  • is that a cummins or detroit??? cant tell, sounds like inline 6 but not sure. sweet turbo. thats funny they say all units slow down, then right after that he lays into it

  • Haha this is what it sounds like when im doin sirens! Great video.

  • That turbo is louder than the engine lol.

  • @SeizureBassist i believe its a 60 series. the difference between it and the 671, is the 60 you can hear the turbo, and little of engine. and teh 671 is vice-versa. i may have that bass ackwards though

  • @yamahonkawazuki no sir you have it corect the old 2 strokes all u would heard in the cab is the motor untell it shifted then you would hear the turbo and blower blow off, but the new ones you mostly hear the turbo

  • Yeah nothing like the siren screaming and the engine shifting up and down with that hum :)

  • nice video

  • Great video doc. Got a great capture of the engine sounds. Reminds me of our truck here. Is it a Quality model with a Detroit diesel engine in it?

  • You are correct.

  • @joedfd43 i thank all fire truckes are diesel engine let me now if i am liying

  • @nathan12345toto >>>---> I think you are saying, "I think all fire trucks have diesel engines - Let me know if I am wrong." You are are correct. Few gasoline engine fire trucks were manufactured after the mid 1970's, and of course, there are exceptions.

  • @nathan12345toto < The commenter is referring to a DETROIT model 2stroke engine the produces a very distinct sound from a 4 stroke diesel.
