I'm just wondering what is the reason of removing the text around the logo? How do you expect people to guess the name of the company?

This seems to be creating some confusion already as all designer friends and also Starbucks clients that I talked to seem to feel distant from this new branding.

I personally think the logo is too large and the usage of the white space is NOT taseful in the new branding. Sorry but TWO THUMBS DOWN.
