Terrific, and you even kept the string plucking in tempo, which would seem to take some practice. :-) Reminds me of an Ahn Trio concert I went to a few years ago, the pianist also had creative uses of her instrument.

@zeldaoot23 thank you, yeah it did take a lot of practice because it's completely different from hitting the keys and there is not much orientation between the strings. i never heard about the ahn trio before, gotta check them out.

@Verdegrand Hell yeah. I learned the piano collections version of that piece - I'm not great at getting the jazzy sound right unfortunately - but anyway, the version that you made was far superior to the PC one, which lacked punch. Yours was perfect though ^^

@GooseberryMk3 thank you, i was actually inspired by uematsu's playing during his live performances with the black mages. he seriously rocks with that hammond organ sound. doing a good arrangement of a piece that someone listens to a lot (depending on how much of a lunatic card collector the player is) is of course challenging, too :)

OMG I absolutely love this piece, its one of my favorites from FF VIII. I remember I would walk all over Balamb just to listen to this, for hours, this music is so relaxing and always made me feel peaceful and warm inside.

Then again, FFVIII has an incredibly amazing soundtrack, so yay!

But most of all, thank you so much for playing this :) Its been so long since I last heard this piece, and I was like O_O when I clicked this video.

Wow! What a beautiful grand piano, the internal wood looks cherry red like the sun is setting on it. I bet this was quite fun to play on V. I have always loved "Breezy" and I enjoyed this arrangement very much. Two vids in one week....you're spoiling us ;) Great to see you're still playing!. :)

how do you record an acoustic piano? do you use an external mic and then sync with a program? the sound is just harmonious... i need to know XD

@johncao2 hi, thank you, and yeah i use an external mic, the zoom h2 handy recorder. it's a budget entry level solution but it is still way better than using any cam mic. and then i sync video and audio together with virtualdub or sony vegas.

@DiscoInTheNunnery thanks, well i've done it before in the lost paintings (castlevania sotn) video, and while the technique isn't really common, it's been done before primarily from 20th century composers. it's a pain to do though if you're not used to it :(
