  • She wrote her name backwards? whys that confuse me? :P

  • @tommykaneo because I'm left handed I find it hard not to smudge the paint writing it normally so I write in graphite and then paint over it backwards :-)

  • That. Is. Beautiful. U definetly have alot of talent

  • @HorseComeTrue13 thank you!

  • Horses and hands are crazy difficult.

  • @Bak3dB3an definitely with you on the hands being hard!

  • woWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweewwseeeeeeesww

  • Wow.... That is stunning.

  • @517HorseLoverLane thank you!

  • the mane?

  • @TheDemethar polo ponies generally have their manes hogged (clipped off!), to avoid them getting in the way during the game.

  • I love how in the one part you must have had your window open and you can see just how long you were working on it because the sun went down lol

  • You are so talented! I am a left-handed person, too!

  • preciosooooooooooooooooo!!! felicitaciones!!

  • Hey ! What did you use to paint that ? Pastels, oil paint or what ? i'd really like to know :D

  • @Ohlala1205 it's in oil paint on canvas :-)

  • Thing about timelapse paintings I enjoy is seeing the process; obviously., but there are so many times often, when I see these kinds of things that I think, wow! this is beautiful, I'd leave it here, not risking messing it up somehow. But this just shows a wonderful patience fra the artist - I also noticed it must've taken a few days to get it done. I just dont have that kind of patience. To me it's got to be finished in a matter of one day tops, or I'll paint over it with the next days idea...

  • @Soumarthi funny how we are all work differently- I often admire the work of artists who work more all prima and wish I could work better that way :-) This took a few weeks but I am always impatient to get to the next stage and finish paintings too! ;-)

  • this is amazing, and i love how you take criticism and turn it into nice things<3

  • That was incredible. You are amazing... thank you so much for sharing.

  • at 3:50 to 4:15 you can see the sun go down lol love the painting

  • So that was absolutely amazing, wonderful to watch but I have to ask, at the end there did you sign your name backwards?

  • Comment removed

  • @AllyGATOR514 Thanks! Yes I do sign my name backwards! I'm left handed so it stops me smudging the paint as I go! I handwrite it lightly in pencil and then go over with paint over the top...

  • Such a beautiful dreamer. Brilliant piece! Bravo.

  • OMG AMAZING!! so much talent with oil paints too!

  • very cool! without reading the description I thought you were using acrylics becuase of the way you glaze over colors, but you work with the oils really well! Really gorgeous painting, I especially like the details on the head :D

  • I would buy it!

  • This is a joy to watch!!.. stunning!.. thanks for sharing.

  • Excellent painting! you have an amazing way of stamping your signature =) very original, congrats

  • Waauuuuuu Laura, it´s AMAZING. You really have talent:-)

  • Personally not a fan of using pure white and black to create shades...

  • @MrElestial Thanks for your feedback :-) Believe me, there is PLENTY I would do differently if I was to paint this again now, always learning with each piece and I'm sure always will be! These time lapse videos are not designed to be in any way educational or 'how it should be done', they are just for fun and an interesting way to record my progress as an artist :-)

  • @LauraBarberRiley For Sure

  • Sorry not in respect of white and black in respect of learning with each piece. For shades chromatic black is good ultramarine blue plus earth colour raw sienna etc

  • @MrElestial hi what colors should you use to create shades instead of white an black?

  • this is amazing!! The detail on this horse is just mind blowing!! well done! =)

  • @TheHorseMentalist Thank you! :-)

  • Amazing to watch.Fantastic finished painting,

  • @AL9862 Thank you very much!

  • Are you using a linen canvas and how you start by laying all dark tones the waiting for that to dry adding the highlights?? I need to because I'm painting a Horse with angel wing im still not a expert on oil painting??? So what are your steps in apporaching this painting? And how long did it take you to do? Thank you. By the way your Painting is Beautiful!!!! :)

  • @KaylieMarieJay Hi there, this canvas is a cotton one but I generally use linen, gessoed and sanded until smooth. I usually put highlights over a fresh glaze of transparent colour before it dries, but not always. I'm no expert, I just make it up as I go along really and learn with each one I do. My approach is just to build up detail, depth and colour with each layer. This one took about 20 hours of actual painting time over the course of a few weeks. Hope your painting went well!

  • wonderful..I love it

  • @ruffsilver122 Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!

  • the eye was good but everything else was disproportionate.

  • @MrBigbear777 Thanks for the feedback

  • Very awesome! I love seeing how artist's create their work. This is beautiful :)

  • @SilverFlameWanderer Thank you, it is interesting for me watching myself too funnily enough! :-)

  • Wow! That was fantastic!

  • you have talent:D great job

  • Thank you all!

  • Superb painting Laura and video!

  • That is truly incredible!

  • Amazing! Laura you have an outstanding talent. I love the two sections where you can see the shadows moving across, and the fact you sign your name backwards! I never knew you were left handed. It just goes to prove it is the sign of a genius :)

  • Excellent Laura! Great vid and lovely painting, it was nice to see it come alive :)
