  • Lupin died?!

  • LUPIN NO !!!!!!!

  • I cried when I saw this scene! HOW DARE J.K ROWLING KILL OFF FRED WEASLEY AND DOBBY!!

  • When i saw fred died i thought holy fuck why so saaad, but after i saw Remus and Tonks i couln't stop crying R.I.P !! ;(

  • I know that it's sad that Fred dies but the part that really gets me is Remus and Tonks. It's just... really much more of a sad situation. I think Harry felt what it would be like for their son to grow up without his parents.

  • I read that Rowling's decision to kill off Lupin and Tonks was compensation for sparring Arthur Weasley at the last minute in OotP. She also said that she always knew that Fred would be the twin that would die (so it was always planned?! :'C).

Man, with so many wonderful characters dying, this film/book had me sobbing like a baby. I still consider it (and Part 1) the best movie(s) in the series.

  • @BiancaVivian Harry did cry but he cried quietly Ron's was the loudest

  • again, WHY DIDN'T THEY GET AN OSCAR??!

  • poor tonks

  • i-is harry crying?Or is ron?Or is that just me?...:'(

  • omg i want to just kick myself right now...how is it that after all the times i've watched this movie on the television that NOW i figured out that one of the weasley twins died =0

  • poor gorge

  • i cry every time i see this :'(

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! so sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but thats wat i love about this movie, they are such great actors that it seems like fred did die, and they are his family, well oliver and james are family, but ya, so sad :'C

  • This is Sad D;

  • 0:24 Filch must have gotten injured trying to keep Death Eaters out of the corridors.

  • That is so sad!

  • I dont know about you gyus, but I started to cry like a baby when Ron was crying, it touched my heart </3

But Rons cry, sounded like laugh, haha :D

  • Was Harry crying when he saw Lupin and Tonks?

  • @tonzerHP Yes, he was crying

  • O:24 "Harry"

  • Tonks and lupin ),: "crying "

  • @UrFabFan4ever i saw that interview, i almost blew the movie by laughing infront of my mom. oops!!

  • I just cried when I saw Fred, it was like seeing my cousin die.

  • When I saw tonks and lupin holding hands I just lost it :'''''(

  • Lavender died too

  • Fred, Tonks, and Lupin weren't the only ones who died during this scene. I died from a tsunami of tears. :'''''''''''(

  • I stared laughing at Fred's death cause I saw a behind the scene thing where it said that the actor who played Fred fell asleep during the filming. But I started crying seeing remus and tonks.

  • No!!!! How could they do that to us? Tonks and Lupin were my favourite characters EVER!!!! I curse you, JK Rowling!!!!

  • @HermelienFreak Without J.K. Rowling there would be no tonks or Lupin..

  • after all his friends lie dead from his own fault, he went to his room, and went the way of kurt coabain, avada cadabra! jkjjkjkjk, i miss u harry potter :(

  • @TouchPeelStandMan it's Avada Kedavra, not Avada Cadabra lol

  • When I saw Fred was dead, I almost started crying. When I saw Tonks and Lupin, I couldn't stop crying :'( :'( :'( :'(

  • How sad, poor indian twin

    Tonks

    Lupin

    Fred.. :'(

  • TONKS!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!! Tht Indian twin died wtf aaahhh wtf

  • NOOO!!! I know I shouldn't have watched this video! It said "Remus and Tonks death" and now I'm crying... :(

  • I died.

  • well harry potter must feel pretty shitty on how he caused all of this.

  • BRB CRYING MY EYES OUT

  • i think the one who was being covered was lavender brown 'cause th e other ones looks like professor trelawney and parvati patil

    o.O

  • @koryente1 no, you see lavender dead on the bridge and ron looks at her

  • @SmileyLieutenantDan No it wasnt him. Unless he had a sex change. They said "shes gone".

  • @Gothikall It was a teacher that was rarely shown.

  • The sadddest scene ever...

  • They should have put tonks and remus holding hands or have Harry do it.

  • @chaoticXmisfit No, that would ruin it. It's worse to see then just barely holding hands than it is to see them holding hands. To see them holding hands would confirm they died together. This way, they didn't die together, they died trying to be together.

