  • Im putting a 3 1/2 pulley in the back and a 6'' in front will it make mine go fast?.Im not trying to get too deep into this i just want to make my mower go faster what do u think

by the way man your videos are very helpful thanks alot and happy holidays

  • @MrRutless1 yeah it will no problem and same to you happy holidays

  • @MrRutless1 hi i just got my self a ride on that i fixing up i got a problem i cant get it to run it fires up but wont keep running i just woundering if u can help me out .. it dont have the bottom pulleys on it doses that mater thanks

  • Mine is a briggs and has that setup but im lookin to put a bigger pulley on front where did u get that pulley in your video

  • @MrRutless1 this is a Heavy Duty Cast Iron Vbelt pulley i got it from MFG Supply and there pricey

  • What size shaft ur engine have is it 1'' if so where can i find one?

  • @MrRutless1 briggs and stratton engines come with 1" shafts as for were to find a motor with one look on craigs list or ebay.

  • when i try to turn the front screw to undo the front pully, the whole thing turns. but urs didnt in the beginning when you had that drill. my mower is a toro wheelhorse. please help

  • @Jonomanono the tool is used a a impact gun you can do it with out it tho. What you need to do is to stop the flywheel from turning so it will not spin and you will get it off.

  • wow thank you soo much... i had a feeling that was the fix......but can you tell me how to make the vari drive system work perfectly, because right now it doesn't vary the drive so good. even with the regular size engine pulley, all the linkages are sloppy, the rear belt tensioner grinds against the trans pulley, and it's twisting/eating belts(very old , cracked shitty belts, but i don't wanna get a brand new one till it's fixed.)and like i said, it doesn't "vary"the "drive "so good. any ideas?

  • @ismokewead420 the belts are probably stretched and that is why your rear idler pulley is grinding. also make sure all the linkages going to the vari drive are not bend and make sure the vari drive is well lubercated and not rusted if it is that could be your very problem.

  • @V8Mike93 i will check the belts.the vari drive pulley is fine, but the i think problem is that it has been used and abused, and needs to be adjusted. all the sloppyness in the linkages needs to be tightened up, because when you operate the controls, they just flop back and forth through most of their travel, and right at the end of their travel, they do something, but not much. i need somebody to tell me all the points in the speed control system that get sloppy after time so i can tighten up e

  • @ismokewead420 sounds like a rusty spring on the vari drive no returning and keeping tension so its not flopping around

  • hi i was wondering if this is a vari drive, with cvt pulley.. i have one, and did a pulley swap and now the cvt system doesn't work because the front belt is too short to disengage from cvt pulley... any help? cvt also doesn't work well, stock or swapped. you put the lever in 1, you get slow, then you put it in 2, go a lot faster, then past 2 it is just maximum ratio. probably to do with the belt lenngths,?do you know how to "tweak" and adjust all the linkages and shit to get it to work right??

  • @ismokewead420 ok this is a old video VERY old in racing we do not use Vari Drived but you can. What you need to do is find out the size of the stock belts top and bottom then if you switched the front and or rear pulley add 1" for every inch you increased the size of pulley.

  • whats the name of that song and who sings it please?

  • @120upperoom Artist: A Thousand Knives Of Fire song Leeds County Devil"

  • @V8Mike93 , Thank you so much for your time and kindness. I love this song.

  • were can i get that pulley

  • I live in Canada and I'm wondering where i can get a set of pulleys for my racing mower?

  • there is a key that goes in the front and rear pulley right? and on mine there is a cotter pin thats on the transaxle thats so rusted in there i cant get it to even crack loose with a hammer any suggestions? my next thought was heat er up with a torch and hammer down..

  • @xman22dis Load it up with Wd-40 or PB Blaster and let it sit for a day than try getting it off if not then you need to get a angle grinder or a small cutting blade and carefully cut the pin holding it on.

  • where did you get that front pully???

  • @roskamate email sent

  • so in other words a bigger pully in the front and a smaller pully in the back will increase speed.

  • @seth14born95 Correct

  • i try to get off my double puylly and it dont budt

  • @FordF150Trucks put loads of wd-40 or PB blaster on it bottom and top of the shaft it will take time but it will come off if you have another question just ask.

  • @V8Mike93 lol thanks got er off took a while but had to pri it off finally got it

  • @littleman372008 the pullet cam off with the bolt i used a impact to take it off and no its not a new motor its a 96 Briggs 14hp and if you want to take off the double pulley setup then you find a socket to take it off with if it will not come off then you can spray some WD-40 on it and let it sit if you need any more help just feel free to ask.

  • how did u get a the two pulleys off or is that a new motor

  • @XxJareebxX yes i am aware of that but it also has a nice v belt fit and every one at my track uses these you can find them at

  • you do know that pully is for a electric motor?

  • coolness that tractors gonna be sweet

  • @TractorMan4Briggs yes i t is a cast iron pulley i originally bought this for the toro which is in pieces

  • is that one of those cast iron pulleys?
