This too sad i've been bullied and I bullied someone too but everytime I bully someone sometimes I say I'm sorry or I pray to god to let them forgive me and for him to forgive....so whose ever being bullied step up to them and become a leader!

I love the use of the word "Survivor" here, I was bullied by 90% of the kids in my school, by boys too. It was emotional, physical, social isolation even sexual harrasment at an age as young as 12. Now I want to be a teacher, so I can reach out to young people going through the same nightmare, not enough is done to help, adults just forget that they where young once too.

heh...kids really are animals some times....its so ironic now that i look back on it. that my religion was the only thing that was keeping me from taking a person's life. animals.. all of us. worst of all me...so broken i already was before my deluded beliefs... and it was only after a couple of suicide attempts i realized i had too much to live for ... cuz it was too sad to carry out. i had a loving family. but yet i couldnt stand the fact that i did not deserve it. it was hell.
i was bullied in middle school and in early highschool.....years of resentment and anger they were...still remember them very vividly i'm sorry to say...i had a few friends.. never a network ... and it almost turned out well. i almost had a girlfriend . but she asked me out around the onset of my psycosis. i accepted her offer, but was later beaten down in front of her only a few days later.
I was not bullied because I had friends that backed me up. I was one of the lucky ones. I let them know if anything bothered me,and we stood up to the bully as a group. Often the bully would vanish.
I am grateful for my network that helped me get away from, and protect each other from such hateful people.
@jadeybbz96 1st thing first is be strong,I know first hand its not easy but remember: school will end. 2nd NEVER accept it as the norm, I made this mistake and ended up incredibly depressed and annorexic. It is *not* normal and you are human and deserve to live without fear. Thirdly, tell a trusted adult, as much as you can an in as much detail as possible what happens. Perhaps there are ways you can sit at the front of class or stay in for breaks or be picked up from school?Good luck sweetheart
I spoke to my family doctor who told me to skip over the school completely and go right to the police and file charges. She has seen numerous cases in her office of injured kids from bullies. The school policy must be changed. I actually told the principal to shut up in her office I was so fed up as a parent - and she did! I just walked out in disgust. It is totally out of character for me.
The policy of the school makes matters worse: my son was bullied and by the third time of notifying the school I am sitting in my car in the school parking lot with my son, calling from the car saying if you don't do something my son is going to fist fight this kid today. They slap the bully on the wrist and send them on their way. Years later my daughter is being bullied and the school just has pat answers. I blame the school.

Well, because I am the weak smily girl who laughs things off... people bullied me.. I was on the bus one day and my friend started hurting me and sending mean texts... and they send orther horrible things ( I dont want to say incase the find out its me incase they read this) and they call me a thieve and tell everyone I stole her stuff and that I am stupid and that no one likes me etc... I was so sad

i didnt know what a bully WAS until the 1-3 grade. as the years passed it only got worse. by high school i just wanted to end my life cause i thought the whole world hated me. school was always a scary place for me because of the problems i have. i felt that no one understood me

my mom was bullied in high schooland she was being floowed in to the bathroom and she went into the stall and when she came out the girl was still there and she went to usse the same stall and my mom was walking out and bullie was walking in and she tripped and broke her nose on the toelet seat she got her lesson mom didnt even mean too lol right ? I use to get bullied when I was in highschool by a girl name Monique and her group of losers. Im 25yrs old and living a much happier life since then. I let being bullied motivate me into a stronger and more driven person. Im still mad that i had to go threw that.
I also let my experiences motivate me into being a much stronger, more driven and Focused person. I can't say that I am looking back and --mad at what I had to go through--..
It moved me into becoming who I am today. And it is absolutely an HONOR to be a National Motivational Speaker and speaking all over the country on how to deal with Bullying.

I'm sorry, I know we all make "mistakes"...but if you bully someone for cerebral palsy you need to get shot pure and simple. I mean, come on, PLENTY of us can claim that we NEVER have or WILL do anything that mean NEEDLESSLY, or "just for the hell of it", come on, anyone that sick has no use on this planet.
@ KingRadbadical1988: I totally agree with you. No-one should go through that. I have a pretty big case of both Asperger's Syndrome and OCD and probably a little bit of ADD and ADHD thrown in there for good measure, so I know what this dude had to go through. This translates into an uncontrollable "mad-scientist" laugh of sorts (don't ask...). One of the many reasons I was bullied through elementary, middle, and high school, but I fought back. I am so glad those days are finally over at last...

