I thought so too..but apparently the director of the show said that while he was crushed he's still online, or at least, his Spark is still functional...which makes sense when you look at the 'Blurr cube' that Longarm/Shockwave hands over for disposal...it's still blue and white, and not grey...so they ended up saying that they might-might being the key word-bring Blurr back...

Which makes sense, cause if they transferred his spark to a rebuilt/new body he'd be him again...
