I was just an itty bitty 3 month old baby when this happened. Waa Waa Waa.... I never had a chance to see any of his greatness when it was happening. I'm go grateful for YouTube and all of you who keep posting these videos. You're my life line to Elvis.
I hear you argiaoriana. I was 13 when He died ...so I'm a bit older , but , same as you , I never got to see him live......altho I had 90-95% of his released-albums up until 1977. I come on here to see all his vid's too. I LOVE finding vid's of him in the late 60's & early 70's. I have never seen a human being as charismatic & good-looking as He was. It's like He's from another planet or something. I can't help but laugh when I hear Him laugh. I am so happy FOR Him , when He is happy Himself.
Yeah the pig nose jackson wanted to think he was the king of everything. As far as I know he was king on one thing and one thing only "a freak piece of trash. Thank the real King for ridding us of that garbage.
Yeah the pig nose jackson wanted to think he was the king of everything. As far as I know he was king on one thing and one thing only "a freak piece of trash. Thank the real King for ridding us of that garbage.
Elvis was and is STILL the original!!. Nobody, but Nobody will ever be as super Great as he was. He knew how to look, move, and literally be great on stage. He never lost his humble ways. That's why he was and still is so loved. He rocked on earth and he's rockin in heaven. Long live the KING!!!!.
Only Elvis could have pulled off that jumpsuit and not looked absolutley ridiculous.I mean he owned that look.I think his confidence had alot to do with pulling it off.He came out and said I look awesome in this and everyone went" Yea,you kind of do".He was the king not only because of his voice but because of that elusive"IT" factor that all of the great ones had.You cant quantify it,you either have "IT" or you dont and he had it to spare.
Michael Jackson doesn't even compare to Elvis who was a generous man and so much more. It looks like Michael J wanted to be as huge as Elvis by calling himself King of Pop when really he wasn't - Elvis' death is still a tradegy leaving a huge legacy, Michael J's legacy is not as big as Elvis'. Lisa-Marie should be more proud of her Father and stop moping after Michael J who incidentally tried to get hold of Elvis' estate and catalogue while married to her. What does that say?
awesome, must have taken a lot of time, love the cape bit at the end, there is only 1 and that includes the entire galaxy, i just cant help believin he does represent us to alien races playing some celestial gig that i hope someday to see
I was there( at the 2nd of the 3 concerts).. I paid a scalper $40 each for the tickets and cursed him. We had 3rd row in so we were right near him. It was a great show. I never liked him before that but was convinced he was in a league of his own after that show. The "Trilogy " was fantastic. He joked around a lot with "Are You Lonesome Tonight"( mumbling the corny words at the end). The girls were going crazy( including mine).
Best concert ever. I remember it like it was yesterday.
Lennon,Robert Plant and most of the others including Zepplin were not just in this particular concert but virtual made it habit to attend several others. Meeting Elvis back stage, while their could never contain their excitement. Proof of the influence the king had over anyone! Robert Plant and Brian just couldn't get enough of Elvis. They attended many of Elvis' concerts and so did Tom Jones.
@soundsmint ( Elvis not is God, hi is one man. "GOD" is only "JESUCRISTO" Elvis is king of Rock And Roll in the heart.) in spanish. "DIOS SOLO HAY UNO QUIEN SE HIZO HOMBRE EN JESUCRISTO,PARA SALVARNOS." ELVIS PRESLEY FUE EL REY DEL ROCK AND ROLL,Y MURIO Y NO RESUCITO COMO SI LO HIZO JESUCRISTO. A ELVIS LO RECORDAMOS Y HOY MAS QUE CONMEMORAMOS UN AÑO MAS DE SU MUERTE.PIDIEDOLE A "DIOS" QUE LO TENGA EN SU SANTA GLORIA.
To ElvisZone -- Hats OFF to you! The way in which you compiled this video is superb, and the "synching" of the footage with the song is spot on. Plus, the sound is excellent.
As a lifelong Elvis fan, the reason this song popped into my head is because I recently saw someone on CNN mention something about the alligators in Louisana, and, well, you know the rest of the story....
how in the #¤#¤ can people think Jackson is cool, evrey dance step is koregrapht and he had play back for "LIVE" concert alot of time, and the apperance the clothes that he wore is total rip off of Elvis clothes, nobody shoyld attempt to pull that off because it looks like shit on everybody except off on Elvis...

On the contrary, MJ once said: "I did not "proclaim myself to be anything".
MJ also ALWAYS acknowledged *God, Thanked *God, and said it was *God who gave him his artistic gifts.
And again, "On the contrary" - it was a combination of Bob Jones and Elizabeth Taylor who gave him that title...and it stuck... and the people thought it befitting ...and hence, it became his official title. Do some proper research!

