  • neat. kinda sounds like pac man eating ghosts lol

  • wierd fire alarm

  • @ZarsasCostumes it's in japan.

  • i think its a drill hint: there is a fire there is a fire on the first floor. the alrm goes by where it was turned on the first floor is where the main office is and they have the button to legally turn it on

  • sounds like a gunie pig squeeking lol

  • Hey, I"ve noticed that you activate a Japanese fire alarm by pushing a button reading "PUSH," rather than pulling a handle (North America) or breaking a sheet of glass (Europe and Australia).

  • Yes you're right, here in Australia we have the buttons protected by a sheet of glass, and you need to break the glass in order to activate the fire alarm.

  • were you about to get in the elevator

because your not supposed to when there is a FIRE!

  • tell that to the person actually in the elevator going up at 0:40

  • rofl

  • JAPAN RIGHT ?

  • YOU BET!

  • They have better fire alarms.

  • Do you have any more? Or was the camera turned off at that point? It sounds like a gradual evac.... evacuating one floor at a time.

Would like to hear the full thing in decent volume.

  • 本日(10/4)放送の「めざましどようび」内で、煙探知機について紹介しました。

  • There is no tension in this sound

  • haha that is the gayest alarm i have ever heard

  • gay alert gay alert lol

  • thats a weird alarm and what system is that

  • it must be something japanese. i know Simplex sells in Japan, because i saw a picture where there was a TrueAlert in Yokohama. this may be a Simplex, but then, it might actually be a NohmiBosai... maybe. i'll have to check their site for voice evac stuff; last time i checked, they didn't have ANY. their smokes, though, are rebranded System Sensor stuff. i think their bells are, too.

  • pretty cool fire alarm

i would kindof laugh in the beginning then freak out XD

  • That alarm sounds pretty convinced it's not a false alarm

  • creepy

  • what a weird alarm

  • there is a fire , there is a fire (i know there is a fire!)

  • Certainly a lot quieter than the Fire Alarms @ my school!

  • 大丈夫でしたか??

    怪我はありませんでしたか?

  • For some odd reason the voice the alarm has scares me...

  • Thats to get you out quicker...

  • weird alarm

  • i would have died. that dakr hallway was fricken scary looking

  • wow what a wierd sounding alarm

  • sound like my washing machine and the anouncement like someone won a prize!! Nice melody!!

  • Lol I love this alarm

  • can you find the make of this alarm system? it may say so on the smoke detectors, speakers or on the callpoints/pullstations(whichever you have in Japan).

  • I never understand these alarms that aren't a continuous alarm sound, I usually fall asleep with the TV on or something, so can sleep through someone talking/shouting no problem! :P

  • That fire alarm sounds very convinced that it is not a false alarm. lol.

  • why was the light off in the elevator?

  • Probably because they want to discourage use of it.

  • lol japanese fire alarms sound liek an orchestra :)

  • what building was this?

  • hmmm i could swear i saw a kid in that elevator....either that or it was called..anyway where i am, if a fire alarm starts, ALL elevators shut off, whether ur stuck in it or not ;)

  • You can't get stuck in an elevator as a result of a fire alarm the elevators are programmed to go to the first floor or the garage if the alarm is pulled on the first floor then the doors open and then they shut down.

  • They don't always get called back.

  • Even if they don't the elevators still work like normal unless the fire would cut the power to it. of course you would have to worry about smoke inhalation when in an elevator that was operational during a fire.

  • they usually do that, except in some really crappy old buildings, like my friend's apartment where it kept running (he was smart enough to use the stairs anyways)

his building only has a manual-pull fire alarm, that's how unsafe it is lol

  • scary video. why are there no people running? was that a test? I see someone called the elevator :D not a good idea...

  • It's a good observation. There were no residents running out 'cause they were still sleeping at that time. This was a real fire alarm. I will post another video of a fire drill later on. We can differ one kind of alarm from each other by the word "kunren, kunren" (meaning "fire drill"). Thank you!

  • @huydosy what building is this?

  • I thought someone was playing a violin or viola. That was strange.

  • Awesome. It gets your attention yet is easy on the ears.

  • is this an office building?

  • i love that sound

  • whoa, japanese fire alarms go off in code 3?!

  • where in japan is this? Do all fire alarms in japan sound like this?

  • 'cause all buildings in Japan are installed with the similar alarm system, including fire, earthquake, and tsunami, the alarm in Japan sounds the same.

  • Sounds like japan

  • Yup!

  • What kind of an alarm system is that? Could you do some more videos about the alarm system by, showing us all of the controls and the speakers as well? Thanks! Anita

  • Sure. It's an integrated alarm system, consisting of fire alarm, earthquake alarm and tsunami alarm. I will post related videos later. Thanks for commenting.

  • You're welcome!

  • @huydosy What are the messages for when there is an earthquake or a Tsunami?
