  • The part of the movie where Christina is accepting the award for Joan and the large pictures of her are hanging in the background was really comical, to me, because it shows her with the same expression in every one. Joan was extremely versatile, and her appearance changed greatly throughout her career, much more than anyone I can think of, really. That was without plastic surgery.

  • ,,,thank you so much Craig, I should 've known you would use the Blue Oyster Cult Song....Faye was robbed of that Oscar that year for sure!....of all the Hollywood stars-Silent to now I really think she is definitely in the top 5 perhaps 3 just for sheer drive alone, no one else worked al long as her the silent 20s to 71....Long Live Joan Crawford.....

  • @SleepWhenIamDead thanks ..would not have done the video without the Cult...lol

  • If my husband was a women he'd be like that when it comes to cleaning.

Child- "Mommy i want a cheesburger"

Joan-"How many times do i have to tell you no more cheeseburgers"

Child- "If it's going to take you beating me with a wire hanger for a cheesburger forget about it".

  • This is clever! Take notes.

  • What was so bad about Joan Crawford? She had NOTHING on my mother!

  • Faye Dunaway rocked as Joan Crawford! I have a sick twisted obsession with both. Love this.

  • Yes! the film was a flop at first, I saw it long time ago great performance, and great direction by Mr. Perry!!. You did a great job here!!. Thanks.

  • That was crazy good! Liked it.

  • Great clip .with great music ,,this was a mad movie but nice to watch ,,thanks

  • OH-MY-GAWD!!! O_O NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MOOOOOOOOOOOOORE WIRE HANGERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS!!!!!!!! Omg,those chilling words had me trembling,I mean,I shuttered every time I saw a wire hanger from that moment ON!!! POWERFUL,GRIPPING,RAW! Wow,I luuuuuuuuuuuv this movie, but it was soooo sad at times, sooo upsetting, mainly cuz it hits home so closely.... Next to "Bonnie and Clyde, this is perhaps Faye Dunaway's BEST performance imo, just BRILLIANT,what else can I say,but AWESOME CRAIG!!! ~LaDy T♥

  • @MADWORLD1427 I can think on movies that can be funny (even though they aren't in the basis, such as Hostel, that Tarentino's comedy). I agree that Dunaway is perfect in all her other movies. About this one could be considered as a cult or a classic, let's make it ths way: Each one remains with his own judgement.

  • An awesome video for a classic example of what we spoke about before. Good actors don't mean good movies and vice-versa. In fact the only good thing on this movie is the makeup. It is almost tragic to see an actress of the dimension of Dunaway lose her time on such an attempt of easy success The book is incredible bad. We just need to throw it on the garbage can. Joan Crawford had mental problems. What was the excuse of Christina, beside her lack of talent, charm and personality?

  • Craig my friend, you did a wonderful job here!! The film is extraordinary and Faye Dunaway is perfect for the role!!! No other actress could make this film better than her! Exhilarating at 3:16 when the name is pronounced, Cristinaaaa!! Thank you for introducing me to this song, rightly suited for video!! A particularly harsh portrait of Joan Crawford that has aroused much controversy.

    Added in playlist!

  • Well done! Bravissimo my friend! Cheers, Lady E ---{--@

  • awesome video, with an unusual choice, but, yet, fitting piece of music! well done!

  • Absolutely amazing!

  • NO MORE WIRE HANGERS!

    (Sorry, I couldn't help myself) : P

  • This is deeply disturbing..*.especially to someone deeply disturbed.

  • Hi Craig, Another masterful job - as always ! ! !

  • Fabulous editing, Craig! Brilliant and disturbing movie, it shocked me very much when I was a teenager!! Btw, the cast was amazing!

  • Absolutely chilling. Great video quality!

  • Craig...absolutely one of my favorite movies of all time...and what you have produced here is pure GENIUS! GREAT...one of your very best My Friend. Right to my FAVES! Love it.

    Love YOU,

    Buster

  • Thanks for this one. It's an absolute masterpiece and i've enjoyed watching this very much!

  • Love the subject of this film. Dunaway had some excellent film roles before prior to "Mommie Dearest", yet she really humanized this role; giving a no-holds barred performance. I know that she has said that this film "ruined" her career. Wonderful as always, Craig! 5*'s

  • Special film clips, great image editing, fantastic song.

A pleasure for the eye and ear.

The accompaniment of music for film is always a special experience.

I love the songs. They are my taste. :-)

    Many thanks Craig !

    Thumbs up !*****

Christina Crawford in 1978 published her book "Mommie Dearest". The book was filmed in 1981 by Frank Perry with Faye Dunaway in the title role.

  • This is a great movie, i remember it and your clip is an excellent portrayal of the Grand Dame, she had her problems [sickness] and must have been absolute hell to live with but she was one hell of an actress, one of the best! go s to show you, the book covers look inviting but you may not want to know what's on those pages as it were. loved it Craig, your work is tops....Colt

  • You always seem to be right on Q with your latest suppression Craig. How you do it will always be a MYTHory to me! LOL
