Navi doesn't make loud annoying sounds and I have played through OoT to the end of the game and I don't really hear Navi much. Maybe it is because I focus on the puzzles, fighting, and how useful Navi is. Navi tells you about enemies, puzzles, and even when you should play the scarecrow song. What is annoying but is not Nintendo is the arrow in the knee joke, how is that even funny.

Okay, I totally disagree with Waluigi, while I will agree that he's probably the Mario character that they were laziest in making, the concept of an evil Luigi to counter an evil Mario is a concept that makes lots of sense and after reading the Brawl in the Family webcomic, he's my favorite Mario character in spin-offs and quite possibly the whole series.

Not to say that Waluigi is cool or anything, but.

Luigi's name is a pun, from the Japanese word 類似 (ruiji) meaning "similar". Waluigi's name comes from combining the Japanese word for "bad" 悪い (warui) + luigi's name. So really it should be "waruiji", since Japanese doesn't really distinguish between l and r. There you go, though; they didn't just whip the wa- part out of thin air for no reason. Not that it makes the character any cooler. I just wanted to clarify that for its own sake.
