this was HARD back then, str8 thug, real, subway, new york, bboy, real block head, clockers, real street hip hop, gang, crew, making money, high rise projects, 4 real hip hop!
Aint but one thing to say about real hip hop. Word!!!!! These young cats are totally deprived of the 808, lyrics and soul... Aint no soul in today's hip hop..
Showing my age but used to listen to rap growing up this came out when I was in the 7th grade great jam had it on a mix I recorded from Magic 102 FM back in the day here in H Town. 713 :)
THIS I WHAT I CALL OLD SCHOOL MUSIC......REAL MUSIC NOT LIKE TODAYS GARBAGE!!!!!!THOSE WERE THE DAYS.......UNLIKE TODAYS MUSIC THIS WILL NEVER GET OLD
DEFINITELY, funky fresh!!! Old school hip-hop is where it's at. The 1980's was the best decade for sure. 1978-1990 is the period for the ultimate rap.
The roof! the roof! the roof is on fire!!...we don't need no water, let's !hahahaha....good memories are made of stuff like this....what an awsome decade the 80s was!
"Like a panty-raid night at an all-girl dorm ... " Point blank - it doesn't get any "fresher" than this & sadly it more than likely never will ... The 80's hip-hop era was the epitome of "fresh" - new, creative, unprecedented & innovative; pushing all barriers (and woofers) until we danced our a**es off ... Mad love to those who represented - your legacy will never perish & for those who still jam to 80's hip hop, I'm feelin' you ... Peace, peoples
@lemonproject what a fitting name. Are you still alive from a month ago? Or did your depression cause you to find a .25cent solution to all your problems? Don't be so sour, Hip hop is a Steardy Hoe. She just needed a lil Louis Pasture Moment in the 90's, and now she is getting out of rehab. She had a lot to live for and look forward to.

Tr 808 all the way on this joint! the Tr 606 didn't have handclaps, cowbell, or rimshot. MC, scratching, and beat machine no keyboards, gitar, strings, or horns. thats classic hip hop!!!
@bqe1985@thesingle38 NO DOUBT!!!!!!!!! the BEST times, not like todays JUNK, all SEX ,DRUGS,VIOLENCE crap we get brainwashed with.... back then it was spinning FREASH BEETS, and dancing!
"Those where the days" nice to have The Internet to keep the 'MEMORIES" aLIvE
'85 was the year I graduated from junior high and starting high school in Newyork but moved to southwest Miami instead. I remember there were about 5 or 6 of us from New york in my new school in southwest Miami that used to blast this song in our residential upper class neighborhood, while all the other kids were into newwave and GQ stuff, like Miami Vice, ha ha ha
I miss that whole Sleeping Bag records line-up man, these cats TLa Rock and Just-Ice RIP Juggy Gales.I dare ANYBODY to tell me the 80s wasnt the best decade.

Hip hop does not exist anymore because it does not contain the esential elements of the scratching and samples, of old school from the 80's.
