hi!i am from caloocan monumento.i am interested with your project.i am also trying to make a wind generator out of a stepper motor.do you thing stepper motor will work?
and by the way,how much wattage does your wind turbine can produce
Hey, shoot us a message. We have contacts in the Phillipines and can ship complete wind turbines there for very cheap (our Windtura 500 and Windtura 750). They come by ocean freight so it takes about 6 weeks but the price is about 10-40 USD per wind turbine depending on your location. You can check out our power production videos on youtube.
yes i am located in north caloocan 20min from QC. I thought about making a few extras for sale but still working on a motor the would put out the power out put need to charge batteries fast. I have a old coleman 3000 watt gen that i going to take apart and try using then gen motor from it and see what out up it gives
Great video and nicely build. My girlfriend is from the philippines too. Got some video's on youtube too about my vawt. Did not find the right generator for it tho. I got a bigger permanent magnet dc motor and made a hub and blades for it. Tested it yesterday with hardly any wind and got already 4 volts out of it. I'm hopefull it will work. Keep us posted with new stuff. Exciting to see your totaly off grid. Congrats. Wish i could do this too. Greetings from Belgium Erik
only one thing i can see that i might have done differently, that would be a larger gear behind the blade rotor that way the motor would turn even faster at lower wind, but thats just me, EXCELLENT JOB MAN!!
Awesome work man. I am planning on building one myself soon. Let me know what kind of power output you get because I want to connect mine to my house.
well so far in low wind speeds it put out any where from 12 to 15 volts. thats with a 2.5 to 1 gear ratio. i am working on a vawt now which is going to have a ratio of 16 to 1 with the same motor on it.
i just got them from the local hardware store. they have many different uses plus they are greaseable. With the shipping i am used to that buy now. seems to always cost more to ship a item then it cost and thats threw US mail which takes around a month or more. thanks. these is a trial one i have 2 larger motors that are going to be shipped here soon. then i will make a big one.
Where did you obtain the bearings from for the hub assembly I am refering to? Did it come out of something else? Wow how bout that more to ship the blades from us than the cost of them but all worth it. good luck.
where did you buy your generator... i relly really need it pm me asap plsss...

using 2 sets of blades with one generator in the middle would get you more power for less muns

no, too heavy. will need a lot of wind and i mean a lot. not worth the trouble. too much drag.