I had 2 bullies in high school. Patricia Hall and Regina Peden. I didn't realize until decades later that they were working together. Patricia used to walk the halls with a group of girls I called her "posse." She would try to get them to bully me too, but they'd just stand there with their mouths hanging open.
If I ever see Patricia or Regina again I'm going to slap them right across the face as hard as I can.

Bullying can ha[[en to adults too.. I am a survivor too.. I had 2 pages Tomarkenfan83 and TGAHFAN and I shut them down because of their crap.. A friend found the ISP and after pushing my prosicuters office to check it out, a letter was sent to the person and BOTH bullying pages were closed down... Best B day gift I ever got.. If you ever get the ISP of the bully then follow it though with your law enforcement it could save your life... It did mine....

I too am a survivor, from kindergarden to grade 8 I was bully mercilessly. In grade 10 in almost started again, a boy called me a lesbian and when i told him to stop he pushed, me, I ended up pushing him into a wall and almost smashing his head in with a stool. No one messes with me anymore.

There are no rights without something to enforce them and schools are like bureaucracies. By the time they do anything effective, you'll have graduated.
bullies are usually people who have been bullied themselfs but that is not a good reason to do it back as they should know how others feel, this has to stop, its hurting many people, not every one can fight back so please bullies think again about what you are doing and stop this because if you dont you will stay on this earth for a very long time till you do learn you will be very lonely

this sept, my family went to turkey one night there was a commontion a man and his child was being beaten the turks was saying respect respect us, the man was in a bad way my 19 year old son stopped them beating the man and little son, then then attacked my son my other also pulled them off his brother then they attacked my 16 year old but even though they were hurt they said they could not walk past and ignore what those men were doing there were 15 men beating 1 man & his son of 7

we took our kids out of school because of school bullies and taught them at home they have grown into lovely adults and cant stand up for them selfs we taught them how to deal with bullies and they never had any more probelms with school bullies because they never went back to school so may be mums and dads if your child is suffering dont let them take them out of school and teach them yourselfs as we did much kinder for them and safer
This is the MAIN reason I hate school. Now, I rarely get bullied, but its hard to explain, there are so many differnt types of kids, and not averyone can get along with another, it's a sad fact. I'm 14 and I admit, a lot of kids are complete assholes, just cause someone is a little differnt, and that for some stupid reason, they cant except that. In my opinion, it's sick how teachers, principals etc. force you to go to school, to deal with those kids.
hey man,i know what u mean. im the only 1 in my class with glasses, and i felt left out. Its just cuz i have 18/21 vision. but than a guy asked me to hang out,than he introduced me to a whole wack of friends, and before i realized what happened, i was pretty popular.

An ex Teacher called Mr Duncan Chism made pupil called Zoe Boyes fall into a canel from a Boat by pushing the Boat back with his foot on purpose I saw it on a Video they recorded and everyone in class apart from me watching it on Video laughed. I couldn't believe my eyes nor ears that a Teacher would do that then for them to laugh at it makes it look like their mentilly insane phsychopaths. Anyway Ducan Chism got the sack in the end fortunetly though it was 2 months before I completed.

You might be wondering what this bit has got to do with Bullying that a Police Officer has got charged for the murder of a girl you know why he's got charged cause he probably did it diliberately in a bully way cause if you go too far with bullying it can actually kill someone off and you would have helped them to commit suicide in someway if they did. Gordon Brown is planning to ban such activities of happy slapping when get hit on head cause it can damage the brain and kill. In good sense.
My mum has Care Staff and there like always trying to get her to go out with a resident there by force against will by making on purpose arguments which is there way of stopping her leaving and getting a place of own away from care. She tells me they the Care Staff at her Care Home see pictures and that they do that to her diliberately cause they the residents can't get place of own away from care and out and no money and they do that cause they've got mind probs too and talk straight.
Don't go to the Boarders next to that School I ended up in. It was a Prison Camp then it turned out to be. Keep away from it otherwise I'm sure you'll never be a normal progress confident person again. After what happened to some of us there I completely believe it.

All I can say is that I have experienced bullying when I was a child, but not to the degree that I have just seen on here. I cannot understand anyone behaving like animals the way that's described here. I was through this many years ago So much has happened since then but I see this as the key to ending bullying- doing and accomplishing- If you stay sedentary long amounts of time and lose focus and purpose in life you will make yourself an easy target. adequate levels of physical fitness is very important. For physioally handicapped people it is much more difficult, so they need support structure. Also, why not do some housework/yardwork to build some muscle, endurance, and responsibility.
Why, oh why, didn't they have these kind of films and lectures when I was in school decades ago?? How long did it take America's schools to FINALLY wake up to the bullying problem, and I wonder how many suicides and "Columbine" situations it took? As a survivor of bullying myself, I can't help but ask those questions.

