@LucyLizard87 Aside from permanently attaching itself to things, AND making them grumpy, it ALSO solidifies as far as I can tell. It's like of like depression-causing clay/mud. A mudslide is really dangerous anyway. Now imagine the mudslide is conscious, and can cause depression and can't be washed off.

I'm 30 and I actually still find this kind of creepy. There's something essentially frightening about something with eyes and mouth that isn't recognizable as human or animal. Plus this is one part devastating landslide, one part concrete poor gone wrong, one part monster. Shiver.

It is kind of irritating the Witches from the Volcano of Gloom are down there with the Gizmonks in terms of being effective villains even within My Little Pony and yet they got a movie people actuall had to pay to see and a 10 part special while Teerak and Grogar are easily at the top of the heap and only got a half hour special and a 4-part episode respectively. I wonder what Return of Tambelon would have been like if it had been a 90 minute/2 hour movie.

I always thought that the smooze hardened over Dream Castle, and that it would suffocate/crush you if you got caught in a lot of it. The ponies in the movie only got hit with small globs of it, not the whole tidal wave.

Well it also didn't help that they didn't gather all of the ingredients. The flooze or whatever would have probably amplified the feelings. IE if it caused a whole kingdom to be wiped out.. it was probably not just grouchy feelings that were happening. I mean by the sounds of it, it's possible they all killed themselves.

But this is a kids cartoon and did we really want kids thinking that the witch made people murder their friends :p

Actually that's the point...it's not like todays cartoons were everything is about violence , killing and torturing. It's innocent and that's the beauty of it.... Today, cartoon senarios are like thrillers which is completely inappropriate for children and has no pedagogic character... Kids today have become all too violent , aggressive, and egoistic...and what plays on the tv has had a major part in this.

@snakes3425 Uhm, it does destroy things by burrying them - it completely covered the Castle - seems like it hardens after it does too. Later in the movie you find it destroyed a whole species and kingdom besides like 6-7 'Grundala's' or something ... It's basically a giant, conscious avalanache - and Avalanche's destroy =)

@snakes3425 Personally, I think it would be kind of hard to breath that stuff if it were up to your forehead. XD They did say it whipped out a kingdom, so maybe it only causes grumpiness in small doses or something as a side effect, and in the huge titlewave they've got it coming in it can esphyxiate you.

I do agree with you that kids movies can still have real danger: MLP's first villian was pretty bad ass.

Smooze is a weapon of potential mass murder. Go to Part 6, 6:12. You'll see five trollish persons introduce themselves as the last surviving Grundles. The reason the other Grundles are "gone" [i.e. killed], and Grundleland destroyed, was that they were all buried alive by Smooze. They even show Spike and Baby Lickety Split the remains of Grundleland, a ruined thing buried under hardened smooze. Unlike our heroes, the Grundles had no Flutterponies with which to save their home.