@numberonefilmfan OMG--Geo Harrison two rows behind--and you were there to witness this event!?? Lucky you. I lived in NY and wasn't paying attn to happenings--(didn't know about the concert and didn't go.) Lots of kicking myself thru the years.
What is the purpose of playing tricks with the video and going from one frame to another out of sequence? Other than to make the watcher dizzy?? Ruins the whole thing. Would have been much nicer just to watch it as it was originally recorded.
Why this series of concerts was never professionally recorded is beyond me. Plus he always wanted to perform overseas but never did. His manager Tom Parker in my opinion, was a prick! Thanks for posting:)
@itssold: That is because colonel parker was an illegal alien. True!!! parker was nothing but a carnival huckster and bled Elvis without even thanking him. If Elvis had a real manager then he would have sold more, earned more and been even more popular than he was or is, if that is even possible. Maybe 8 billion records sold instead of 4 billion and 36 #1 Billboard hits instead of 18 of them. parker was a disgrace.
think of the words of songs as building materials and Elvis' genius of constructing palaces from them. when one understands that then one knows elvis is king.
WOOOW never seen Elvis like this before this is SOOO awesome stuff I would LOVE to have the whole 3 concerts on DVD or CD sometime I hope they release them soon ELVIS ROCKS AT MSG, I like his artistry in the performances its all just natural to him, I HAVE A FEELING THAT ELVIS IS FAR FROM DONE YET PEOPLE he is just going to go on and on till the end of time i say. I have been a fan for 21 years I'm now 24,
even trhe horshit you probably listen to now was influenced one way or another by Elvis. Elvis was rock and pop and country and gospel. You are just too fucking ignorant of a baboon to realize it.
@ElvisZone Seeing Elvis in concert was an experience you would never forget. Never. Sheer excitement...so much so you'd forget to breathe! And 55 minutes would seem like 5, and as you'd leave your seat, you'd wonder if what just happened really happened...
To Hardcoresnake247. Just FYI. Priscilla actually moved from Graceland to L.A. in January 1972, right before Elvis' birthday. But she did not file a formal separation until July 1972. It took until October of 1973 to agree on terms of the divorce.
"In June of 1972 (just months after his wife left him) " Correct me if i'm wrong but i do believe Elvis and Priscilla were divorced in october of 1973? It was believed to be one of the many but a bigger contributing factors to elvis' poor mental stability and ultimately his death.
Just for your info Hardcoresnake247. Priscilla actually moved out of Graceland in January of 1972, right before his birthday. So he was actually single when he performed these shows. She filed for a legal separation in July of 1972. It took them over a year to agree on terms of the divorce.
Elvis did 4 shows in 2 days at Madison Square Garden...and all 4 shows were completely SOLD OUT!...Over 60,000 people saw Elvis on that stage during them 2 days.
-In fact, all of Elvis' shows were always sold out!
nikeclub-that is a ridiculous and ignorant statement. Elvis wasn't worthy of carrying "True God's" shoes. Who do you think gave Elvis is talent. Your statement were really have made Elvis angry. Stupid and an insult to intelligent life
I was at the 2nd of the 3 concerts at the old Madison Square Garden.I cursed out a friend who charged me $40 for 3rd row seats( we were right near Elvis). What a show, I'll never forget it.
I was a kid going to "The Garden" and one thing I remember was everyone was not to bring cameras, recording, equipment inside. So none of our group did. When he came on stage, the flashbulbs EXPLODED and it was light daylight for seems like 5 minutes straight.
great video the jerry schiff bass solo is definitely awesome and if you are an old metallica fan cliff was an old jerry schiff fan he is also the original blues brothers band bass player and also for the doors on la woman great stuff man i love you all god bless you and ill see you soon
Yeah he played bass on the L.A. Woman record. Jim morrison always liked elvis and he rly wanted scheff to play on their album. And he did one hell of a job! And it's "scheff" b.t.w. not schiff ;) Grtz
Lets just say if i was Elvis then i would live the rock-n-roll lifestyle, just as he did,i would spend my money on women, drugs, drink and peanut butter!
I agree with you alicia1060. Too many people blame her alone. Elvis carried things that haunted him when he was a child and when his mother died. Being an only child and his stillborn brother dying at birth. He was bothered,Why Me? Why God was I picked to be where I am. It bothered him to his grave. He often said Satan possessed him and impowered him. That he was a freak of time and nature.
Then the bodyguards problem. JD Sumner warned Elvis that Priscilla was tired of the bodyguards invading their privacy. He said to Elvis he should have had the bodyguards on the outside of the house instead of inside the house most of the time.
Either way he did not blame her for cheating on him. In fact,he said on stage the infidelity with both of them did not break them up. His long and too much touring on stage away from her broke them up. He blamed himself for it.
I don't mean any disrespect, but unless you walked a mile in her shoes, you shouldn't be quick to judge. I love Elvis, but as we all know, he cheated on her all the time, and without hiding it. He was a womanizer. Why should any woman in love with her husband stand by and watch him do that. Linda didn't even last as long as Priscilla, but some put all the blame on her. You see Linda couldn't last either with Elvis' ways, it was hard, even for his body guards. Look at them now.
Thank God for Linda Thompson or Elvis Presley would have been gone by 1973. She kept him going those 4 more years. I wished she did not leave him in 1976. Ginger was good but she was too young and inexperienced with handling Elvis.
Priscilla disapointed me knowing she did not take Elvis back and closed the door on him, when the last time they met in November 1976. That was the final stab into his heart along with the trash book by his Judas Iscariot Gossip Betrayer bodyguards.
Cheers! thank you so much fo this....just need a poster of him on his knees with his cape out...been looking for a life time, it feels like, for one! Any one got any ideas would be brilliant....thanks in advance xx

think of the words of songs as building materials and Elvis' genius of constructing palaces from them. when one understands that then one knows elvis is king.

