i really like how clearly chapin vocalizes his actions; leaves no question as to what he's doing. i wish the players at my local FNM games would be so articulate.
@purklefluff I never said it was bad. I shouldn't have said skillfull (I made the comment a year ago when my knowledge of magic was very limited). Just wasn't a good comment to make
@whydoesthismatter very gracious of you to reply as you did. thanks for being a minority on youtube =P.
but yeah. storm combos have a habit of either winning or doing nothing. at least in other decks there's an in-between because the individual cards can affect the gamestate. so i know what you mean =P
I'm glad uri won. If Dragonstorm won 2 years in a row i'd quit magic and kill myself. It's a great deck, but it is the feces of all tournament level magic decks in my opinion. Peleg also revolutionized TWO formats with his deck. Doran Rock is the deck to beat in Extended now too.
Well, Dragonstorm used to be the thing, but it would've been dissapointing to see Dragonstorm win 2 years going. I mean, if that happened, then everyone would start using Dragonstorm. I'm still a fan of Dragonstorm, and use it to this day, but I also like the fact that not many other people use it because of this loss, so I was both glad and upset that Uri won. =]
I wouldn't really go with that. I mean, Dstorm was one of the best decks around, but the four knolls it provides are not really that reliable to trigger the combo. The old one was still better.
Plainswalker is just too cheap...
why do they have to come up with this idea...

Amanisawesome 3 years ago 10
I think playing a consistant better deck is more wise and skillful then relying on storm combos
whydoesthismatter 3 years ago 2
@whydoesthismatter depends on the deck =). chapin's deck was good enough to get to the finals of worlds so it can't exactly have been bad, can it?

Chapin got unlucky with his draws... whenever he needed something he didnt get it.

i think that Uri Peleg's Green black aggro is better than the dragonstorm by way ton.

I wish I knew what was going on in this video.
I used to play this about 3 or 4 years back...when did they start using dice?
juventes 4 years ago
dice are used for counters for land(shown in this case), or to show how many +1/+1 counters are on a creature, etc.

You can play pro as longa s you have a DCI card anda 2035 DCI rating OR you win a PTQ or a grand prix, that gets you invited to 1 pro tour.

doran was a card destined to be broken
its one of THE most efficient creatures in the game

It's also fun to bellow "DORAN, THE SIEGE TOWER!" at the top of your lungs.

@Fordrice No. IT's not that great actually.

I respect the bald!!! he's the best, even if he lost. Uri had just a massive dose of ass in the last match.

I'm actually kind of dissaponted that mannequin didn't win, it's undoubtedly the best deck out there.

I think that uri playing cloudthresher prevented pretty much saved his life, otherwise the dragons would be shooting fish in a bucket
M1crosftoverS0ny 4 years ago
the thresher AND the ''so random hypnotic specter''
to be honest... this match was pure luck, patrick had no burn xept the kites and the other guy had flyer blockers... thats so rand
tbkColiss 4 years ago
I think the term is "Fish in a barrel". But you're right.
Kentaro21 4 years ago
dang, tight one, close! yea it was funny flipping the last card^^ and lucky!

Chapin had it won if it wasn't for that lucky hypnotic spector draw.
