What an awesome band. They always put on a cracker of a show whenever I saw them play live and their recordings were well produced and a lot of fun. As for the upright bass debate - try telling the Reverend Horton Heat, Stray Cats, The Living End, Seatsniffers, or any rockabilly band worth their salt that double basses can't rock.

No matter how hard people try,upright basses are not,will not,or ever have been cool.Like the bloke in The Living End,this bassist just looks like a total softcock trying to hump his instrument.They sound shit as well,the sound can't cut through the mix,Just get an electric bass already.
