Man, fuck Kael. We wiped so many times on this bastard, and when we finally downed him, I got the T5 chest for my hunter. Shit was so cash. I personally find this fight much more difficult than many of the Hyjal or BT encounters.

@FinSupafly people say how much they love it and how cool it was after the fact. During TBC all you would hear was crying and qq about how hard it was, how imbalanced it, how much it hated melee dps, etc, etc.

Do you really think that blizzard toned down the difficulty for no reason?

People cried and Blizzard listened. They cried about how easy it was in Wrath, again they listened.

Halfway through Cata they cried again about difficulty.

@Xentozz yeah, at the bit when Kael'thas is supposed to break the roof open, he doesn't instead he will hold a big ball of magic above his head, then he will follow the tank around. He cannot be attacked and Kael'thas doesn't attack. so we had to restart then slow down the DPS.

Stopped by this video to relive the good ol' days. The best fight in WoW. Spent so many nights wiping on him before any of the nerfs. Killing him was probably my best moment in WoW. Having killed Vashj Illidan Archi or LK this is saying quite a lot.

Wotlk doesn't offer any of this not even the so called hardmodes.

Btw the sloppiest kills are always the best!

I ain't arguing that they haven't done a good job. But they could have done better, that's for sure... If you have played TBC or Pre-Tbc you would have noticed the the difficulty is a lot lower in WOTLK than they were before..

Personal opinion has the hardest boss ever in WoW is a toss up between Vael of BWL or the Four Hoursemen of Naxx.

C'thun required a hotfix since we was initially unbeatable. but after he was hofixed he was killed a few hours later by Nihilum.

One problem. The current level of content is only equal to TK/SSC. You can't count BT, hyjal, and sunwell in because their equilivants have not yet been released in wrath. So the only things that can compare are kael, vashj, and mag pre nerf, which i am willing to bet good money on are no harder than Alone in the darkness, and maybe firefighter prenerf.
