  • The scope of this beautifull rifle, does it have mildots or how does the scope look?

  • @DLemre .. it's a round with basic crosshairs no mildots or anything. just your standard crossed lines.

  • are you getting wood touching it?

  • you are very redundant lol

  • @leebeaux3 .. yeah I bet I do sound reduntdant. heh better to have the info out ther ethan not though i guess. didnt have notecards or anything and just said all this crap off the top of my head. i still have this rifle and I love it so much.

  • Hows the recoil ive havent shot a 30-06

  • @macdaddysal ...recoil is very manangable. heavy but doable. magnum 12 gauge hurts more. 30-06 is like being pushed back, not kicked.

  • I have this rifle he's kidding the bolt is amazing!!!!!!

  • people get all nostalgic about the pre-64's.......trust me, Winchester made a lot of pre-64's that were lemons.....they're over-hyped

  • wheres the rest of the trigger gaurd

  • @TopOfTheLine3 ..for awhile winchester used pot metal alloy for the trigger guards and they would often break just like mine. I am still looking to replace it. Not high on my list to do but will get done someday.

  • you mean pre 64... turn the stupid fuckin music off

  • wow amazing gun!

how much was the gun and where did u get it from?

  • i got a 700 remington 30/06 with scope mine has juled bolt. nice gun you got. maby ebay gots trigger guards ...

  • Mate I'm with you on the timber stocks and blue steel, got that on practicaly all my rifles. Too bad we cannot own ar15's here. I prefer the remingotn 700, but I won't knock your choice, the winchester 70 is a good one too. I'll end up buying one one day Im sure.

  • is that the super grade?

  • Made in Japan? Put a Leupold on that Winchester and come back home Komoto.

  • @alhovde19 ...vintage japanese optics are of high quality.

  • @alhovde19 The world of scopes does not begin and end with Leupold. As mentioned... the older Japanese optics are of good quality.

My M70 is wearing a Swarovski though.

  • its a really nice looking rifle... but i cringed when i saw that trigger guard cut.... it just ruins the look. also that isnt very safe to have it that way. also why in the hell would you need tracers? tracers are for machine guns not regular rifles....

  • @BurroBurrito1 ..hey, sorry im a month late on your comment. i didnt see it til now... it isnt cut, the weak metal snapped from a blow or fall. winchester cut some corners in the post '64 rifles, and used pot metal as the trigger guard. they were notorious for that around the 70's till they started using better materials. as soon as I find a steel or high quality plastic guard, I'll install it,

  • that rifle looks like a piece of shit. and tracers destroy barrel

  • @MyEbuck .. too bad this is a tack driver. upload a video of your guns, not those video game ones you have up that make you look 12.

  • @67mustangreg whats wrong with being 12?

  • lol he likes wood, hard smooth wood

  • 30-06 doesent kick all that hard I got mine when i was 12 it kicks just a little more than a 20 gauge

  • Hey Greg,

What about the brand-new ones made in S.C.? They're said to be better than the pre-64s. Any advice?

  • We can't rifle deer hunt in Illinois :(

  • @slowride55 ..really? Damn, well can you use shotguns? I picked up a SWEET remington 870 12ga slug gun this week in nearly mint shape, has rifle sights and a 20" slug barrel and removable scope mount. Will be making a video review on it later.

  • @67mustangreg Sweet! Haha cant wait to see it! Yeah we can use shotguns, on 2 weekends out of the season. THATS IT. But we can bow hunt all season long.

  • @slowride55 it blows here in IL. I have a Ruger M77 Mk II .270 win, with nowhere to shoot the fucking thing!!!

  • @slowride55 hahahaha ik that sucks

  • how is the kick on it i want to get a 30-06 too but never shot one so is the recoil hurt or is it real bad btw i'm only 15.

  • @mattfoor ...My russian M44 mosin nagant hits harder. If your a teenage boy you should be able to more then handle it. If for whatever reason you cant, a rubber recoil pad is only like ten bucks. 30-06 is fun to shoot and I'm actually addicted to recoil.

  • @mattfoor all i can say is be ready i shot 30-06 last week shot a deer it knocked the deer over got back up and fell back over so it has a hell of a kick

  • I use one in .257 roberts

  • Great rifle, but how does this model reload? Stripper clips. en bloc clips, or just removing the spent cartridge and reload by hand?

  • @MrMoros1 ...it has a box magazine with a floor plate.

  • @MrMoros1 reload by hand it takes a good 5 to 6 sec to releoad a spent cartlige with a new one

  • Problem with those is the pot metal floor plate and trigger guard. Winchester fixed a lot of the problems, With the XTR's my view a much better rifle. As for that ammo, its corrosive so you clean it well by running a lot of hot water thru the bore and use a lots of hoppe's # 9 and then dry and light gun oil on a patch. If you over look its short comings and that rifle has a few then tend to shoot well once you get the betting and trigger worked over some. Good truck rifle

  • i have almost exactly the same rifle and i love it and btw nice music (silverstein- my heroine)

  • @wpw36 ..good ear,gotta love silverstein

  • Cool. What purpose does the jeweled bolt serve?

  • For looks only. It makes the difference between a working man's rifle and a "nicer" rifle.

  • @mmz77 to look badass
