I first got into Glenn Phillips about 22 years ago, when Guitar Player did a nice one page article on him. Not too long after that I found a couple of his LP's at a used record store, and have been digging him ever since. I'm still bummed I couldn't go to ProgDay the year that he played. Maybe one day I'll get to see him play live.
First saw Glenn and HGB at the Old Memorial Hall at UGA the Fall of 69. Glenn and Harold were riffing on the theme from the good, the bad, and the ugly while a crew-cut Bruce in brown waders and a red sweatshirt did the watusi.
been a big fan of glenn ..dark lights.. razer pocket..loved seeing the band at the double door in charlotte NC. bill ray..paul p..sorry about the spelling...
Freaking awesome! Glenn is THE MAN! I'm trying to upload some of my own video of the band at Progday 2005 but I think you got my closer to Glenn than I did. Great shots!
Thanks for posting this tune. One of my favotite song songs of all time and one of the best of the eelctic guitar age. Hawkwind is also great. Keep your head above the clouds.
Thanks for this posting, Hawkwindave! (Great band - surely before your time?) Excellent video & sound quality, well synchronized. One of my favorites! I'm sure Glenn will appreciate the exposure, as always -
LOL you're welcome :) I've been trying to promote the Hampton Grease Band to all and sundry for the last 15 years. The best worst selling LP of all time!
BTW...
Hawkwind actually formed in celebration of my birth in 1969! :Dx
Unbelievable feeling...Just astounding.

Beautiful! One of my favourite guitarists, and a fantastic composer. Severely overlooked, but a great inspiration nonetheless.

This is my favorite tune from that album.
I was taking lessons from Glenn for awhile and when I was up there he really had that spiritual air about him.
My dad bought an Echoplex from him a long time ago (he was a big fan) and when my dad found out I was taking lesson from him he HIT THE FLOOR.
My dad still has a late 70's framed issue of Guitar Player magazine with Glenn on the cover in his den!
I have all his SIGNED LPS!!!!!
