a fkn cunt laow the racism u faggot. pum pum

  • lol munkeymobile

  • THAT IS VERY GOOD!

  • this is obvious evidence of ball tampering... good to see the poms learned something from the pakis...

  • When Wasim & Waqar did it for the first time in the early 90s in England they were branded as cheats. Now the white pussies have finally learned to do it no one is complaining.

    Hiprocracy at its best.

  • yes, yes, we all know that. its over now, no one is calling them cheats, you should learn to relax now.
