Regine did the orginal powerhouse version while Mariah did something different again to the song, she used more of her alto side the the soprano which neither Regine and Kyla is never comfortable with,... technically Regine did the best but this belongs ti MIMI cause it's her song, no one can put more passion and soul than her on songs she wrote,..

i'm a reginian, but i must say this song doesn't really fit regine's voice that much.

her barks and growls sound very weak and too raspy. like what i've said a while ago, this songs requires breathy vocals and solid low notes. well you can't blame her if her low notes were that low and solid since she's a soprano compared to other two who have lower voice timbers

but still, regine wins

at first before i heard kyla and mariah, i thought the worst version would come from regine 'coz this song requires so much texture(breathy vocals)in the vocals and i thought her voice won't fit this song. but when i listened to the other two, i could tell myself that regine is still superior.

regine and kyla took the hardest version. mariah impriovised and made it easier. she has beautiful low notes though. kyla hit the hard notes but it sounded misprojected, and there was too much throat constriction. regine's high notes are clear, strong, and vibrant with better projection. refreshing and sweet voice quality. her growls and grunge though were not effective.
