  • What's the name of the song in 5:05 ?

  • I just love the remastered versions. They prove again that the Beatles were top of the tops, masters of the universe of pop ! There songs will live forever and ever ... Superb !

  • ''Wow!"

  • Technology, is one thing; growing up during one of the great periods in Pop Music is another. I was 10 years old when they first came to New Yorky. Great queuing up outside your local record shop; to buy the latest Beatles release, that you had never even heard before!

On my 11th birthday 11/28, I heard I Feel Fine coming out of a transistor radio; and after thirty seconds of play, was out the door, to buy it!!!! Beatles Forever

    Bloke1962

    Beatlemania Wintergarden

    (Rick-Drums- 1978)

  • I 4th degree black belt in Aikido (watch Steven Seagal)

so anyone who says anything bad about the band that I

grew up with, better watch out!

  • lol

  • Muy interesante. Me llama la atención que aún, en 2009, no ha sido oficializado todo ese maravilloso material de raras versiones de The Beatles que editaron sellos " piratas " en los años 90.

  • LONDON hosts the OLYMPICS in 2012..this year also marks 50 years the BEATLES walked into the EMI STUDIOS to tell GEORGE MARTIN that they (actually it was GEORGE HARRISON) do not like his tie...to mark the occassion the lovely island of ENGLAND should hold parties at the CAVERN CLUB, the ABBEY RD STUDIOS, ALBERT HALL and various tie outlets to recognise this event!

  • WOW!!

  • NASTY 8 bucks at target dude the most expensive album was the white album 16.99 WELL WORTH IT AND BEATLES ROCKBAND IS EXCELLENT AS WELL IF U BUY THEM AT TARGET EVERY 2 ALBUM S THEY GIVE YOU A 10$ GIFTCARD SO YOU PRETTY MUCH GET BUY TWO = ONE FREE GREAT DEAL

  • WOW eleanor rigby sounds so good

  • Are these worth it?

I'm a *HUGE* Beatles fan but I really don't have money coming out my ears.

  • Yeah well ringo needs another toilet in his mansion so you better get busy and buy them there recordings ....... well come on then Paul will be over soon to help with the renovations...

  • I think the surviving Beatles can be hardly blamed for something the music buying public has demanded..If there are any criticisms to be be laid on anyone it's EMI who won't (so far) release the 'mono' versions individually, and if it's only for a limited time that is noy good because I cannot afford an outlay on the whole set right now.

  • Are these previews all in stereo?

  • unless you're deaf in one ear, yes they are.

  • Wow, records making a comeback. I guess I am glad I kept my stereo.

  • Where did you get them? Today's the actual day of release, so how did you get them two months early? HMMM??? ;)

  • they are ripped from amazon look in the info section

  • This is almost as good as a Beatles revival! An early Merry Christmas to us all!

  • let's hope santa has good taste!

  • YES! WIN! i hope santa has good taste for me also

  • love or hate cd, this is by far the most amazing analog to digital conversion i have ever heard. it's tough to tell in this vid, but i saw one of "I've Got A Feeling" earlier and it blew my mind. i'm most likely going to purchase the box, but i won't be abandoning my vinyls anytime soon either.

  • Why would anyone want to listen to this on their computer or ipod? The CD's are going to sound 1000% times better! ESPECIALLY Revolver! That's the one I'm most excited about! Stay away from MP3 and get the CD's!!!

  • I could understand this comment if you had amazing equipment for playing CDs (good headphone preamps, etc), but I challenge you to tell the difference between the CD and a 320kbps vbr mp3.

  • There isnt really much of a difference. Unless you have really good play back equipment. You are right!

  • The sound of MP3 is worse. If you have mid and high end equipment you will be able to tell a difference. I have nearly listened to the entire Magical Mystery Tour remaster, and can tell a big difference between this and the 1990 CD release. I am listening with 24.99 Sony headphones.

  • forget hearing the Beatles in any quality until you hear them on vinyl. CDs and MP3's blow. Period.