  • This scene, it was too much. I cry every time I see it. Every time the three of them walk into the Great Hall to do this, I start shaking because I know what's coming.

  • *0:39

  • @Gothikall Colin Creevey, the happy go-lucky photographer.

  • Who do they cover up at 0.39 ? I've always wondered.

  • I just automatically start crying when I hear George crying :'(

  • Harry..Epitome of Forever Alone

  • The saddest scene in history. Especially when seeing Tonks and Remus dead.

  • i was gone during this scene i never cried at movies at all until harry potter

  • James was actually asleep in their scene. James said when they were filming this scene he had actually fallen asleep

  • Can you upload the bit where voldemort talks to Harry about "you have allowed your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. There is no greater dishonor." that whole bit? I can't find it anywhere!! Please and thank you!!

  • O Harry bem que podia consolar a Gina,né?

  • Well any true brother would have a great deal of pain to see what it is like to have your brother die

  • Remus and Tonks deserved a better death. :l

  • @AideenRathnaitTV Failure from your part yes. There were many hints during the movie about who was Fred. And if you didnt pay attention to clothes when it comes to twins then you are just asking for trouble.

  • Lololololol I mean teared up not reared up lololol

  • It was too unreal actually seeing Fred dead, I had the same reaction in the book :( I almost reared up when George asked if Fred was ok, and they were on the roof....that was really sad.

  • pavarti died

  • Só no filme, porque no livro não.

  • @ohmyrowling96 Lets see... mother hugging the body crying, a devastated Bill and Fleur trying to comfort eachother, father crying, a sad Perry caring for his devastated brother and a little sister that is in shock. How is that not mourning? You have to look at their faces! And of course they are just standind there. What were they supposed to be doing?

  • I laughed when I saw Fred because if you search for this one video,he says that he fell asleep...but then I started to cry 1 millisecond later

  • Im seeing 7th years going well

  • R.I.P Remus Lupin, The Last Marauder :(

  • why Lupin???!!! I like remus lupin he was one of my favourite characters

  • Fred Tonks lupin WHY???? :'''(((

  • Comment removed

  • Great film, but this scene is real sad!

Tonks :'( (but also Fred and Lupin...)

  • Lupin and Tonks are trying to hold hands....

  • the girl that's right next to freds stretcher she's moving she's supposed to be dead

  • 1:13 WAHHHHH

  • When I first watched this scene I really didn't want to cry because of the people around me. I just watched this again, and now there are tears all over my homework...

  • @LOTRFanFromScotland Cmon they were good. The two things i didnt like was the inferi in halfblood prince and the Molly vs Bellatrix fight.

  • I didnt cry much when fred died but when Lupin did, that just got me D:

  • Thank just made me cry :'(. I feel so bad for Harry...because of Lupin :'(

  • I cry every time I see Remus :( the last Marauder has fallen -/3

  • 1:15 - the final Marauder. </3

  • OMG!

  • The Last Marauder :(

  • two boys closer to the screen are carrying Colins body.

  • @ladycplum the last part about the mirror I actually didn't know. That just made Fred's death even more tradgic.

And it also shows that Fred and George were the happiest twins alive in their first year. They didn't even desire fame or gold, something their family seemed lacking of. :'( RIP Fred

  • Is it just me or does any1 else start 2 automatically cry when they showed Remus lying there just dead D;

  • @maggie2008k I know :'( I can't help it they were my favorite characters and couple

  • I cant find that piece of music anywhere on the soundtrack, whats it called!!!???

  • I love this scene...wish it was more stuck to the book though. Well, they have to please both book and movie fans, so it must´ve been hard to do this scene justice.

  • @MrHelloparody I wish they had as well. I thought the last films were terrible compared to the books.

  • @farmerjamesfergus When a real person feels like that, they are in shock! It becomes too much for them and they dont know how to react! Every person with a heart can see what Harry is going through! I can see the pain you are talking about in his eyes! Dan did a good job!

