I saw Weird Al singing this song while walking along a beach while the tide was coming in. It was a summer tv show with other songs on it too and it took place in the summer of course. That was when i first heard this song.

@britfrenir I finally found out what the name of that show was. It was Rock 'N' Roll Summer which was in the Summer of 1985. Weird al was bare foot and the tide there was a tide because water was on the beach.
