No, they're really not. They are useless off road. This video shows that they can drive through a small splash. Yipee! You could get through the same splash on a Go Ped. BMW pulled from the Range Rover when they owned Land Rover. They failed and they know it. The X5 is for people that like to hang out at Starbucks.