  • If I was Harry at the point he saw Remus and Tonks I would have snapped and gone after Voldemort lol

  • when i was seven and read the philosophers stones and i read about Fred, I thought: damn his cool, hie's the best caracter in the whole Harry Potter story. Then, 8 years later, i read in the book how fred died, and that broked my heart

  • I hate how they don't tell you which twin it was. Obviously we know because we read the book, but it doesn't really say which one died. You're supposed to just know because their clothes are different, but who pays attention to that? My dad kept asking "So, which twin died?" *sigh* failure, absolute failure...

  • George definitely needed to be practically dead inside after Fred's death. Most people who see their twins dead suffer PTSD because of something like this. Crying over him wasn't enough.

  • I cried during this scene. I was heartbroken.

  • george died not fred

  • @Whitemaybenerdy Hello?! Have you read ANY of the books? It was Fred that died, George lost the ear... Fred died.... =(

  • @thaneshuffle oh ya my bad i havnt read it in forever my mistake

  • I really think they should have fleshed out Tonks, and her relationship with Remus. In the movies, we never really get a sense for who she is, and Lupin sort of loses his character over the course of the movies.

  • seen this movie at least a thousand times -still have to cry when i see fred lying there... :(

  • i think it was more of shock value, and also i think that since they had the Room of Requirement scene and Snapes death it was too much for people to handle

  • I heard that this scene was so short because Oliver was having so much trouble just seeing James pretend to die. I also heard that when James was reading the book that he started tearing up when he found out he was suppose to die.

  • @evilmonkeyactress james also mentioned in an interview he fell asleep while doing this scene and he didn't wake up until everyone went to lunch lol good old james

  • @evilmonkeyactress Really?

  • @evilmonkeyactress Emotionally, he could only do the scene five times. Seeing his brother lying 'dead' on the ground was too much. Probably the hardest scene he ever did.

  • @Amara389 probably the hardest scene he'll ever do

  • I actually don't think that was Lavender or Colin... I think it was one of the Patil twins wasn't it?

  • @GinnyWeasleyPotter96 Actually the Patils are still alive.

  • @snowpengproductions But I wonder why we didn't see Parvati in the film...

  • @ladycplum Hey beleive me, i wonder the exact same thing.

  • @snowpengproductions Maybe Shefali wasn't interested in coming back, or scheduling conflicts????

  • Potter all the way!!

  • WHY do i subject myself to this torture, watching fred die???? he was my favorite! and what makes it even sadder is that Oliver is actually living the part, too.

  • this was such a sad scene. Great movie!!

  • 0:40 that was Colin Creevy :( (Harry's admirer in harry potter 2)

  • @linkLoverAG didnt Trelawney say "She's passed" xD

  • @ThePetrificusTotalus idk i heard He but now that i think about it yeah but i think it was suppose to be Colin

  • @ThePetrificusTotalus unless Colin had a sex change XDDD

  • @linkLoverAG that would explain it xD

  • @ThePetrificusTotalus You people are awful XD

  • @linkLoverAG

Colin Creevy wasn't in the movies. Well, not in the later ones. It was an unnamed teacher that only appeared in the movies. Check the official wiki.

  • @linkLoverAG i think that was lavender brown

  • @TrishCenPinoy it might be I know in Harry Potter 7 he dies and at first it kinda looked like Colin to me but it might be

  • @linkLoverAG it was lavender

  • @linkLoverAG no it was lavender brown

  • @linkLoverAG :(

  • @linkLoverAG it was either parvati or padma that they covered up not colin

  • @A2S21000 Actually, it was one of the professors. I've seen a still photograph of the scene, they never named her, but it's the teacher who was standing next to Snape at the Yule Ball in GOF, the one in the red dress. You can see her most clearly when Karkaroff takes that really short woman out onto the dance floor.

  • @linkLoverAG it's lavender brown. you see her earlier getting savaged by greyback :( can't believe they killed her too

  • @linkLoverAG he died

  • @linkLoverAG nope its lavender brown who had died in the movie but not in the book

  • @linkLoverAG It's a unknown teacher of Hogwarts

  • @linkLoverAG no, it was lavender, in the movie fenrir killed her

  • @linkLoverAG That is Lavender Brown, the one who died from being attacked by Greyback and also Ron's shallow girlfriend in Prince. If you did read the book she and Parvati are particularly fond of Professor Trelawney.

