Wow, it's amazing how he puts up with all these people, with so much patience. I'm surprised that he still goes outdoors to paint cityscapes with the attention that he gets.
The old man is crazy. I guess he's always been an obsessive painter but this is just silly. Cezanne's method of farting in people's face wouldn't clear this crowd. If this is the way Spain treats its artists I can see why Velazquez stayed home and painted dwarfs and buffoons.
@marshall5862 - Most of the people in his way, are tourists that don't even know who Antonio Lopez is. Madrid in August, is when it most visited by tourists. Spanish people are very used to having artists on the street and act accordingly!
