  • Awesome Misic....Really luv it ---- 26 Dislike people are mad..

  • Shankaracharya specifically mentions Bhagavad Gita because Krishna said everything the people of the world need to know and follow to attain perfection in their lives from wherever their position is in a nutshell.

  • @ramaraksha01 That is the specialty of those like Shankaracharya -- they are themselves liberated and they can also give liberation to others. Liberation means experiencing Brahmananda, the supreme happiness. And only those who experience it themselves can show others the way to experience it. Which is why Shankaracharya, Chaitanya, Tukaram, Ramanuja, and countless others are revered here.

  • Nobody can match this kind of devotion. Truly out of this world.

  • yes ,yes, yes real supper Bhajan geeth in M.S amma

  • This is our culture, this is Hinduism.. The entire world creation shown in 11 minutes!

  • Great composition by Adi Sankaraya. Thxs to him for doing such great work for Hinduism

  • I think if I strive to achieve 1/100th of perfection in my work as MS amma has achieved in music or Shankaracharya has achieved as a spiritual master or a as a poet, this life is worth while.

  • I am Hindu but I don't agree with most of the content of the video. If letting go of life gets u Moksha, who benefits? just one

How about people like Gandhiji, Nelson Mandela or Mother Teresa. These people did not worry about themselves, they spent the majority of their lives in the service of others

U do that by being involved with life

To me, Life is a Great Gift from God. Cherish it, nourish it, make a difference in the lives of others

  • Adi Shankara + MS = Divinity

  • Punarapi jananam punarapi maranam,

    Punarapi janani jatare sayanam,

    Iha samsaare khalu dusthare,

    Krupayaa pare pahi murare.

Thanks God (murari) he made our souls eternal

  • @VVAjayKrishna Life is a Great Gift from God. Me, yes i want to be born again & again

Unfortunately most religions have been taken over by the weak. Life is harsh, so let us all run away. christians & muslims have built fancy castles "upthere" run by a nice old gentleman who has nothing better to do than cater to billions of selfish cowards

Hinduism with the concept of Karma & Rebirth teaches otherwise. God is Here, Moksha is Here

Life is Harsh? Let us work hard, let us make it better

  • @ramaraksha01 Thanks for the reply Sir. I think I sounded a bit sarcastic in the comment but I had no intention to. I really like the concept of rebirth in Hinduism. I thank Lord Krishna, who quotes that our aatma is indestructible even we take multiple births and deaths. I have derived that our souls are eternal throughout the eternity and our journey continues forever. And it is exciting!

  • @VVAjayKrishna not at all sarcastic

I don't like the gloom & doom of life-life is harsh yes but to think out there something is better or if we pray to God He will deliver us from this is wrong

Karma & Rebirth also means that we are held responsible for our actions-a christian will beg & grovel his way to heaven, we can't. We must do right by the victim. U have a debt, pay it! U made a promise, keep it! Our work not done here, I am happy to come back

  • @VVAjayKrishna A christian's life is done once he moves on. I think Heaven is just a dream & as real as one. to think God has nothing better to do than cater to billions of selfish cowards running away from the harshness of life is silly

Which is better? Praising God, singing Her songs, doing Bhajans or Earning Praise FROM God? I believe Gandhiji Earned that Praise.

But Earning Praise From God is not possible in Heaven, only possible Here on Earth!

The Hindu way is Tougher, Harder!

  • M S Amma becomes the first and only Carnatic Musician to get 1 million views + in one video. Congratulations. And I also think she gets the most total views in all her videos too. It shows just what an epic impact her music has had.

Now I'm going to go do Bhaja Govindam....

  • @TheZaned wow..!! where do you find Rig veda?

  • @chaitanya2008raghav

I'm not sure my friend, but I'll keep looking and if I find anything, I'll let you know, but there are great websites for Mantrapushpam, the pancha suktams, Rudram, Bhagavad Geeta and other sacred texts. If you need the links let me know, they have great transliterations. If you wish to read them in english you want a transliteration. If you also want the meaning in english, then use books that are both translation and transliteration. But I think we should listen to cont..

  • @chaitanya2008raghav

Here is the link to the Rig Veda. My only wish is, if you wish to read the Rig Veda, don't recite them for the first year. Listen constantly to the recordings on Raaga or Youtube. Then recite them. That's why in my earlier comments, I specified the Sama veda. If you know where to find in, help me.

  • whenever i'm down i listen 2 this song, so that my battery ( life ) gets charged..

lifelong indebted to smt. ms subbalakshmi .. and ghantasala..

  • All the people who save materials and money for their children must listen. Since the meanings are given it is easy for all to follow.