  • @ladycplum @ohmyrowling96 You two need to develop a better understanding of peoples emotions as well.

  • @valkyria20chronicles No. The films fail to show the emotion Harry was going through in the books. People who haven't read the books will always fail to see the true emotion Harry felt. He felt so much pain and suffering, that he wanted to die, thus the stone appeared. Just as Dumbledore had planned. Dan and Yeates failed to show the true essence of that scene that we Potter book fans are aware of.

  • @farmerjamesfergus oh shut up!!

  • @ladycplum @ohmyrowling96 And when you experience tomuch pain and suffering your body shuts down. You refuse to accept it is real. Harry was feeling so bad that he didnt know how to react! He didnt want it to be true! Daniel did an amazing job! You just fail to see it!

And everyone with the gift of sight can see that the entire family is mourning Fred death!

And afterwards, werent they allowed to be happy that it was all over and talk to their loved ones who was still with them!??

  • @valkyria20chronicles Woah, calm down love! I know you might like it, but for me, this scene is just dead. George/Ron seem to be the only ones actually mourning. I wouldn't mind if the others looked the whole 'numb with pain' thing, but they're just standing there. Sorry if I wanted a bit more effort put into honouring the characters.

  • @ladycplum @ohmyrowling96 Listen the both of you. You got to remember that they had to adapt the movies to two audiences. Those who had read the books and those who hadnt. The deaths was set up so they would be an emotional shock to those who havent read the books. And it worked! They didnt mess up anything.

  • :'(

  • JK revealed two things about George afterwards that broke my heart even more. One, she said he was never able to produce a Patronus again for the rest of his life. Two, she said the twins had both looked into the Mirror of Erised while they were at Hogwarts, but thought it was a regular mirror since they just saw their own reflections. Then, a few years after the battle, George came across it again, and finally understood how it worked when he saw Fred standing next to him in the mirror. :(

  • @ladycplum Source?

  • @ladycplum the Harry Potter Wiki, if I'm not mistaken. And they're pretty thorough and accurate when it comes to their research

  • @ladycplum really??? when did she say that?? i'd like to read it :)

  • @ThestralRider22 I could swear it was the Harry Potter Wiki, or I think I might have just googled it!

  • when fred die i am crying!!!!!!!

  • 1:00 Who are the boy and the girl in the left hugging? Fleur and Bill?

  • @xSolum yeah :)

  • @xSolum Yep. Bill is crying and Fleur is comforting him :)

  • this is the only film ever which made me cry :'(

  • freds death always makes me cry... :/

  • Wow I didnt think Id get so many replys on the last thing I said. When I get mad I talk weird. But Im still not a big fan of harry himself. I read the series cuz of the characters around him who support him.

  • I STILL THINK THIS PART IN THE BOOK WAS BETTER THAN THE MOVIE! But i still like it and watch it over and over again. Im just a weirdo

  • i didnt see nymphadora tonks death

  • @ThePetrificusTotalus sry i didnt see her. thats because she is so different in the fifth movie then she is now

  • @12nfv Tonks's death was never revealed though Fred's death was. In the books it said how he died. Which is why so many people are annoyed it wasn't shown in the film. But I can see why it was left out - would have caused too much sadness.

  • Sad Scene!

  • @HorrorAddict23 Of course he was ashamed! How would you have felt!?

  • @lyta1lupinfan1 So of course he walked out. He felt he had no right to be there!

No offence but if you`re really planning to be a director someday, you need to develop a better understanding of good directing and peoples emotions. I`ve lost count of how many times ive watched this scene and it nearly makes me cry every time. And im a grown man! ( sort of)

This scene couldnt have been done better. It was even better than the book version.

  • @Lyta1Lupinfan1 Dont you see how amazing this scene is !? Cant you see Harrys pain!? And the deaths coulndt be better set up! Lupin and Tonk`s death was supossed to be a shock to those who havent read the book. And trust me, the 9 times i watched in the theater, this scene did its job. People were yelling "NO!" . And of course Harry walked out! He was ashamed! He felt it was all his fault that all those people died! He felt that all the pain and suffering was cuz of him. And it kinda was!

  • tonks and lupin....

    This makes me cry :(
