Remember Harry potter map that was epic from a person who played SC since he was 6 i feel the better version of SC is SC1 not 2, SC2 makes it to complicated it went from simple family fun that got competitive to pure competition not meant for a family. Blizzard has gone down hill ever since they became more interested in money then having a fun game. I will probably more of your games bec i grew up playing WC 1 then WC2 family lan parties but they definitely have gone down hill

It wasnt about being a competitive sport until recently once that happened they took away spawn and lan play which is meant for groups of people and families are a subset of groups of people. Playing lets catch bugs or some gay shit like that shouldnt be a family game. Games the make one think compete against one another and is stimulating is a family game. Gore is an added bonus. Blizzard has turned into a money grubbing company as seen by all their new games

I still like SC though, and my BEST replay was Protoss, 2 vs 6, on BattleNet, it was an actual game, I just mass built Dark Archons and Reavers then later Carrier assault, at the start they Zergling rushed me, but we won. I still feel the "electricity in the air" when thinking about those days. I hope I can get SC legitimately again XD

I'm a Korean. I used to be a Protoss user, now I'm a Terran user, I don't play SC much now though, my computer broke a few months ago, I've downloaded a crack, but it's only patch 1.01... I started playing it back in 2004, back then, all I did was do 7 vs 1, me on the side of 7, then owning the shit out of the lone team, like it was all... In the following years I started to play more SC, then I changed to Terran. My first gameplay was in Terran however, and my first replay was Terran too.

I'm actually waaaay more worried about Blizzard overbalancing things in SC2. Most of the reason why the game had a lot of imbalances a year ago was because we had shitty maps. Would the imbalanced starts still be "imba" with the level of play and maps we have today? We'll never know.

for the melle i like sc1 over sc2. sc2 has a better f list and chat setup you can even host partys but the fun or not system annoys me as if your maps not voted popular you cant play it with people unless you got good friends. i like how units move out of the way and how you can select alot more units and buildings. i dislike the Cb Mule and queen as it only adds more micro management also my faverite unit the hydra was lowerd to a measily air defence unit >.> so un happy >.>

SC2 will probably last longer. If you look at it, SC was released near the start of 3D games while SC2 got the possibility to use both 3D and 3D Vision graphics so it will not be seen as an old game in the near future

@neozxa I never played the original but wasn't the original starcraft only 30 missions long? With 10 terran 10 protoss and 10 zerg missions? The way I see it is that now we get 30 missions for each race instead of just 10.

@Schlamp96 But the problem is that 90% of those missions are "filler" mission, from what I'd see. The only missions that actually have a connection with the main storyline is the "Artifact" missions.

Basically, the singleplayer is quite dissapointing IMO. But the multiplayer is just amazing.

Great times.Starcraft was so random.Instead people went and play age of empire 1 more than starcraft including myself.Then starcraft came on top and continue their great marketing.Age of empire 2 came up to compete against SC, but even so was no match.Also AOE2 was a great game but didn't meet my expectation especially because how insanely building health was.Maybe sci fi beat the old historic army.Also BW became greedy by eliminating the three person using the same cd key.I hated that change.