  • Its Murali not Murari

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx ,

"Murari" is another name for Lord Krishna....... "Mura" was a serpent-deamon defeated by Krishna.....therefore he is known as redeemer of "Mura".......

  • The message of the entire Upanishads in a few words - like a pill for Cosmic Wisdom to dawn and to bring Light to the attached and deluded soul, lost in the dark and blinding corridors of worldliness.

    Pure radiance from Aadishankaracharya.

  • MIssing you MS. No one else would have done justice to this song. Adi Sankaracharya himself have had selected you to render this song.

The MTV generation really needs such teachings from the vedic hymns and sermons to build oneself and a better nation. Listen to hymns like these in ipod, read the vedic text in pdf . Exploit technology to attain spiritualism.

  • @srinivasbandaru Your condescending tone towards so called "MTV generation" is presumptuous. Not every1 is wild. Dont lump a whole generation of ppl into the same category because of some foolish people. Yeah we might be at clubs till 3AM sometimes but we are also at temples at 5AM some mornings. I personally have music from rappers like Eminem, Kanye, Jay-Z etc AND music from MS Subbalakshmi, Balamurali Krishna etc on my iPod. Stereotype and prejudice is the worst evil of all...go Google it!

  • @sammynalla fully agree with you. Divine praise is divine weather in Carnatic style or modern music. Still spiritual irrespective of material medium.

  • @sammynalla : I SO TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU !!!!! YOU COULDNT BE MORE RIGHT !!! SALUTE YOU !

  • Ikkada dislike ani kottinoodiki kallu lekapovachu papam

  • In this very underrated song Adi Sankara reveals his true secret identity as Lord Siva, the best of vEsnavas (vESNavAnAm yathA zambhuH, SB 12.13.17).

  • @vlddas nonsense, vaishnavites want him to be Lord Shiva because of his praising of Vishnu.

  • So you are not coming?

  • Thanks for uploading this video. This lovely composition from Adi Shankara keeps me grounded and blissful.

  • Thanks for the video, meaning & lyrics!!

Just a correction.... verse 30 is "Vihitaa ritihi'...

  • She is really a legend .I still remember my school days when i hear this song from PARTHASARTHY temple, triplicane, chennai, india myself and my sister go to tution and feel very happy listening to this song. When am doing my graduation i started to collect her collections in Copmact Disk (my old collections is on TAPES got outdated) i really feel happy whenever i listen to MSS voice. She is really a GOD's GIFT TO INDIA... i miss u sorry we miss you MSS so much!!!!!

  • If there were a human Goddess of purity and if she had manifest only as sound, she certainly was MS's voice. Such purity is unmatched and will remain so forever. I pray to God that MS's soul be always in Moksha and true to the meaning of one of the stanzas of this song, be free from Jeevanam and Maranam cycle.

  • @samirssathe "If there were a human Goddess of purity and if she had manifest only as sound, she certainly was MS's voice."

why is it that you must praise her by creating a similarity between her and a Goddess? a human is a human. A Goddess is a Goddess.

you are calling her a Goddess. another guy will see an attractive naked woman and call her a Goddess. so who is the real Goddess?

watch your words heretic. learn to appreciate a person for who they are. don't muddle their nature.

  • Heed the warning and worship Govinda before it's too late! Hari bol!

  • One of the greatest recitations ever heard! My salutes to Amma.........

  • i practically grown up listening to bhaj govindam...good to find it on youtube..thanx for uploading...much appreciated..

  • beautiful revelation of the eternal truth .. every time i heard this song, i felt a subtle greatness about it, the song's tune even without the meaning showed a profound urge for the realization of the self (thanks for the humility, a sense of non-attachment and pure devotion in the voice of mss!) .. i understand the song completely now! thanks for the translation!

  • superb!

  • the foremost preacher or mayavadam proclaims .... "BHAJA GOVINDAM"

  • @jeevakarunya aw...!!! i see....

but how does your grammer sense relate your comment..........!!!

  • @sindhujalr u read the video description, u will come to know.

  • Reminds me of my childhood days in Chennai. I heard this song being played by neighbors so many times.

  • To the few on whom the truth dawns, the Self inside and the Self outside are one and the same - the Universal Self. The tools and apparatuses make the perception/understanding imperfect. Imagine mankind's folly - they go through multiple samsaric cycles to "get it" and be released. Intelligence, Wisdom, Grace - the systematic progression to mukti.

  • i almost cry when i hear this song

  • Whenever I listen to this I always have a limp in my throat...tears in my eyes and a big smile on my face...Greatness absolutely...

  • MS is tops, but Shankara? He is awesome, and these are only ten verses listen to the whole lot of them...they are all you need to read to get on in life!