What is the purpose of allowing bullying in the school, you'd might as well tell them they're being punished for being born and start preparing the bullies and the bullied for jail, because eventually they're both going to be there one way or another. If you bullied the principal, all he'd do is reach under his desk, push the panic button and the child would be taken somewhere long term, away from the school and the town.
The bystanders who are witnessing bullying taking place have a lot more power than they think. It is hard to stand up against bullies but there's strength in numbers. If the bullies out number the innocent bystanders and the bullied, there really isn't much that can be done. Maybe report the bullying to a teacher, police etc after the incidents. Are there any other legal non violent ways to deal with bullies?
yeah it does suck,but remember, every bully has thier own insecruities that they are playing on. its also always nice to step in when s bullying is going on and to at least try to stick up for the good guy
i was bullied in my youth for many many years. i still have never figured out why. i suffered from severe depression,attempted suicide,was moved to an alternative school because of my truancy. I quit school in 11th grade. To this day I suffer from depression and have panic disorder. Being bullied affects people well into their adult years. Treating others how you would want to be treated is all it takes.
I know what it is to be bullied, I dealt with it through most of my childhood. One thing I am now proud to say is thanks to God and my determination. Now later in life, I have a good job, a new house, a new BMW. The ones that bullied me growing up are now either in jail or they are bums that can't even keep a minimum wage job. To those who are bullied I say this, God is with you...though you might not believe it now, you will come out ahead

laila7love, that's great and it is important to teach kids- school students good ways in how they can stand up. I know Tony is doing that also. Like in this video where it shows 'it's time to teach kids to take a stand, if they don't maybe NO-ONE will'. Thanks for doing something to help.

And several months ago, Tony was Speaking at my Little brother's middle school. And from him (brother), Tony's was the best assembly at the school in years. Alot of students were talking about it.

bullying will never stop no matter how much we try. people are afraid of what they don't understand or see sometimes its jealousy what ever it maybe. I don't know about anyone else here but I feel bullying if any thing has gotten worse a lot of children in the UK have been killed by bullies. This scares me more as I'm scared to send my own child to school.Seeing as it seems to be the norm for children to carry knifes/guns around with them.
Of course they do no one likes getting beaten on a daily basis. I wrote what I think may be the answer to why people bully. I was bullied too adter I heard what my mum said I linked it with my experience it made sense. Bullies pick on individuals because they are threatened by them and jealous because they want success and thats why victims succeed because they are standouts or bullies may just hurt people just to let off their anger. Bullies like to follow trends and do anything to be cool.
at m school ive had a few letian talks becaus its easte and talks about bullying and cyber bullying and it has truly inspired me and i will try stop bullying even if it is just a joke
this guy (Tony) came to our town too!!! Assemblies on stopping Bullying. Tony's Assemblies are really good. Tony has comments from students in the area-Indiana- on his MySpace...about the speech! Very moving and fun!

You can't let resentment toward bullies fester! That only adds to the hate and pain of everyone. Stand-tall, be yourself and always look toward what can be, inside of what was or what is. You are not alone and you shouldn't be afraid. Be better than those who would do wrong against you and be a peace with the knowledge that where ever you go in life, you will be more happy than those people who would cause you pain.

heh...kids really are animals some times....its so ironic now that i look back on it. that my religion was the only thing that was keeping me from taking a person's life. animals.. all of us. worst of all me...so broken i already was before my deluded beliefs... and it was only after a couple of suicide attempts i realized i had too much to live for ... cuz it was too sad to carry out. i had a loving family. but yet i couldnt stand the fact that i did not deserve it. it was hell.

i was bullied in middle school and in early highschool.....years of resentment and anger they were...still remember them very vividly i'm sorry to say...i had a few friends.. never a network ... and it almost turned out well. i almost had a girlfriend . but she asked me out around the onset of my psycosis. i accepted her offer, but was later beaten down in front of her only a few days later.

I was not bullied because I had friends that backed me up. I was one of the lucky ones. I let them know if anything bothered me,and we stood up to the bully as a group. Often the bully would vanish.
I am grateful for my network that helped me get away from, and protect each other from such hateful people.