  • I have the red and blue album on vinyl. What you just said is a matter of opinion.

  • Hardly. I'm not going to waste my time proving my point. You can validate the fact that analog is superior to any other sound transfer available by asking anybody with a professional background. Google it online for the layman's explanation if you must. It is a proven fact! If you must listen to the best, such as the Beatles, then you should hear them in the best possible format. Remeber, all music pre-1978 was recorded in analog.

  • I grew up on vinyl guy.Analog sounds way better than the digital format. CD's will always have compressed sound. CD is a convenient format. Because of that there are some draw backs to it.I was just stating that some people like the sound of CD. I try to listen to vinyl more. Thank you for the fact there at the end. Did not know that one.

  • agreed. the only good thing abouts cds were that they were convenient and you could play them anywhere. However, now you can buy a simple program for your computer that will transfer your vinyl to a cd with a cleanup function and EQ . It just takes time to do it. A true labor of love, but worth it for the purists. Your ears will thank you.

  • I have a mid grade sound system in my living room, and a direct drive turn table. That is fine.

  • im 15 and i think vinyls are cooler than cd , cds are rubbish sound good but rubbish also a big cd collection looks cheap and nasty! Now time to save up to get all the beatles LPs !:)

  • Awesome dude. There is just something special about putting a record on the player. Putting the needle on the record. CD's you just pop them in fastforward, and can skips songs easily. Just too convenient to me. Not a bad format though. Ebay, and Craigslist have Beatles LP's for sale. I suggest going to local record shops if you want them much cheaper. ROCK ON!

  • Yep Vinyls are just so much cooler. And i wont be getting any till im older though :D ROCK ON TOO!!!!

  • Danny, another wonderful thing about vinyl was the size of the artwork. I loved to buy an LP, and would sit to sudy the artwork as I listened to the music. The Record's jacket would often also be pretty cool to look at.

    Yes, I miss vinyl too!

  • Vinyls provide a warmer, richer tone. But they only sound good new. As they age, they begin to sound like crap.

  • No shit.

  • Ok?

  • That 'warmer, richer tone' is arguable, my friend. ;) The sound of a rock dragging through a ditch isn't my idea of pleasant background noise for music, personally. But that's just me.

Make no mistake, I LOVE Vinyls for what they are, but I do prefer the 'cleaner' sound of CDs when it comes to leisure listening. Vinyls are too much hassle to manage and keep up.

  • It's not the age unless vinyl is left unsleeved and in the elements (cigarette smoke, airborne grease from cooking, dust, etc). Vinyl, styrene, shellac and the other compounds records are made from don't break down. Excessive playing, bad styli, improper handling, improper cleaning, etc., will cause a record to sound like crap

  • In theory, records actually the perfect music storage medium. The content is ageless as long as the record is stored properly.. Although I prefer vinyl to digital, the problems with vinyl are low frequency rumble and some wow and flutter issues. A lot of this comes from the play surface which is never perfect and the way sound has to be "bent" (RIAA curve) in order for audio to be cut into a record.. My favorite medium is half inch tape (reel to reel) but these slowly degrade

  • especially early things sound great here

those remastered in late 80 sound horrible

  • Exactly!

  • thats not the revolver version of and your bird can sing... them giggling and laughing during that song MADE IT!

  • It is funny,

the guy on the BBC yesterday said the original CDs were released in 1992, not 1987/88!

Very funny that he could not get his facts straight!

All you have to is look on the case!

  • Then why does Amazon say that The Beatles albums on CD were released in 1990?

  • Because Amazon is not perfect. My Sgt Pepper CD says: 1967 EMI RECORDS LTD. 1987 EMI RECORDS LTD. 26Feb1987:First 4 CDs released (PPM,WTB,AHDN, BTS) 30Apr1987: Next 3 CDs released (H!, RS, & R) 01Jun1987: Sgt Pepper CD Released (20 years ago today! Sgt Pepper LP was released on 01Jun1967) 24Aug1987: White Album & Yellow Sub ST 21Sep1987: Magical Mystery Tour 19Oct1987: Abbey Road & Let It Be 06Feb1988: Past Masters V1 08Mar1988: Past Masters V2
  • That should be: BFS (Beatles For Sale), not BTS.

