cool vid i absolutely hated possums but after watching this vid i dont anymore and glad i watched it..the only bad thing is if they invade your home you have to get rid of them because the mountain of shit they leave behind has a strong foul odor and can grow infectious bacteria that will spread in your house. I dont know if you forgot to add this part in your vid.
Only 2 years?? That's surprising. We have some huge ones in my area, and I guess I thought it took longer for them to reach that size. One of them has a head as big as a terrier!
Very educational and informative. Before I saw this i knew slim to none about Opossums and thought they were useless pests that run around at night on the street. I have one that shows up and runs around in my backyard every so often and I hated it, now im glad there's one around to eat all the roaches and all the other unwanted bugs back there haha Opossums rule!
What an awesome video...so helpful to learn about them. If we know and understand then we do not fear. How about raccoons? Another wonderful backyard creature we should know about. They are so important to our balance as well. Wish some wildlife agency would do a video on them as well. Keep up the good work and we support you 100%!
Your channel is very educational, great !. Opossums are very important creatures in the animal realm, they have gentle personalities, very interesting. Keep up the good work posting so helpful videos.
Thank you for this educational video. I love opossums as I do all animals. As a member of the Audubon Society I help all animals. My adopted animal is a Turkey Vulture and like the opossum the turkey Vulture eats carrion and is wrongly hated and misunderstood. It is nice to see good people like you who rescue animals. Too many people hurt natures creatures so you are a breath of fresh air to see another rescuer like myself. Good work bro.
Thank you for this educational video. I love ALL animals and defend every animal's rights. I help both predator and prey animals. I own by adoption a pet Turkey Vulture which is also natures garbage removers. Vultures eat things that would make most other animals sick. So here I can understand the need to defend the opossum. When an animal eats carrion people usually do not like that animal even though they serve a vital function in the eco-system.
awesome animals that are extremely misunderstood, and the worst part is people give them this terrible image of carrying rabies, some idiots even confuse them with rodents! i still cant believe they only live 2 years?
Thankyou for this video! An opossum has come to live in my yard and it's a joy to watch the critter foraging at night. Videos like this help people to see these sweet critters in a much more positive light.
i will post a video of just one opossum out of the many i usually get as a visitor every night soon... I usually leave out whatever i think they like to eat, and by morning its gone =) I have seen them at least 20 different times, and i live in the middle of a town... the nearest forest/park is 2 miles away, and they sometimes get hit by the 2 train tracks, while on their way, and sometimes we even see deer... unfortunately people don't care that they get runover by trains. I do! Thx 4 the vid
Your video was very awesome and thank you 4 telling people what I have said all along. Which is: Possums are cool. Why would you hate a possum, I mean give me a break; they're great you know people?
@happyjoe4ever and SOOOOO cute especially when they're babies... people think they're ugly because they only spot them at night when their faces are twisted in horror with headlights reflected in their eyeballs (or worse yet, roadkill)
What a great video! I needed that this morning. I am a rehabber here in Waco, Tx and I really love finding others who find them as special as I do. Your babies look grea! What formula are you using?
thank you for the video. I am rescuing a possum baby right now and my ignorant neighbor tought she was a rat and was killing her but I was able to stop that and educated my neighbor, she is in good hands now and even my neighboor comes to feed her and is really worry about her health now.
I've had a young injured possum for the last month or so and will soon be taking it to a rehabilitation center. I rescued him from a cat he is cured of his injuries but lost a tail in the process I'll miss little "Charlie" but I know he'll be better off with people that can give him the proper care he needs. Thanks for the informative video.
I love this video I am in tears-Having been lucky enough 2 raise & spend time with 1 of these animals & experience their luv & how gentle they R at heart it just eats me up inside 2 see people B cruel 2 them & some of the STUPID laws states have against wildlife-Kansas Law says you are not allowed 2 interfere with wildlife in any form even 2 help it unless U have a permit-& even them they require if it cant B returned 2 the wild it must B murdered-Regardless if it can B found a home or refuge
TY soooo much! The more education out there, the more theses wonderful creatures (of all kinds) have a better chance. I myself opened my mind to the little opossums not too long ago, and now I totally adore them. Kudos to you!!

Great video, am fostering 5 now, a man shot the mom because he thought she had
rabies.....You know their body temp is too low to harbor the rabies virus.

I think opossums are great. Sure they have those huge mouths, but they're still pretty darn adorable.
Very nice video. I didn't realize that their life expectancy was so short though.

Truly when you get to know about this animal you develope and great admiration for them.
Ceratinly I found this out when I was a child and my "love" for these VERY misunderstood creatures exists to this day.