@jadeybbz96 1st thing first is be strong,I know first hand its not easy but remember: school will end. 2nd NEVER accept it as the norm, I made this mistake and ended up incredibly depressed and annorexic. It is *not* normal and you are human and deserve to live without fear. Thirdly, tell a trusted adult, as much as you can an in as much detail as possible what happens. Perhaps there are ways you can sit at the front of class or stay in for breaks or be picked up from school?Good luck sweetheart

I spoke to my family doctor who told me to skip over the school completely and go right to the police and file charges. She has seen numerous cases in her office of injured kids from bullies. The school policy must be changed. I actually told the principal to shut up in her office I was so fed up as a parent - and she did! I just walked out in disgust. It is totally out of character for me.

The policy of the school makes matters worse: my son was bullied and by the third time of notifying the school I am sitting in my car in the school parking lot with my son, calling from the car saying if you don't do something my son is going to fist fight this kid today. They slap the bully on the wrist and send them on their way. Years later my daughter is being bullied and the school just has pat answers. I blame the school.

I was on the bus one day and my friend started hurting me and sending mean texts... and they send orther horrible things ( I dont want to say incase the find out its me incase they read this) and they call me a thieve and tell everyone I stole her stuff and that I am stupid and that no one likes me etc... Trust me..nobody likes a bully who picks on people.I`ve been bullied when i was 7-14 years old before.
Bullies are just losers who wants negative attention.They pick on people to make their ego self proud....a fake pride it is.
I was punched a lot at and my money were taken away.However,i let them bully to show me how strong i am to survive years of oppression.

I have a pretty big case of both Asperger's Syndrome and OCD and probably a little bit of ADD and ADHD thrown in there for good measure, so I know what this dude had to go through. This translates into an uncontrollable "mad-scientist" laugh of sorts (don't ask...). One of the many reasons I was bullied through elementary, middle, and high school, but I fought back. I am so glad those days are finally over at last...

I had 2 bullies in high school. Patricia Hall and Regina Peden. I didn't realize until decades later that they were working together. Patricia used to walk the halls with a group of girls I called her "posse." She would try to get them to bully me too, but they'd just stand there with their mouths hanging open.
If I ever see Patricia or Regina again I'm going to slap them right across the face as hard as I can.

Bullying can ha[[en to adults too.. I am a survivor too.. I had 2 pages Tomarkenfan83 and TGAHFAN and I shut them down because of their crap.. A friend found the ISP and after pushing my prosicuters office to check it out, a letter was sent to the person and BOTH bullying pages were closed down... Best B day gift I ever got.. If you ever get the ISP of the bully then follow it though with your law enforcement it could save your life... It did mine....

I too am a survivor, from kindergarden to grade 8 I was bully mercilessly. In grade 10 in almost started again, a boy called me a lesbian and when i told him to stop he pushed, me, I ended up pushing him into a wall and almost smashing his head in with a stool. No one messes with me anymore.

This is why I go across the country and Speak and Teach in all different kinds of Schools, large and small, teaching on the 5 Key ways to work through BULLYING situations. this sept, my family went to turkey one night there was a commontion a man and his child was being beaten the turks was saying respect respect us, the man was in a bad way my 19 year old son stopped them beating the man and little son, then then attacked my son my other also pulled them off his brother then they attacked my 16 year old but even though they were hurt they said they could not walk past and ignore what those men were doing there were 15 men beating 1 man & his son of 7

we took our kids out of school because of school bullies and taught them at home they have grown into lovely adults and cant stand up for them selfs we taught them how to deal with bullies and they never had any more probelms with school bullies because they never went back to school so may be mums and dads if your child is suffering dont let them take them out of school and teach them yourselfs as we did much kinder for them and safer

This is the MAIN reason I hate school. Now, I rarely get bullied, but its hard to explain, there are so many differnt types of kids, and not averyone can get along with another, it's a sad fact. I'm 14 and I admit, a lot of kids are complete assholes, just cause someone is a little differnt, and that for some stupid reason, they cant except that. In my opinion, it's sick how teachers, principals etc. force you to go to school, to deal with those kids.

An ex Teacher called Mr Duncan Chism made pupil called Zoe Boyes fall into a canel from a Boat by pushing the Boat back with his foot on purpose I saw it on a Video they recorded and everyone in class apart from me watching it on Video laughed. I couldn't believe my eyes nor ears that a Teacher would do that then for them to laugh at it makes it look like their mentilly insane phsychopaths. Anyway Ducan Chism got the sack in the end fortunetly though it was 2 months before I completed.

You might be wondering what this bit has got to do with Bullying that a Police Officer has got charged for the murder of a girl you know why he's got charged cause he probably did it diliberately in a bully way cause if you go too far with bullying it can actually kill someone off and you would have helped them to commit suicide in someway if they did. My mum has Care Staff and there like always trying to get her to go out with a resident there by force against will by making on purpose arguments which is there way of stopping her leaving and getting a place of own away from care. She tells me they the Care Staff at her Care Home see pictures and that they do that to her diliberately cause they the residents can't get place of own away from care and out and no money and they do that cause they've got mind probs too and talk straight.