even trhe horshit you probably listen to now was influenced one way or another by Elvis. Elvis was rock and pop and country and gospel. You are just too fucking ignorant of a baboon to realize it.

ElvisZone 2 years ago
@ElvisZone Seeing Elvis in concert was an experience you would never forget. Never. Sheer excitement...so much so you'd forget to breathe! And 55 minutes would seem like 5, and as you'd leave your seat, you'd wonder if what just happened really happened...

To Hardcoresnake247. Just FYI. Priscilla actually moved from Graceland to L.A. in January 1972, right before Elvis' birthday. But she did not file a formal separation until July 1972. It took until October of 1973 to agree on terms of the divorce.
DE0072 2 years ago
"In June of 1972 (just months after his wife left him) " Correct me if i'm wrong but i do believe Elvis and Priscilla were divorced in october of 1973? It was believed to be one of the many but a bigger contributing factors to elvis' poor mental stability and ultimately his death.
I could be wrong though but....
Hardcoresnake247 2 years ago

What a show, I'll never forget it.
carm4765 2 years ago
I was a kid going to "The Garden" and one thing I remember was everyone was not to bring cameras, recording, equipment inside. So none of our group did. When he came on stage, the flashbulbs EXPLODED and it was light daylight for seems like 5 minutes straight.
SwingJetics 2 years ago 2
For some reason I love seeing all the flashbulbs in the live clips of Elvis. I don't know why that is but I love it!!

wonder if elvis liked the doors
jeff42568 3 years ago 2
great video the jerry schiff bass solo is definitely awesome and if you are an old metallica fan cliff was an old jerry schiff fan he is also the original blues brothers band bass player and also for the doors on la woman great stuff man i love you all god bless you and ill see you soon
metalheadjesusfreak 3 years ago 2
Did Jerry Schiff do some songs with The Doors?
belitnakoff 3 years ago
Yeah he played bass on the L.A. Woman record. Jim morrison always liked elvis and he rly wanted scheff to play on their album. And he did one hell of a job! And it's "scheff" b.t.w. not schiff ;) Grtz
Wheelz12 2 years ago
Donald "Duck " Dunn was the bass player for the Blues Brothers. Not Jerry Schiff.

Lets just say if i was Elvis then i would live the rock-n-roll lifestyle, just as he did,i would spend my money on women, drugs, drink and peanut butter!
and i would waste the rest
leedee1977 3 years ago
I agree with you alicia1060. Too many people blame her alone. Elvis carried things that haunted him when he was a child and when his mother died. Being an only child and his stillborn brother dying at birth. He was bothered,Why Me? Why God was I picked to be where I am. It bothered him to his grave. He often said Satan possessed him and impowered him. That he was a freak of time and nature.
Ontario0925 3 years ago
Then the bodyguards problem. JD Sumner warned Elvis that Priscilla was tired of the bodyguards invading their privacy. He said to Elvis he should have had the bodyguards on the outside of the house instead of inside the house most of the time.
Ontario0925 3 years ago
Either way he did not blame her for cheating on him. In fact,he said on stage the infidelity with both of them did not break them up. His long and too much touring on stage away from her broke them up. He blamed himself for it.
Ontario0925 3 years ago
Priscilla admitted she regrets that night in 1976 and it haunts her and she should have token him back. I wished Elvis married Linda Thompson.
Ontario0925 3 years ago
I don't mean any disrespect, but unless you walked a mile in her shoes, you shouldn't be quick to judge. I love Elvis, but as we all know, he cheated on her all the time, and without hiding it. He was a womanizer. Why should any woman in love with her husband stand by and watch him do that. Linda didn't even last as long as Priscilla, but some put all the blame on her. You see Linda couldn't last either with Elvis' ways, it was hard, even for his body guards. Look at them now.
alicia1060 3 years ago
Thank God for Linda Thompson or Elvis Presley would have been gone by 1973. She kept him going those 4 more years. I wished she did not leave him in 1976. Ginger was good but she was too young and inexperienced with handling Elvis.
Ontario0925 3 years ago
Priscilla disapointed me knowing she did not take Elvis back and closed the door on him, when the last time they met in November 1976. That was the final stab into his heart along with the trash book by his Judas Iscariot Gossip Betrayer bodyguards.
