  • Did your right side crank seal go bad? Just wondering because I think mine is. I'm getting fouled plugs, and there is sludge in my exhaust tip.

  • @RobLeveille I tried to message you but couldn't figure out how with this new youtube bs. My right side crank seal was fine, but one of the crank bearings did fall apart. Your jetting could also be very rich which would cause what your describing. If your right side crank seal is leaking that means your burning tranny oil and the best way to tell is to put the recommended amount in and then take it for a few hour ride and see how much comes out. I would check jetting first though. is the bike

  • @RobLeveille sluggish and smoke a lot? is the plug completely black?

  • OMG. your voice is so sexy i want you to bend me over that 250 and put it to me. daaaaamn baby :) number? <3 <3

  • no 2 stroke

  • @livesley18889 no 2 stroke?

  • its a wiseco piston, there is a, w stamped on the bottom of it, ya file the grooves smooth on the basket it will work for a season or so , check ebay for a used one or a salvage yard

use new crank seals!, on the clutch side if the crank is bent to much, tha seal will let crank oil in the piston area, and youll burn oil, foul plugs, and runin the motor, check crank oil frequently, or get a used crank from a salvage yard

try dirt cycle salvage,1-508-478-5700 for cycle parts, or cycle pro's

  • @musiclovr2 check out the rest of my updates :)

  • @brp4life420 i did sorry lol

  • @brp4life420 Did your right side crank seal go bad? Did your plugs get fouled alot or did you notice thick sludge in the exhaust tip? Just wondering because I'm having that problem and think it's the right side crank seal, I checked my left and there wasn't any oil leakinng on the stator or magneto.

  • @RobLeveille Have you found what was wrong with your bike yet? Because if you haven't the way you can tell if your right side crank is bad. Is when you start it does it spit out an outrageous amount of smoke out of pipe. If it is your seal is bad.

  • @KARATExxCHUCK its parted out now. the crank was out of phase and destroyed the crank bearing. it was going to cost me more then it was worth to fix it so i parted it out. i have an 04 rm 125 now

  • That piston looks stock to me

  • @insanegeniuses it might be, ive looked and looked for the same piston and the wiseco looked the closest out of all of them. ill have a 2nd update soon.

  • @brp4life420 I just did the top in my RM250. The top was no problem to do. I have never had to do the bottom yet. Good luck with your build, I'm sure it will turn out fine.

  • @insanegeniuses how did you do it? ive read for 5+ hours and its complicated as hell. did you measure your piston and cylinder?

  • @brp4life420 I read everything I could find and then followed the instructions in the service manual. My cylinder still had some cross hatch showing so I didn't bother measuring the bore, just ordered a standard size Wiseco piston. I lightly wet sanded off the varnishing from the oil, installed the ring into the bore to check the ring gap with a feeler gauge (didn't need to file the gap) and put it all together with new gaskets. The bottom end looks far more involved from what I can tell.

  • @insanegeniuses ran out of characters......Feel free to message me if you have any questions with yours. I'm no pro but I can usually find answers.

    Rob

  • @insanegeniuses thanks bud. ill buy a digital caliper and get the piston and cylinder measured. on ebay there is a bunch of different MM's.. thats really the only thing that had me worried

  • somthing had to have gotten in there and jammed it but that be a pain splittin the case there hard but as long as uhave the right tools its not as bad

  • @dirtyrider10 i think it was bent when i bought it. owell ill get it fixed someday

  • That bites, wonder how the crank got bent.

  • i've been almost exactly where you are, my 85 rm250 needed alot of the same stuff.and i was on a very tight budget,it took me a long time but i got er done
