A very interesting perspective on what the organist hears. Delay in response, any operational problems in the instrument and the sometimes delayed reverb must make an already fiendishly complex instrument very difficult to play well. A very enjoyable and well played piece.
please come on guys - the video camera is at the console and as is pointed out below this gives the sound as the player hears it. Enjoy that for what it is - don't complain, and welcome to our world - we often don't get to hear what the audience hears.
@revalison1 I can't believe that this is all the player hears. If I had to deal with an organ that sounded so muffled at the console, I would think it a failure, and so would the organist. It would be good to have the piece recorded again, and with better-placed microphones or whatever else it takes to get the thing *right*! (Good piece, though, and excellently played from what I could hear. Thanks.)
All those who think it's too quiet, should understand that you are hearing the sound as the organist hears it, not as it is in the rest of the building. It's not one we get to hear very often.
Someone forgot to take the pillows off the microphone. What an insult to a fine organist. Ans a waste of our precious and expensive broadband allotment.
Agreed. Great playing, no doubt. But the mic needed to be closer to the organ than the console. I could hear all the clicking from the keys being depressed as much as I could hear the notes!
I like it. Good registration, tempo in keeping with the style and acoustics of the Church. Well done.

It's a baroque voice tracker action organ. Probably low wind pressure. If my ears aren't deceiving me.

Inverted key colors? Is this an old original design for early organs?

The organ and your playing are simply fantastic! The organ has a deep rich sound, and your playing as astonishing as Bach may have been.

I liked the first two parts, but the third one wasn't quite "lentement" enough for my taste.

Great sound?? I have to put the volume so high that I hear just a little bit.
But the playing style is great! Nice!
