One of the great stars of all time at M-G-M pictures and in film musicals. A practical, down-to-earth, hardworking lady who never bought into stardom and wouldn't let anyone push her around. She was very loved.
@younghoss "Moderately attractive" - She was beautiful and her voice was heavenly. That's my humble opinion. As for "legend" - she was too often overlooked and underestimated. What a different outcome if MGM and other studios only gave her more opportunities to use her talents - a shame that didn't happen.
RIP Miss Grayson You were a Bright light of Talent In Hollywood. A Rare Individual and with Looks and A Voice. Thank You so much for Leaving us your Legacy so others may enjoy.
Kathryn.........you were one of MGM's brightest stars. One of the best singers ever. I've only seen a few of your movies but your voice was always the highlight of them. Your scene in Till the Clouds Roll By singing Make Believe was one of the most beautiful singing I've ever heard. RIP Kathryn.
so sad for her passing :( ... as she walked with God, the heaven rejoice's for her coming and a choir of angels are waiting for her to sing with them.... where she truly belongs! you are loved Miss Grayson and You are missed!!
When I first encountered Kathryn Grayson years ago on old black-and-white movies on public TV I thought she was magical. She'll always mean magic to me. RIP.
sorry to inform all here that Ms Grayson died of natural cause on 17th February 2010 at her Los Angeles home aged 88. My heartfelt condolences to her family and her many fans. There will never be another like her.
@holydiver73 I second that. Miss Grayson, nee Zelma Kathryn Hedrick, and her colleagues had something that today's so-call stars seem to have little of --TALENT.
I am so happy that you have restored this. It's EXCELLENT. Someone put it very well on YT: "no one will ever come close to this woman's beauty and talent."
Thank you. My first video was deleted by Youtube because of music copyright, so I have had to resort to an instrumental soundtrack in this version. Glad you still like it!
I love her. What mischievous eyes she had!

moderately attractive(for a celeb) with a fine voice.
But legend? I think that's quite the exaggeration.
