@MinishSword I speak both English and Japanese fluently. As far as I'm concerned, the dubbing is quite accurate. You said earlier "Save the planet? She almost killed a whole town because she wanted to be with her friend.". But that indicates you're not getting the big picture.

i think disney presented this movie because maybe there are alot of kids in the world that would beg their parents to see it...orrrr because it involves cyrus and jonas they put it in disney..its just my idea of why but i doubt thats the exact reason

Disney has made masterpieces of their own, but their time is over they have no true heart in them anymore.

They distribute the films in America. They also take the time to set up the English dubbing for the American audience. They care. That is why they get their name on them. So, it is a good thing that they care. Otherwise, you wouldn't get to see or understand them, unless you speak Japanese.

I understand that, but I just wish that another company would do the dubbing / distributing that way A) the original script of the movie would not be destroyed (like Spirited Away) and B) people like Frankie Jonas don;t do the voices of the characters.

I am glad of the fact that at least SOMEONE dubs these movies, though I would prefer it to be a better company, like Bandai.

Because it's all about money. all kids want now days are good graphics, ultra fight scenes, best of the best art work. But piss on the story line. So all animators need to do is make a simple story line, throw a few high end images in it and call it a movie.

You are aware this isn't the first Miyazaki film that Disney has dubbed right? They haven't screwed up before (may i mention Spirited Away), I see no reason why they would start now.

Don't prejudge dubs because of one or two shitty ones you've seen.

Just saw it today. It was adorable! Although this trailer actually mixes up quite a few of the lines so the story was a little different than I expected.

It was still wonderful though.
