  • haha.. I highly doubt it.. There are other phones that they will probably want to use before the 800. Another thing you might want to figure out is what OS you ran on the 650; was it Palm or WIndows?

  • I found a freeware that allows you to exit the program when you tap the on-screen X button, but not when you press the ok button. I know it says HTC, but judging from the comments on the page, it'll work for some other phones. Comments also mentions going into settings to get it to work, make note of that.

    *edit

    I tried to comment twiceWithTheUrlOfThePage,But iThinkYoutubeDoesntAllowUrlsOrSomethingCasueItsNotShowingUp.ButItsCalled "htc x button".JustTypeThatInGoogleSearchAndOpenTheFirstResult

  • haha, i carry around my charger sometimes be casue the battery is so bad, turning off bluetooth, wifi, and lowering your brightness to the lowest setting without turning off the back light helps too. you could also hold the option key (under "A" key) to instantly get the the task manager, i find that useful when i dont want to wait the 3 seconds holding the ok button

  • sorry i meant hold the option key, and press ok. you can see all these shortcuts in settings>personal tab>buttons

  • i found a website where they make custom batteries that have alot more extended battery life for this phone its may add some bulk and an extra 50 bucks but you get about another day with it

  • There is a way to make the battery last longer! You disable the gps while you are not using any program that uses it. Its quite simple! Just press and hold the gps icon on the today screen, a screen will pop up, select "911 Only", another screen will pop up, press dismiss, then press okay and there ya go! A HUGE battery saver!

  • wow, didnt know about that, will test it out

  • You can hold the OK button for a short cut to task manager, right? As the previous poster mentioned.

This was the case on my 700wx.

  • Yes, that is correct. Holding the OK button will open the task manager.

  • I've had my Treo 700wx for almost 3 years and I couldn't be happier with it. I figure it's time for an upgrade (mostly for updated fatures EVDO, GPS and threaded texting). I have an account with Sprint and one with AT&T and have decided to go with the Treo 800w over the iPhone because of AT&T's poor call quality & poor customer service. ANYWAY I would expect that holding the grey function key + ok button is still the shortcut to task manager to end running programs. Let me know if it's not.

  • just to let u know u can always go to da sprint store and ask for a spare bettery and dey will give it to for free.. i work there

  • R U sure about that? I can just walk in and say "hey can you give me another battery" and they won't ask any questions. They will just give it to me?

  • really i will try that

  • *** Sorry (my first comment was in error), Task Manager is accessed by holding down the "OK" button for a second or two. ***

  • Rather than accessing the Task Manager via the tiered menu structure simply hold down the Red Call End button for a second or two and viola! There are multiple ways to access and do things on this device. Too cool! I haven't seen any reviews about the phones voice command feature! Speak, "Call John Smith at work." and the phone will reply, "Call John Smith at work?"...and say, "yes!". Presto! Many other voice commands too! Awesome!