All I can say is that I have experienced bullying when I was a child, but not to the degree that I have just seen on here. I cannot understand anyone behaving like animals the way that's described here. I was through this many years ago So much has happened since then but I see this as the key to ending bullying- doing and accomplishing- If you stay sedentary long amounts of time and lose focus and purpose in life you will make yourself an easy target. adequate levels of physical fitness is very important. For physioally handicapped people it is much more difficult, so they need support structure. Also, why not do some housework/yardwork to build some muscle, endurance, and responsibility.

Why, oh why, didn't they have these kind of films and lectures when I was in school decades ago?? How long did it take America's schools to FINALLY wake up to the bullying problem, and I wonder how many suicides and "Columbine" situations it took? As a survivor of bullying myself, I can't help but ask those questions.

if u get bully to the point where if i got hit one more time by some older kid our principal threatens to report it to the cops. u never feel the same again ur life will never forget it will always be a horror that will haunt u forever.

Part of the problem I think is that kids are institutionalised in a school. It's a bit like being confined every day and it isn't natural.
Maybe one way to reduce bullying is to home educate if possible.

if it wasnt for my few friends then i would leave the school. i dont want to leave them behind for what others have done. i just ignore them, im not brave enough to make a stand. i wish i could.

yeah, i useto get bullied in my first year of high school, my mother suggestead that i should transfer schools. i didnt want to, i knew alot of nice people, but now im m 3rd year, the ones who bullied me, haev a laugh with me, and we talk sometimes

What is the purpose of allowing bullying in the school, you'd might as well tell them they're being punished for being born and start preparing the bullies and the bullied for jail, because eventually they're both going to be there one way or another. If you bullied the principal, all he'd do is reach under his desk, push the panic button and the child would be taken somewhere long term, away from the school and the town.

The bystanders who are witnessing bullying taking place have a lot more power than they think. It is hard to stand up against bullies but there's strength in numbers. If the bullies out number the innocent bystanders and the bullied, there really isn't much that can be done. Maybe report the bullying to a teacher, police etc after the incidents. Are there any other legal non violent ways to deal with bullies?

yeah it does suck,but remember, every bully has thier own insecruities that they are playing on. its also always nice to step in when s bullying is going on and to at least try to stick up for the good guy

i was bullied in my youth for many many years. i still have never figured out why. i suffered from severe depression,attempted suicide,was moved to an alternative school because of my truancy. I quit school in 11th grade. To this day I suffer from depression and have panic disorder. Being bullied affects people well into their adult years. Treating others how you would want to be treated is all it takes.

Bulling is terrible, which obviously needs to be stopped.

I know what it is to be bullied, I dealt with it through most of my childhood. One thing I am now proud to say is thanks to God and my determination. Now later in life, I have a good job, a new house, a new BMW. The ones that bullied me growing up are now either in jail or they are bums that can't even keep a minimum wage job. To those who are bullied I say this, God is with you...though you might not believe it now, you will come out ahead

SoulBeliever, your comment there, it is a Scary thing...the bullying. Problem is, in America (and I am sure other countries too) there is little to NO Character Education in the schools. And we wonder why??!! (crazy things happen.)
And several months ago, Tony was Speaking at my Little brother's middle school. And from him (brother), Tony's was the best assembly at the school in years. Alot of students were talking about it.
So Tony is out there really teaching on "how to deal" with it.

bullying will never stop no matter how much we try. people are afraid of what they don't understand or see sometimes its jealousy what ever it maybe. I don't know about anyone else here but I feel bullying if any thing has gotten worse a lot of children in the UK have been killed by bullies. This scares me more as I'm scared to send my own child to school.Seeing as it seems to be the norm for children to carry knifes/guns around with them.

Of course they do no one likes getting beaten on a daily basis. I wrote what I think may be the answer to why people bully. I was bullied too adter I heard what my mum said I linked it with my experience it made sense. Bullies pick on individuals because they are threatened by them and jealous because they want success and thats why victims succeed because they are standouts or bullies may just hurt people just to let off their anger. Bullies like to follow trends and do anything to be cool.

this guy (Tony) came to our town too!!! Assemblies on stopping Bullying. Tony's Assemblies are really good. Tony has comments from students in the area-Indiana- on his MySpace...about the speech! Very moving and fun!
