Fold a towel (preferably black so it won't be so visable from outside the bag) on the bottom and put your laptop (in a neoprene sleeve--Target, $20 or so) on top of the towel. Should you (or someone else) indelicately place the bag on the ground, there will be some cushioning.
I have found with my Saddleback leather items that most scratches can be erased simply by licking your finger and rubbing a little... that's the advantage of full grain leather
I think It's exceptionally beautiful. Only a "FAG" would say it's heavy! It's a Man's bag! We MEN evolved to lift HEAVY things. a bag that weighs a little more than any other briefcase wouldn't be a difference. It's a real man's bag. I LOVE IT! I'm ordering one. Thanks for the review!
I am right at 5'10" and the large is a little big on me. I went back and fourth on medium versus large for this bag, but I finally opted for large considering I wanted to use it for travel. Saddleback advertises that the large is "good for carry on". Don't get me wrong, large is not totally gigantic, but a medium probably fits my frame better. Thanks again!
I just bought myself. Just received it. All I have to say is : what a piece of art. You will never have to buy a bag again once you get one of these. I use the bag for school- books, Mac book air, Ipad, pens, pencils, calculator, notebook its perfect. Compliments all the time. the bag is heavy but its what is expected and shows the OUTSTANDING EXCELLENT QUALITY of the bag. the best bag I have ever owned, PERIOD.
