@h23kim That's the thing, there are a lot of inputs, but they are only for my headset and other things.

My audio interface inputs aren't coming up within the list (I'm assuming this because none of them work).

I have an Audiogram6 Yamaha audio interface, it's plugged in via USB and my mic requires phantom power because it's a large condenser mic.

I have everything plugged in and everything right.

Now my computer just won't recognize the input the Audio Interface should be using. :/

Please help.

@h23kim When you open up Adobe Audition, just leave it as it is. Now go to edit, and click audio hardware setup. It'll have edit, multitrack, and sound encoder tabs. Just stay on mutlitrack for now. It will say Audio driver. If you're audio interface pops up, that means it is ready to go. Also, remember to check if you have monitoring on because that also shows that your interface is working.

If you have anymore questions, please ask because I am more than happy to help you out.

that's a problem with ur latency you'll probably never get that sorted out unless you use an external soundcard/ usb interface . another option is to not monitor ur input but instead just have the music and put half ur headfone on to hear urself

I bought a mixer and switched it to my soundcard "Alesis io2". I get both signals at the mixer and sound card, I hear myself when I sing into the microphone. But I get no signal in Adobe Audition 3, and I got it before I install the sound card mixer. So now I can not record. What's wrong?

OR simplify your life and make your studio portable with an audio interface! i own a US - tascam 144 it cost only 150 bucks and puts out 24 bit high quality recording its easy to use and setup since its all usb, comes with your XLR connections for your condenser mic both l/r channels, digital out and midi connections plus 2 1/4 connections for instruments. or go with an mbox. either way its just easier using an interface.

for all those who are having issues with their soundcards lagging, the best thing that i can recommend if you are a serious artist is to either buy a better soundcard or audio interface. basically the reason why it is lagging is because your computer soundcard sucks. they have many options nowadays and if you still want to go with the traditional pci slot soundcards they have ones that are M powered so you can use it with protools for like 100$ with all the connections you will need for gear.

@YungZillaTv check your recording settings on your computer, make sure the wav recording is set at either the highest or most comfortable level that doesnt give you back a double negative aka put you in the red. right click on the audio icon on your pc taskbar, if need be put it all the way to 100 and see how it sounds. fuck with it until you find a good level that doesnt get distorted. hope this helps.

@YungZillaTv also i might add thats the downfall of usb mics. your mic is only as good as your soundcard. which is why i stuck to phantom powered xlr mics so you can use it at full capability. if you wanna use yours full, you need to get a really good pci soundcard. they are out there and are very inexpensive now since most people nowadays are going external...

hi i got a question i got a dj set with 2 cd players and a mixer with a kaosspad 3 now when i recored with adobe it recoreds but it doesnt pick up the effects from kaosspad dou u know why?

@drugzones because you dont have it connected through midi so its not picking up the effects from outboard gear. if you get some type of midi interface this would not be a problem just as long as your outboard gear supports midi.

@MegaJaySmooth you have to check the latency if it is set high, your soundcard probably cant handle it so try making the buffer size larger. its like running an application on a computer that has 512 ram, and the app requires a gig...also check your sample rate increase gradually until you get a balanced recording. i would fuck with the sample rate first then check the latency. as long as you can set that to normal you should still be able to get a quality recording. hope this helps

@tnixon2810 hmm.. when I record in my school's studio I use a headset so the background beat won't record twice, but I don't think it's such a big deal if the beat is on the recorded track too because it's in the same tempo and speed as the original track anyways.. but then it would be hard or impossible to edit it.. O.o So I don't know..

@tnixon2810 you have to check your settings of your soundcard first. check your recording devices and disable it from recording, right click on the little audio icon in your taskbar right next to where it shows you the time. BUT keep it on for playback. hope this helps

@MaKkIStYlEDxB once again this is an easily fixable problem that has to do with your soundcard. make sure the settings are correct for edit view and multitrack because they wont work properly if not set properly. Go to the edit dropdown, go to your audio preference and check both multitrack and edit view.
