Love the Xotic pedals. Love your sound man. I have the old style AC and the new AC. The old sound better on a Fender amp however the new sounds great on a Mesa Boogie Lonestar Classic. BB Preamp is another great pedal. Peace, -G.

Crelis is dead right, AC boost plus vintage blackface twin or deluxe reverb comes up with a great dumble-like / R Ford / L Carlton tone.

I have both. Not the same at all. In a very good tube amp (I tried them both in a matchless), those are the conclusions:

1- Tube Driver has more headroom and is more powerfull. It is a much smoother overdrive, À la Eric Johnson. The AC booster is a little bit like a TS9 and has more mid emphasis. It can also be used to boost another pedal, like a BB preamp or it can also be boosted by a clean boost like an RC booster, to have more bite.
