tip for the color on the pipes, a little steel wool, the real fine grade stuff, or S.O.S pads work great to remove the coloring and rust on it

@Big4x4 yeah they do. I know of a guy who blew the oil pump through the oil pan on a 7.3 powerstroke. it was aroung 19 degrees and the dumbass fired it up and stood on it, blew it up. you can't fix stupid though.

A healthy, well tuned 6.2 is not a speed machine, but it's not slow either. Imagine it as being about as fast as a good 305 but more torque than a 350. It feels different than a gas engine, every diesel does. I always though they were absolute pigs until i removed the EGR crap and changed my injectors. Now it's got actual acceleration to match the noise. Throw a new or rebuilt injection pump and turbo setup onto it and you'd give most any near stock 350 truck a run for it's money.