  • I figured that. Just was a question really. Amazon seems to have other dates wrong as well.

  • The regular stereo remasters will have just a pinch of compression. The mono remasters (only available in the ALREADY SOLD OUT mono box set) will be completely compression free. I've read that EMI is manufacturing more of the mono box sets to meet the great public demand.

  • stupid fucking compression.

  • It sounds OK, but the same of the old releases. The good news, it's only because the youtube compression and the quality of the Amazon's clip.

So I'm hopeful with the Remasterd Edition.

    :D:D:D:D:D:D

  • I listened to this with my ipod, using headphones, and you can tell the difference a little better that way

  • Damn why not on DTS?! Why?!?!?! LOL

  • In spite of the compression used by YouTube, it's easy to say that some songs (specially from Revolver and White Album) has more deeper bass than the 80/90 editions CDs.

I hope they have not brickwalled as in use to do nowadays...

  • I think these are the 64kbps MP3-files from Amazon...nice compilation! I think you really can't say anything about the sound quality if the sound has been compressed.

  • you can't tell anything about sound by listening to a ytube video. what will it sound like on a uncompressed system?

  • These sound like the 80's CD's. Taxman has that horrible seperation where the choppy rhythm guitar is only in on channel. And the other is dedicated to tambourine and the whole thing just sounds too light and unbalanced. Eleanor Rigby has Pauls vocals coming out of one side only on the verses.... too separated. Please tell me this isn't the real remasters we've been waiting for...!

  • Well, they didn't remix the original albums, they just remastered the original album-masters...

  • Yeah, sounds no different to what ive always heard & ive been collecting Beatles since i was a little boy in the late '60s ! They could have at least 'Remixed' them as well to sound as good as 'All you need is love' sounds on 'LOVE'.Also could have done 5.1 sacd surround sound. The only reason i want to buy is to have ALL the Mono mixes on cd particularly 'Pepper','Mystery Tour' & 'White album'.They could have put Mono & Stereo on one cd too for better value.Trust EMI to still be behind !

  • Remasters are not the same as remixes. They won't change any of the left-right balances as that would entail an entirely new mix.

  • Yeah i get that now, i guess I got a bit excited. I never liked some of those stereo mixes, especially where the drums and bass were not panned centrally. I think i'll get the mono remasters.

  • IF YOU CAN GET A MONO BOX SET! Don't know if you've noticed but every website imaginable is sold out of their pre-order stock for the mono box set. And now the stereo one is sold out too! There was only 10,000 made apparently for the U.S. market. I've just read that EMI is now trying to meet the demand for the mono box set and will be manufacturing more. But damn if it hasn't made some of us Beatle freaks break out in a cold sweat!

  • Thanks for posting this. It helps allot. White Album sounds great.

  • Some of that, are even amazing! Cool!

  • on youtube, yes but wait until the real deal is out. from its original source in .wav format to amazon streaming audio to my pc to youtube it has been compressed greatly from the .wav file, losing detail, depth, and high and low frequencies. anyways though, have a nice day!

    Brandon Benyacar

  • not to mention, they already over compress songs when they are remastered. for volume, pfft. i'd rather hear john lennon whispering than yelling through a megaphone in front of a microphone hooked into a first act amp with the gain on 11. i'm sticking to lp's man. i'm just a teenager and i know better than to buy the remastered box set.

  • after comparing these to their 1980's "remastering" counterparts... they literally sound exactly the same. i think they may have turned up the instrument levels slightly but otherwise i can honestly not tell a difference.

  • What? Listen to that... new ROAR on Taxman!!!
