  • Super track fantastic group Upright bass is cool and not for twats.

What ever happened to these guys, & yeah more fun than the Livin End, and that is not meant to say that Livin End aren't good or anything, because they are good.

Now to look up some Tall Tales & True.

  • I'll have to dig their 4-track EP casssette from the back of the cupboard!

  • Never got to see them live coz I was too young and live in Tassie. Seeing this reminds me how much I loved and pissed off that I missed out.

  • Skivvies are back!

  • What an awesome band. They always put on a cracker of a show whenever I saw them play live and their recordings were well produced and a lot of fun. As for the upright bass debate - try telling the Reverend Horton Heat, Stray Cats, The Living End, Seatsniffers, or any rockabilly band worth their salt that double basses can't rock.

  • Skivvies are back

  • Remember seeing them at a hotel in Blaxland mid 90's . They were fucking awesome live. Talented trio , great tunes.

  • great band. thanks for the upload. fucken grouse song guys.

  • No matter how hard people try, upright basses are not, will not,or ever have been cool.Like the bloke in The Living End,this bassist just looks like a total softcock trying to hump his instrument. They sound shit as well, the sound can't cut through the mix,Just get an electric bass already.

  • @laiosto

Would you like to give me your address so I can shove a Double Bass up your Behind?

It's not my fault you can't play a fretless Bass!!!

  • @dbt1979 I live at 26 AllUprightsAreForFags Street. You should know it well. You obviously have an upright up your arse already,It has displaced some of the shit you are full of.Nothing beats the look or sound of an electric bass.So feel free to stick to uprights with the rest of the geeks and fuckwits.

  • @laiosto

My 1st Guitar ever was a Electric Bass.

You still didn't tell me if you are capable of playing a fretless bass???

I looked up that address on Google Earth and it said it was in Uranus!!!

  • @dbt1979 I am capable of playing an upright.Do I want to be seen playing one? Hell no! Unless one is playing classical music ,uprights have no place in rock.Unless that is you like looking like a total twat, holding a huge ,ugly ,ungainly monstrosity, and you enjoy not being heard.

  • @laiosto

Shoosh. That double bass is awesome and it makes the band inventive.

  • @laiosto Yup, The Living End won't make it.

  • SO GOOD :P

  • Fuck I remember listening to this in my sister's bedroom as she was the only one to have a cd player. I fucking love it. Train of thought was my fav.

  • The Sharp are having a reunion show at the Sandbelt Hotel 30th July 2010!!!

  • Wow memories. I was (& my girlfriend) were like their biggest groupies. We went to every gig they did. First saw them on the stairs at Flinders St Station. As I said memories

  • It still rocks!

  • I have both their CD's. Yay!!! The sharp are the bomb says this 47yo rager from way back!!!
