  • Wow -- this is just too precious! I know it took LOADS of patience and stealth to film this, but it actually looks like the one mother had gotten a little used to you by the end. Did she ever get the peanut? Anyway - this is classic - definitely one of your finest yet!

  • Thank you waywardmuse for your lovely comment on my most commented on video of all time:))

Yes the mother mouse got her peanut:)

  • It's really amazing how you were able to capture all that on film, very nice footage...

    Thank you...

  • Thank you so much for watching and commenting:)

  • Hi GilaTomster...you are lucky to see a snake! I NEVER see snakes:( Looks like you have been getting all the excitement lately with storms AND snakes:))

  • Awwww How cute is that! She is such a good mama! I'd be spying to see how they are doing too. lol Cute Video! :o)

  • Thank you LibraLovesFaVs:)) I'm due for another check on them...it has been about a week since I last checked:)

  • In fact, Seahue! They are extremely fast, but I have a secret....a PEANUT! I am starting to believe that no little beast on earth can refuse such a menu...;))

  • You are very right! It's amazing how popular peanuts are...I've even seen ants carrying away little pieces of peanut:D

  • Thank you! I agree..as long as they stay out of the house and the car vents I'm happy with them...my neighbor does all the farming but I do a lot of gardening which takes up time...luckily the valley I live in is covered with trees so it is a bit cooler...your comment was posted 18 hours ago... before the humidity made it out here...now it is very hot and humid!

  • Wow, Seahue, a gorgeous mouse female! Lovely big eyes and handsome little sons! I love mice as well... I am trying to make a video about "my" shrewmouse, it love peanuts, as well :)))))). Well done!

  • Thank you nutxlago. Very happy to hear from you:)) Good luck on filming the shrewmouse...they are very fast!:D

  • Looks to me like a White-Footed Mouse or a Deer Mouse. Where was the video taken?

  • Thank you. This vid was taken in eastern Connecticut which is leading me to believe it is a white footed mouse....according to the regional mouse map there are no deer mice in CT...though the way mice breed I highly doubt that:D

  • This is wonderful.

  • Thank you dogmother47:))

  • from Brasil : Obrigada a voce . Até a próxima !

  • Very cute! I love mice (and all rodents), and I've never seen baby mice before.

  • Thank you:D

  • from Brasil : Que beleza ! Parabéns Mamães ! adorável...Obrigada por este video . Saúde e Prosperidade !

  • Oi Brasil:)) obrigado!

    paz amor flora e fauna:))

  • Fabulous to watch ~ I really enjoyed this video : - )

  • Thank you:) I'm learning mice are very popular:D I wish they would come out in the daytime so I could see more of them:D

  • This is awesome story and wonderful video! I watched it few times. I hardly imagine how could you film all this story. Great video, many stars*********** for this one.

  • Thank you:) You know how it is with nature...stories like this 'just happen' out of the blue....I have two other bags of woodchips...I think I will just let them be for now:)

  • They are so cute. o.o

How do you get them so tame and use to the camera? I've been filming a family of voles and it takes ages just to get a glimpse of them after sitting there for hours.

  • Thank you:) You are lucky to see a family of voles...they are extra cute...I've only seen one. The mother trusts me because I didn't harm her kids and the kids trust me because everytime I check on them I leave treats;))

  • Great captures.

  • Thank you kclama:))

  • schön

  • Thank you:D

  • Mouse mum and the babies are awesome and no words to describe how I liked your captures. Mouse mum has a very cute face with big eyes & round big ears. What a joy to see how she carries here babies. At 2.30 another exciting thing to see.I think some ideal places for them to have their homes. What a lovely nature story you have shared with us.You are so kind to look after even Rats that most poeple don't like.I also had some Rats last year & they some how ended up in my kitchen cupboards too :))

  • Thank you Menu:D As long as the mice stay outside I'm ok with them;)

  • Mother's love. Nothing can compare. If there is a god let her be Mom.

  • Thank you:D

  • Awesome ! You´re a real animal-lover ^^

  • Thank you Bebuvvter:)

  • @seahue No problem ;-)

  • that is really sweet...but dont make them so nervous please, I think they are camera shy....Ohh one baby ran away...we also have mice in our garden, they are so tiny, I should film them too

  • Thank you:))

  • i always like seeing things like this; takes quite a brain to figure what to do and do it when "disaster" strikes. and what a nice bomb shelter!

  • Thank you floydstinkyboy...I was thinking the same thing...unlike humans mice use their brains to full capacity...

  • i always like seeing things like this; takes quite a brain to figure what to do and do it when "disaster" strikes.

  • Thanks for the mirror comment:D Makes me wonder if you have a clone of yourself sitting next to yourself doing the same exact things as yourself:D It is very rare for me to make it past 20 comments:)) Yaaaaa!

  • Excellent film making. You always find a story where most don't know where to look. Nature is great in the way it gives us a reason to film. Spring makes me glad to have a video camera. Something is happening all the time. It is funny how they make a home out of anything. Please keep us updated on them.

  • Thank you StarPir1315...yes spring is a very busy and exciting time...sometimes it is quite overwhelming:O

I look forward to visiting the mouse bunker after all this rain stops....it's been raining here in New England for 2 weeks straight! I miss the sun:D

  • ~ Hello Seahue ~

Momma looks like a White-footed Mouse (Peromyscus Leucopus)

    They are common in Connecticut.

When I went to use my grill for the 1st time this spring, I lifted the cover to find a hole chewed thru the center of my cooking glove and a baby mouse in it.

I put it in a box and under the deck, momma came later.

    Great video!

  • Thank you! I do believe you are right:) Thanks for sharing your story! It's amazing the places one will find a baby mouse:D

  • How do you keep them out of house?

  • Luckily my garden and the mouse 'bunker' is far from the house yet during the winter some mice find their way inside the house...they are easily trapped and relocated though:)

  • awe cute man! Good find! Hard to say both are similar. Some bit of info to pass along ...' they are best distinguished through red blood cell agglutination tests or karyotype techniques. The deer mouse can also be distinguished physically by its long and multicolored tail.' Wow you found lots!! I just saw more juvies myself today of previously posted animal.

  • Thank you Tstormer for the excellent info! I'm going with the white footed mouse:)

  • @seahue Sure my friend...I couldn't call it! Thanks for the confirm. They are cuties, glad you have em around.

  • Wow, what a find Seahue, and cuties.... Love how the mother was transporting the babies elsewhere.

  • Thank you:) I was surprised to see the mother went directly to the concrete stair and moved her family in with the other mother and kids. I didn't know mice got along like that...I learned that mice know their surroundings and neighbors well...better then most people!:D
